  1. ThANKS, TownsendPLocke and Pauleiro for your postings. They've been quite helpful for if I am able to venture to both places sometime during 2012. I'll continue to read all of your future posts and use what I am able to....
  2. Thanks for your response, Pauleiro!!!!
  3. Although I loved these falls from both the Argentine and Brasilian sides-- this hottie certainly enhances them! We definitely could have some sizzzzzzzzzzzling times together!!!!
  4. From this read I could very well sense how you must have enjoyed your torrid experience with Julio!!!!! Obrigado!!!
  5. From this read I could very well sense how you must have enjoyed your torrid experience with Julio!!!!!
  6. Hope these same guys are performing when I hope to be at Club 117 in October 2011! (We have our plane tickets and a reserved apartment; now I have to do other things to finalize this impending and highly anticipated trip. I haven't been in Rio for enjoyment since 2007. ...was last there in 2010 but was at the airport for over 6 hours awaiting my flight back to the States. Did not want to go through customs again, etc....)
  7. Many thanks! Muito obrigado, Tomas/Tom!!! I think Barr and I really have to make a conscious effort to do a weekend in this city. Last eve after I finished reading and posting--I fired off an email to him regarding this part of our trip. He's game yet highly inquisitive! (You know Barr!!!!) He wanted to know about the hotel. I told him it's Mercure (something). But, forget about the hotel--I want to meet that German guy, for I already have a penchant for hirsute, hot and hung men from that country!!!
  8. Tom, you really were adventurous in your having written such an interesting and detailed report. I give you a truly "loud shout out and thank you!" This prepares Barr and me for our impending trip in terms of expectations!!! Secondly--do you have any pics of your German amigo which can be uploaded here? I'd love to see what he looks like. Barr and I anticipate in going to Porte Algre for the first time when we're in Brasil, but recently neither of us have discussed this component. Again, muito obrigado!!!
  9. At the sites that I have found myself going to on an almost daily basis when I am not traveling-- it has been mighty slow in terms of threads and posts. This site is indeed indicative of the paucity of topics and threads and posts. What could be the cause? Summer holiday? Outdoor activities? Folks weaning themselves from their computer? What do you think it is?
  10. You are not alone, Strafe13!!!!!
  11. You're welcome! I thought agoda was more than just for hotels! Excuse the error!
  12. You are going there at a super-great-time if the weather stays consistent. December-February are stellar months weather-wise. When I was last there in 2008 or 2009, who can remember precise years these days, the weather was supreme in all places where I went. I was fortunate enough to have stayed for almost a month, two weeks with a tour group and two weeks on my own! Sorry I cannot answer your initial query, though, but might chime in and suggest that you try www.agoda.com or some such site. I know hotel rates are great here; I don't know about air fares although the two that Lurker suggested have been great for me for some of my travels.
  13. "...what treasures await me this evening..." Um, I am envious!
  14. Recently I have been spending an inordinate amount of each day at the net and at four sites in particular. At three of these the postings and gallery pics have decreased big time since summer is here. Apparently more guys who spent time at their computer during the winter months have decreased since a new season has been on us for the past four days. A similar thing happened last year. I have to get away and begin to enjoy the outdoors here in California but only when the sun is ablaze. Our weather has been fickle for sure, summer time or otherwise; the whole global climate conditions have been in a flux for the past five or more years for sure! So, men, either go to your computers and spend endless time on them, or enjoy the weather that permits you to do a variety of things away from it. I hope that I can begin to wean myself from this one feature, though! I'm becoming too addicted to it! Lurker, the above somewhat addresses your concern regarding postings, etc....
