  1. I completely agree, Lookin.
  2. Yes, it is a nice report, and I thank you for it. having said that, I would appreciate a little more white space for my older eyes. Indentations between paragraphs, and shorter paragraphs! That's enough from an old English teacher!
  3. towleroad has a video of LMAO's new video: I'm Sexy and I Know It. It did two things- made me laugh, and reminded me that I've always wished I had rhythm! Until EXPAT posts the video here, use this link to enjoy a funny and sexy 3 minute show: I'm Sexy and I Know It
  4. Speaking of ways to lose weight: (My thread may be toasted too!)
  5. Oz, thanks for taking the time to give us such an in depth look at both cities, and the differences between them. I don't think one can easily tire of Bangkok, unless big cities like that are not your thing. For me, Pattaya gets old quickly. But then, I'd have to qualify that to say when I was there at the same time you were, I had a pretty good time.
  6. "Check Your Pulse Before you get out of bed in the morning, press your index and middle fingers against the inside of your wrist below your thumb and count the beats for 30 seconds." Haha. If I get up in the morning, I know I have a pulse.
  7. I thought marijuana was supposed to give you the munchies, and make you lethargic? Not good diet methods. However, I have to say that I do not know any obese potheads!
  8. CTGuy, I have no problem with you seeing this differently than I do, but what is so funny then? The boy has to act effeminate so he will be taken as gay- that's a stereotype, why do some think it is funny to perpetuate that? Why do we find effeminate gay men funny in the first place- at least funny enough to laugh at them? Beyond that, the kid did not do a very good job!
  9. The Reverend Jesus Silva has died at the age of 78. The NY Times reports: "Father Silva was still a seminarian in 1956 when he came to the aid of 15 boys who had been orphaned or abandoned and found refuge for them in his mother’s house. Inspired by the 1938 film “Boys Town,” which he had seen as a child, and by a distinctly Marxist interpretation of the Gospels, he established the Ciudad de los Muchachos, or Boys Town, on property outside Ourense purchased for him by his brother, a lawyer." In the 70's, the Spanish Boys Town circus toured the world, including above at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York. More than 50,000 boys passed through Benposta, which served as a model for similar projects in Belgium, Colombia, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Mozambique and the Dominican Republic. In this day and age, it is surprising that no accusations of impropriety survive Fr. Silva, given how rampant was priest molestation over the past 50 years. By all accounts the Reverend lived a modest life, using the circus as a means of raising funds to support the children at his Boys town. Other Boys Towns, such as in Omaha, Nebraska, suffered pedophile scandals. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/17/world/europe/jesus-silva-priest-who-founded-a-boys-town-dies-at-78.html?ref=obituaries http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/religion-obituaries/8758373/Father-Jesus-Silva.html
  10. Has anyone seen Hillary and Bill together in the last couple of years? (My thread here has turned into one of the all-stars of the Politics forum, so I thought I could toss out a frivolous inquiry with no harm! I do wonder.)
  11. Shh. This is one of the reasons I get such good seats for Yankee games in Oakland at a low price!

    white socks

This picture may not last, but this an Adidas slide, for those, like me, who had never heard of them.
  13. Alexander Skarsgård plays the main villain, and in the rape scene he is shirtless, and hunkier than in the above pic. The camera lingers over his bare torso, and it is erotic, but then, the character is such a creep. This is when I walked out- at the point where I had some lust for a rapist! His creepy buddies were waiting their turn, and that I wasn't going to see! (No spoiler as the rape is mentioned in the reviews, and is apparently a well-known plot point of the earlier film.)

    Dental Deceit

A few yeas ago a bitch of a hygeniest was cleaning my teeth, and suggested I might want root planing. I said I would think about it, but before I was out of the chair she was saying that she would start right now. I got up and left, giving her and the dentist a piece of my mind. The price then was $125 a quadrant.
  15. Today I discovered my personal limit on what I am willing to see on the movie screen. As much as I like James Marsden, I left the movie after an hour. Gruesome is too generous a term for what they put on the screen. I didn't see the Peckinpah version, so I guess I only had a small idea of what I was in for.
  16. Alcohol is a bad solution.
  17. The one next to you!
  18. Video of a nude bather with a remarkable resemblance to the poster Lucky as surfaced, but Lucky denies it is him in the video. See for yourself:
  19. Let's not bring Pepsi into this. That would be like talking about girls in a thread on the joys of gay sex! Start another thread if you wish! But you are right abut the 6 oz. bottle...it did seem to have the best taste. Coke prices stayed at a nickel for 70 years, partly because the vending machines at the time could only handle a single coin.
  20. The article above, of course, does not mention boys. But all you have to do is go to Cam4 and you will get a yearning to see them in person, for example:
  21. From today's Times: Colombia NONSTOPS FROM Atlanta, Houston, Miami, New York, Washington and Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, Fla. WHAT YOU GET Tropical beaches; Amazon jungle; snowcapped Andes mountains. WHY GO NOW? Having made great strides in safety, Colombia is back on many travelers’ wish lists. Last year, the number of visitors from the United States rose 10 percent, according to Proexport Colombia, the nation’s tourism promoter. Though the State Department continues to caution United States travelers of violence by narco-terrorist groups in some rural areas and big cities in its Travel Warning on Colombia, it also notes that security has “improved significantly” in recent years in tourist destinations like Cartagena and Bogotá. International hotel chains have taken note. Next year, Colombia expects 42 hotels to open, adding 7,287 rooms to the country. Still, prices remain low, even at the high end. The JW Marriott Bogotá, which opened last year, was recently offering last-minute weekend rates from $209 on its Web site. Oasis Collections, a boutique rental agency with design-oriented apartments in Latin America, has several affordable Colombia options including a three-bedroom on a private island in the Rosario Islands for $2,880 a week.
  22. I once went shitless for a whole week. So my sympathies are with Anderson Cooper here.
  23. One thing I agree with the article about is the need to get the Coke as cold as possible before drinking. I put my Mexican Coke bottle in the freezer for 13 minutes before drinking it. (It freezes at about 14 minutes!) Now, TY, I also drank those nickel Cokes that tasted so good. What were they sweetened with? Sugar! And that's why Mexican Coke wins the taste test hands down. The 7 of 8 in the study above were probably raised on American Coke, and that's what they are used to. So naturally they would pick that one in the taste contest. But those of us who grew up with sugared Coke find that sugar is the only way to go in a soda. And don't use ice in the drink. It just waters down the flavor. Get it cold in the freezer first!
  24. Failure seems to be the fear with French banks. How about that, bibottomboy? Do you keep your funds in a French bank? What's the word over there?
