  1. www.justfly.com is listing a multiple of airlines offering fares of $244 ROUND-TRIP from Los Angeles to Bangkok in January. Fares never before seen on these routes could make it possible for you to see Bangkok and the famous Bangkok temples for very little dough. Once you get there, food is cheap and plentiful. Hotel rates are a far cry from what they are here. Nice hotels can easily be had for under $100 a night. So, just fly!
  2. I have never heard of phone theft in the saunas. Sure, it's possible, but a guy would lose his job if caught.
  3. If you are watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade, you just saw a performance by the cast of Hairspray Live, to air on NBC on December 7th. If you liked that preview as much as I did, then it becomes must see TV on NBC! The sett looks great, the choreography superb, and the cast is fantastic, starting with Harvey Fierstein again playing Edna Turnblad. Link Larkin is played by Garrett Clayton, the handsome young star of King Cobra, where he played Brent Corrigan, a former male escort. Sexy Derek Hough is in the cast as well, looking younger than he has in years. He plays Corny Collins. Rosie, Martin Short. and Andrea Martin are other well-known cast members. No Veronica Lake, but Tracy Turnblad seems adequately covered by Maddie Baillio. I enjoyed Hairspray on Broadway when a friend and I fought deep snow drifts to get to the theater. We were rewarded with good seats as many Broadway fans couldn't get in to Manhattan. It's going to be a lot easier to see it on TV!
  4. So my new computer is up and running. I checked the cookies, and so many of the old standbys are back, I will stop deleting them. Twitter was not only back, but was included in my start-up menu. Thanks, Dell. I don't want it. No cookie form the one that wants to lower my pant, oops, bills. But Toyota had 2 cookies on there, and I had not visited any site related to them. Generally cookies don't bother me unless they are going to follow me around the internet. That's not nice! These might be better!
  5. Thanks, Kevin C. I have just been checking AA.com, since we always fly American. The prices I quoted are for next summer. AA has moved their newer planes to other routes, so Rio is getting the old ones. Naturally that costs more!
  6. Acapulco. I used to love the place, and the college guys who came down from Mexico City. But I'd rather like to keep my head, so no more Acapulco. Beautiful place, though.
  7. A year ago had I purchased tickets for now, they would have been a good investment. A year from now I imagine Hamilton will have lost a little steam, but those folks who paid $449 and up will still be happy...I hope.
  8. It was just a question, not a judgment. I was truly curious why you paid the way that you did. But I see your point about not wanting to get into the conflicts about what is adequate pay. Your statement that everybody got what they wanted sums it up.
  9. Was there much activity surrounding Black Awareness Day, or did the sign take care of it? I am glad to see that you posted it here too.
  10. Well, Bobbalino, it's a good account, truncated or not. But if the pay is just peanuts to you, it isn't to the workers. So why not spread the wealth, especially as they both worked so hard?
  11. Would the guy have to use complete words? I mean if he says Engl when he means English, does it count as English? If you say Prtgs and he doesn't know that you mean to say Portuguese, will that mean a deduction from his pay? Why can't you just say what you mean without abbreviation? Is it that hard? I've been doing it all of my life and it's no burden. And are you going to pay him in res or reais? Could make a difference!
  12. We see what we want to see...to a point. When the economy falls all around us, we'll see that whether we want to or not. And when the nukes start flying, I doubt people will confuse them with hummingbirds.
  13. Okay. I will bite. What is Dropbox and what do you need to pay $10 a month for?
  14. Say, I have 2 tickets to see Hamilton next October. A year ahead of time, but they are the best seats not costing a fortune. The seat next to mine sells for $449, versus $199 for my tickets. All in all, still a high price for theater. But I have seen Hamilton once already, and it is nothing short of amazing. Didn't think Pence and I would agree on much, and so soon too.
  15. I wonder if those who have children and grandchildren are laughing.
  16. No, those seats are for regular economy. I am looking at next summer, so the fares are probably not going to go down until capacity can't be reached at these fares.
  17. Dollar down, airfares up! Almost $1400 to fly to Rio from Palm Springs. We used to be able to get frequent flyer awards in coach for 40,000 miles R/T. Today they wanted 150,000...no kidding!
  18. Hey, Donald, when you go to England to meet the Queen, DO NOT grab her pussy! Anyone else have some good advice?
  19. So I cleaned out all of the cookies. Then I signed in to my 8 favorite sites. Whereupon, I took another look at the cookie list, which minutes ago is empty. Well, most of the cookies I deleted are back. My favorite sites do not come to me unattached. Lowermybills.com needs a cookie on my computer? I don't think so. Same for Twitter.
  20. Everyday my computer picks up cookies. Boytoy.com gives one, which I assume gives them the power to recognize me when I come back. I don't think it is a tracking cookie, but it might be. Tracking cookies seem to be those whose donors feel entitled to follow me around the web, supposedly so that they can better tailor ads to me. Many if not most cookies are hard to figure. Why do I always have cookies from lowermybills.com and twitter.com, both sites that I don't use. When I go to my cookie list, I see that most of them involve ads. If you delete them, they come right back. Unavoidable might be the right word. So, what should my attitude be toward cookies? Friend or foe? Are they really tracking me around the internet? Do they watch porn with me?
  21. The jumper looks a bit like Eric Trump. But then, he would only be jumping for joy. Ah, such a sad day.
  22. Tomcal, on what is a sad day here in the States, it's nice to be able to come here and read an upbeat report about gay life in Merida. Thanks.
  23. I am not a fan of the Clintons. I don't trust them. Any of them. But, I voted for Hillary simply because the Republican Party nominated the one person who is the most unqualified candidate in our nation's history. I predict Clinton wins. Oh, by how much? Nationally I'd say 4-5 points.
  24. Well, the fact is that the new mayor will be the one with the power....and how will he use it?
  25. Wow! I made 2 mistakes in one thread. Comey did not stand up to John Ashcroft, he stood up to the guys who would act on Ashcroft's behalf while the Attorney General was hospitalized. He beat them to the hospital and informed Ashcroft of their shenanigans. And the President can fire the Director of the FBI. Bill Clinton did. Sorry for being so wrong.
