Obrigado! I went to Carnaval 2003 and have yet to return. Perhaps 2012 or 2013 will be the next year!!!
-
I, too, thank you for your update! They are always so welcoming! My good friend and I plan to be in Buenos Aires a mere five days in October. I'm looking forward to this trip, for this will be my fifth one to the "city of the portenos!" I'm anticipating some different experiences, the first one will be our having a wonderfully appointed luxury apartment in one of the Palermo barrios! We've basically lodged in Recoleta in the past, so a change in venue will be exciting as well as varied. I want to go to one or two Houses of Boys for that experience, too, and plan to engage the services of Augusto, a reputable guide, to accompany me there!!! We hope to try some new restaurants or different ones from the past and take in some cultural events, too!

This is truly sad! The young man in question was "truly a pretty one!" It is unfortunate that he found it necessary to take his own life regardless of what he was undergoing! One of my former students, also gorgeous in looks and had a lot going for him, hanged himself, thus leaving his survivors and supporters quite saddened for many a day and year! <I can still see some hearty footballers shedding tears while in class!>

My Friggin' Computer Cuts Off Whenever I Am Here!
axiom2001 replied to axiom2001's topic in The Beer Bar
I just downloaded "Foxfire." Hope this will enable me to enjoy certain forums here now without being cut off. About fifteen minutes ago, I'd written a review, or shall I state that I attempted to write one before the damn friggin' section cut off again. Now that I am using a different browser, perhaps it will work! I hope so because I want others to have as sterling time that I had with this stud from San Francisco!!!!! Aside from the humorous responses above and one serious one--I want TO THANK you all!!!! -
My Friggin' Computer Cuts Off Whenever I Am Here!

Thanks, guys!  -
Lately when I log in and go to certain forums at this site-- the mofo cuts out. This happens a lot when I am viewing that forum of all of that hot flesh and those "beautiful bones." It happened a few minutes ago when I was about to write about those "hot crossed buns" that have recently been put us for all of us to fancy and have our fantasies! Men, what should I do--contact APPLE about this? Or, you tell me, por favor!

Leblon -Ipanema Hotel Suggestions?
axiom2001 replied to a topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Read the most recent threads here about prices in Rio de janeiro. Also, read at www.gaytravelbrazil.com. I think we future travelers will not be able to find any really cheap lodging venues in this city anymore, especially one's that are decent and have a liberal visitor's policy which we all have found that The Atlantico Copa Hotel has been the one over these 10 years of our/my traveling there. My good friend and I plan to be in Rio in October, but this time we're opting to rent an apartment for ten days and share the cost! Even in our doing this, it "aint" cheap! -
In addition to what Tom so succinctly wrote-- consult this website: http://prague.gayguide.net/Gay_Guide/Bars_Clubs/

Damn, Tom, your update is enticing me to encourage Barr to go with me to Prague in 2012. I've been there once, but since I was with a group and prior to my engaging the services of escorts--"nothing" happened, but I found the "boys" to be quite desiring! I was horny for almost three weeks in my being around all of this "hot stuff" in this country before it split. (1990) I was also in the former Soviet Union during this trip as well which only added to my continued horniness! I'll know what to do when I return to this part of Europe on future trips!

The last guy was my second experience while I was at the now defunct Rogers during my first visit to Rio in 2002. He stayed around for a while before going to Madrid, Spain where he worked for www.arrowmen.com. He apparently is no longer there. <His name escapes me while I'm writing this! But he was yummmmmmy, indeed!>

I send to you Lurker for writing and sharing what you deemed we would want to read! Sorry your trip is about to conclude, but if you plan NOT returning to Rio de janeiro on your next trip, I'd recommend Bangkok "for the bunk" as well as for the type of guy you prefer. Because I like older men, I shied away from the abundance of young ones while I was in Bangkok and Pattaya and Phuket on my last trip there which was in 2007 or 2008. The first ten years of this century have gone by much too rapidly for me. If you do manage to get to this part of the world--the best time to go (weatherwise) is November through early February, and in writing all of the aforementioned, I MUST WRITE that I prefer Brasilian "boys"/men over the Thais! Most of the Thai guys looked out of place with me while we walked the streets; they were way too young looking for me, personally, even if they were in their early to mid 20s! Again, I ditto what others have already said! A thousand thank you's, man! May you have Safe travels during your return!
-
In regard to Tom's gift, damn, I'd take all of them in spite of their not being Brasilian!

