Precisely, Firecat! Both men have contributed a lot here, especially when it came to travel to Brasil and beyond. In fact, not only did they contribute photographs of note and sagas of their experiences, but they gave restaurants to experience, areas of Rio and Porto Allegre, and I think, Sao Paulo and other places to venture. I've known TomCal for a while and had the good fortune of meeting him while in Rio de janeiro at that long-remembered FESTA which was held at The Atlantico Copacabana Hotel in 2003. From that time onward, he and I have kept in touch via emails as well as from this site. I truly would like for both him and Lurker to reconsider and return!!! Both have been missed tremendously! That was the initial reason why I thought it best to post this thread!

Over the days and weeks and months and years, the "so called quality" of the guys vary, so if you decide to travel to Rio, just go and see who's available and enjoy! I'll never forget when I was in Rio de janeiro in 2010, one night at the now defunct Estaco {sp} there were plenty of boys for one to meet, but when I went again two nights later, the place was sad and deadly dull. The same happened when I last went to Point 202 where I've not been in about three or four years. The hot nights change as frequently as the guys who decide to come to the saunas to earn some reais!

I concur with citylaw1's suggestion. At another site an escort thought it was his right to correct me. He did it more than once, but when I ignored and did not respond to what he'd written, his ridicule and sarcasm and pseudo-repartee ceased. This morning {7.3.13} on my Facebook page a very handsome and quite hung escort wrote that a poster on his page had commented that he, escort, looked fat in a photo. This bothered the escort; I wrote that he should ignore those comments that bothered him and not dignify them in anyway by responding to the idiotic remark, for the escort is far from being fat; in fact, he's muscled and has a taut bod and is strikingly goodlooking! But, Lurker, I do appreciate your chiming in and relaying the prime reason for your sudden disappearance. And I now know why I have not heard from TomCal, here, too! This is a loss as well! Would appreciate that both of you reconsider and do what you enjoy doing in spite of some who perhaps are here to keep "shit" stirring.

Since this apparently and UNNECESSARILY UPSET YOU, request from the webmaster that my comment be deleted; I will be amenable to this! No, I have not stayed at this property which is written up well in PASSPORT, May 2013 issue. Their "no guests allowed" would bother me, but I think I might adapt and just meet company at some of the better motels in Rio.

Also, as long as I've been at this site and at www.daddysreviews.com. the term "boy" has been used in reference to the guys who work at the saunas. I use it with quotes sometimes, but personally I prefer to use guys or men when writing as well as discussing. That's my bias which I have accepted! I liked the Royal Rio Copacabana back in 2006 or 07; I stayed in a large room on an upper floor and thought the price was equal to the services rendered. To date I use apartments which are less pricey and more private because I DO NOT like what the hotels are charging visitors now {Thanks for checking; I did this earlier when I thought I would be in Brasil next month and the next. I checked hotel rates; then I went to two sites which has apartments for rent; there is a special thread to post and use for apartments, plus TomCal and a few others have given us heads up regarding the rental agencies.}

Thanks for clarifying for me. Postings of writing and photos have been quite lacking at this site/forum as well as a few others where I read and write and view. Guess the summer holiday time has folks doing other things. But, I for one, like to read and view and live vicariously through the experiences of others if I, myself, am not traveling, too!

The last time I was in Pointe 202 was in October of 2008. It was dismal then as opposed to earlier years, 2003 and beyond. I've found the sauna scene and the saunas to be ever-changing from the first time I visited Rio up to now! Wonder if they'll be around for another decade?