  15. Lurkerspeaks, thanks for beginning this particular thread. I completely agree with you although I have yet to return to Brasil and to Rio de janeiro in particular! You hit it on the head when you wrote about the world situation and the prices, not just Brasil! If all goes as planned, I will be back in Rio in October after being away for four years. My friend and I already have our tickets. I'd wanted to travel business but gave in to having to purchase a coach ticket which will take me from Miami to Buenos Aires to Rio to MIAMI. The cost was more than I've ever paid during my previous 7 trips. We have also made arrangements to stay in apartments in both places too. We have yet to see how much in cost the cultural components will be along with our eating at various, selective restaurants, but we ARE NOT ALL THAT CONCERNED about the cost, and he has much more money than I. We want to experience "Mother Brasil" again; we want to partake in many of those features which we have never experienced; we want to meet a few guys (escorts); we want to enjoy ourselves without having to worry about the rise in costs. So, to conclude, again thanks for presenting what you presented. PS I've always stated that if guys were not that pleased with their "findings" in the sauna scene, then hire independent escorts from the www.netgay.com.br website. I engaged the services of three guys from a non defunct agency in Rio and DID NOT break the bank either. Today there are more independent escorts at that site than there ever has been, and I have been perusing Alexandre's site for over 10 years now! Take the plunge, men, and report back on the various sites that we Brasil lovers frequent! Currently the Tower site is down. I sent the webmaster an email asking if it will make an appearance soon but have yet to hear back from him, but since I have 3.5 months before taking off-- I'll wait patiently!!!!!!
  16. PRESIDENT Obama's somewhat "look-a-like" on the left is a cutie! ...love his brilliant smile as well as his friend's. Because I like men who are more mature, I'd have to let both of these cute young men to escape what I have to offer!!
  17. I'd like to pick up guys #2 and #4 if they are different individuals, but if the pics reveal the same cutie--then it's one from this presentation!
  18. I was completely oblivious to this feature until today when I received a notification via email. Just by chance I saw this just a few minutes ago!

Thanks and forgive me since I'd not responded!

  19. Lucky, I posted at www.gaytravelbrazil.com and wish to post here as well. I read your paragraph. I guess the response to it which was indeed rather, rather long, confused me! Sorry, man!
  20. We know that the Brasilian economy has grown tremendously since some of us were last there during the latter part of the last decade. My take is: go and make the better of it, or not go! The same goes for the saunas in the various areas! Go and see for yourself and partake or not partake! My good friend and I will be traveling to both Buenos Aires and Rio de janeiro in October respectively. This will be my 8th to Brasil and my 5th to Buenos Aires. Both of us have our tickets (his business class ticket with miles and my coach at $1,130.60 with TAM from Miami, a much greater rate for me from the past. I'd not had to pay more than $800 but over $500 from 2002-2007. In both cities we plan to stay in well-appointed apartments, sharing the costs, and although both of us will be paying more for everything, we are not letting that deter our going. We plan to go occasionally to the saunas while in Rio. If we see that the offerings are not to our liking, we'll just forgo this part of our impending experiences, but at this moment I am viewing my future traveling experiences optimistically. We'll see when we arrive and ADJUST! Last September I was in Italy. The Euro vs the US dollar "kicked my butt," but I DID NOT LET this hinder my going and enjoying myself. Tuscany and the Almafi Coasts were stellar; it was one of my best trips for me! I had one sexual encounter in Rome with a guy (independent escort) I'd met in Rio in 2007. He gave me a much, much better time in Brasil than he did in Roma. I was disappointed. I gave him EU150 and might see him in the future once he's told what I will be expecting from him. Well, I hope the preceding helps, and to Lucky-- I did not read what you'd written, but might I encourage you "to take the plunge and travel to my most favorite city of this our world: Rio, and enjoy! You can do it!!!
  21. Thanks, but I'll remain optimistic! I was in Buenos Aires during the last election and did not encounter any difficulty whatsoever! Also, "the Portenos" are known for their spontaneous strikes and marches. Have been there when they've occurred, too. I guess I've been fortunate and hope to continue to be so, but again, I always go into situations OPTIMISTICALLY after hearing about some negatives and acute problems.
  22. If I am not mistaken, November--December--January are the best months for weather in Thailand. You might not be able to get a hotel room per night for that right during those times. But again, I might be wrong! The last time that I was in Thailand was in December/February of 2007. The weather was superb per day in Bangkok, Pattaya, and Phuket. I stayed at the T...Hotel, can't spell it right now off the top of "me" head, and I found the rate to be reasonable; it was above the fifty dollar range per night!
  23. Do these saunas have guys "for rent?" I don't like this wording!!!
  24. This was the first year in a long time that I watched the TONY AWARDS from beginning to end and found this event to be stellar indeed! I liked it much, much more than most of the OSCAR AWARD shows that I've endured over the years! I was truly impressed with Mr. Harris the mc; the guy is talented in many ways! I think he's cute, too, although I would not want to engage in those type of fun things with him! I like virile, handsome daddy types!