I read recently, can't recall where, that Rio de janeiro is one of the most expensive places to visit now! That is a far cry from where "she" was when many of us began our journeys there, beginning in the late 90s and early 2000's. I'll get my experience with the dollar's taking a huge beating when I travel there in October. My friend and I plan to share a two bedroom apartment in Ipanema or Copacabana. We, more than likely, will eat our breakfast and lunch and dinner, if we have three meals daily, out! But I think we'll buy some good bread, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, and a few other items and have breakfast at home. Lunch will be out as well as dinner. I'll report while I am there (if I can) as well as when I return! I'll also just relate the costs of things in general for the benefit of others.

My amigo and I have been able to travel to Buenos Aires: he on two occasions and I four! Both of us have liked the men there, but they pale in comparison with the Brazilians. As Lurker mentioned--the Brazilians love to kiss, and it is NOT just slight. They like what I like when I am with a man:deep, wet kissing with lots of tongue play! Yum! Yum! Yum! Damn, can we wait for five months?
-
"We will see what happens Monday nite...." This whole vignette is "sweet!"
-
Lurker, you know "YOU HAVE MY SUPPORT!" Keep writing in anyway you damn deem necessary! You are doing us all a great favor by taking YOUR HOLIDAY time and recapitulating your experiences and sharing so that we who wil bel going later will NOT be too surprised by some things that have changed since our last visit, especially if they remain constant. You are doing others a favor as well, especially if they yearn to live vicariously from others' experiences!! I'm elated that you cited the name of the restaurant that cooks that wonderful frango. I'd always thought they best that I'd had was at Maxim's on Av Atlantica, but apparently not! My friend and I will definitely go to the place you recommended. I can smell the garlicky aroma of these small bits now!
-
Hitoallusa, you are quite welcome! I always like to respond positively to my cyberfriends!! -
-
OH, Yuk! Yuk! Yuk! Yuk! Yuk! :frantics:
-
hitoallusa-- when one is in an apartment in either Rio de janeiro or Buenos Aires, and I have been in the latter on 3 occasions--he DOES NOT feel like cooking when there is a plethora of excellent restaurants around in both cities. It is so much easier and convenient to pop into any venue and order. It saves having to shop, prepare, etc. In Buenos Aires it is much cheaper to eat in their restaurants than to do it yourself. Rio's restaurant prices were highly reasonable a few years back, but apparently that has changed since its currency (the REAL--pronounced as "H") has taken a huge rebound during the past 3 years over the US dollar. In both countries one gets a huge serving of food at most restaurants-- BIG enough to share one entree with a partner or guest. Thought I'd mention the above as an FYI!!!
-
Muito obrigado! I had to crack up when I came to the first line of the second major paragraph!!
-
Ola, Lurkers, I, too, am glad that u made it to the "Land of the Cariocas" safely! ...will come here daily to see what or who you have been "into!" ...also would like particulars about the apartment, but you can cite that when you return. Continue to enjoy--- enjoy--- enjoy!!
-
I now see where you are: you're back in Thailand, "the land of smiles!" Continue to enjoy yourself as I know you will! If I am correct--is Thailand your second home? I know you meandered for a while (way back when) when you asked for advice as where you should settle.
-
I had a wonderful trip there sometime during the early 2000's, but it was without my being able to sample some of the hot fruit of the land!! I'd highly recommend it! ...went to a concert hall and watched some male dancers in action. At the end of their number, (which was part of the dance routine) two guys kissed! I found it "scalding," but some of the other tourists were surprised!!

There are 3 escorts on www.gayromeo.com for Costa Rica. I only liked one of them, and it took a little for me to decide on him.

Your amigo is quite comely! As far as the good and bad nights at the saunas, I found them to be somewhat fickle. In 2006, I went to the now defunct Estacao on a Thursday night. It was jumping, but I was not. ...planned to return on a Saturday which I did. The place was "dead as a doorknob!" The same happened to me at "The Pointe!" One night hopping--another very dead, and this was in the spring! I do hope that what you cited will remain as such for a while.
