A "bicurious" member of Cam4 from the Netherlands is raising tempers at this moment as he wears a T-shirt with a large Nazi symbol. He is obviously there for the shirt more than for the sex as he is wearing a pair of well-worn grey briefs. Given that he is number 4 on the male chart, comments are limited to premium members, but many are letting him know their distaste for his shirt. Other racists then reply with their own hate comments. The N-word is common to some of them, at least when I was reading it. So far, the Nazi has been on for 155 minutes. I have often wondered what moderation there is on Cam4. Underage boys tend to get the hook pretty quickly, so there is some. I'll let others claim that free speech allows him to wear what he wants. Would we tolerate Nazi rantings here? Clearly not.

No one is bitching about avatars. People often like to see their threads remain on topic, and why shouldn't they? Granted, it doesn't always happen, and in the scheme of things, it is not a big problem. But it is easy to maintain a certain etiquette in the forum. Respect the thread that someone else starts and you have nothing to contribute to. If you are an occasional poster, take a look at what is happening in the forum before you post. If you did, you might see that your friend is being complimented in a separate thread, and you might then put your compliment where it belongs, and is most likely to be seen by your friend. Simple, huh? No feathers get ruffled, the friend gets his compliment, and your return to the forum flows easily into the mix. What's so wrong, or bitchy, about expecting some respect?

The difference between the Beverly Hills and the Sheraton is $200 for the weekend. But, one drawback might be the noise level...if tomcal and company are staying there!

That sounds scary. But, researching on my computer, it seems that they are mostly compressed files that are harmless at worst and needed at best. This is not fun.

It was the AVG boot scan that quarantined the trojan horse. But, I did download Avast! and am scanning now. So far they have found one infected file.

Tomcal is correct that the airfare is about $132...from Sao Paolo. But, flying to POA out of GIG is more expensive. So we paid $183 each for a round trip from GIG to POA to GRU. That beats the $259 they wanted in August though! We will be in POA Friday afternoon until Monday afternoon. So 3 nights in Rio, 3 nights in Porto Alegre, and one and a half nights in Sao Paolo. I hope Lagoa is not closed on Mondays.

Buy a new scale! We went to Costco to get a scale since our new gym is frugal and does not provide one. My weight at the store on their sample scale was 4 pounds higher than on the one we took home. The bf was not as lucky. Using the same scales, he only lost 2 more pounds with the new scale.

Whenever I look at the GOL fare, they seem to be twice what Tomcal finds. I consider myself pretty savvy at finding good fares too. But, we plan to join him in Porto Alegre. I have a relative there who will pass out fliers with tomcal's picture on them at the saunas. It will advise the boys I like, and only them, using a special secret formula, to avoid tomcal until they have had first dibs on me. Otherwise, we would all have to sit around and wait until he had chosen his boy(sss) for the night!

We fixed a lot of it, enough to get him back up and running. I have no doubt that the virus was the same as the one discussed in my first post. One that was holding you up for $75. Yet I do not have the computer knowledge to determine what, if any, permanent damage was done to the hard drive. As for backing up files, we have the San Disc, which is apparently full, and signed up for Dropbox, but don't know how to use it. Part of the problem is it does seem that many files were stripped by the virus, and someone smarter than me will have to find out what.

You are welcome to be that person, BiBottom Boy. Almost 12 years ago I started posting at the Hooboy site,expecting my interest to peter out quickly. Now I am approaching 12,000 posts there. They have a poster who has amassed some 5000 posts in 16 months. He may soon be ahead of me! People used to suggest that I get a life, but that kind of talk has stopped as they realize that posting is like any other hobby. If you like bowling, or even tennis, go as often as you want. It's the same for posting, except that you run the risk that folks will tire of you if you post too much. I think all posters want to be read, so that is the only limitation I can think of.

And, speaking of computer crap, is your junk mail receiving daily emails from Canadian-Pharmacy, with an ad for discounts om ED drugs? I wrote Hotmail about this, but they did not respond. If you block the sender, they just use a different email address each day. I suspect they are botnets set up on various unsuspecting computers. As far as I can tell, Hotmail does not allow you to use a filter to block ads with certain words, say, such as Canadian! But I do picture every Canadian man walking round with a perpetual hard on.

Although my computer problems yesterday seemed to have righted themselves, later in the evening the bf had a crash so severe that I had seen nothing like it before. His whole hard drive appears to have been wiped out. The antivirus scan said there was a trojan horse, but no ideas were provided on how to remove it. A screen popped up saying that he needed to do a system scan, which, when done, claimed that it fixed several items but not others. Then it wanted $75 for a program to fix the problems. That's when I got suspicious. And, it appears, rightly so. Today's LA Times has an article on malware that did this very thing: Computer virus warning -- The Federal Trade Commission has started mailing refunds to 300,000 consumers who were victims of a scam in which they were tricked into buying unnecessary software to remove nonexistent viruses and spyware from their computers. The perpetrators of the scheme caused ads to appear on victims’ computers, informing them that a “system scan” had detected viruses and other threats that needed to be removed immediately. In December 2008 the FTC obtained a court order putting a halt to the scheme. The FTC alleged that the defendants conned more than 1 million consumers into buying software products such as Winfixer, Drive Cleaner and Antivirus XP to remove the malware the bogus scans had supposedly detected. Well, good enough for them, but the computer that bf uses still appears to have no usable hard drive left. His list of programs is blank. We ran spybot search and destroy, but it found nothing. Running it on my computer found 59 spy programs, but then, I have files on my hard drive. So, it appears that we have to hire someone to see if the computer is repairable. It will be a bitch to have to find all of those lost files for a new computer. (BTW, when the crash occurred, the bf was @ muscleservice.com)

I was amazed to see that we could fly for free on American to Sao Paolo at that time. The frequent flyer ticket is only 40,000 miles round trip! The problem is that we have 100,000 miles "in the bank" with American for our canceled flight last month. If we fly the same itinerary, we can use the miles without paying the $175 fee to return them to my account. But, our itinerary was to Rio, not Sao Paolo. So, I checked flights from PSP to GIG, and the outbound was available at 20,000 miles, but the return was not. Unless we return from Sao Paolo. But, if we take a 40,000 mile itinerary to save the $175, we still have 20,000 miles left, and to get them back we have to pay $175. They don't make it easy! But, in short, tomcal, we may be joining you that weekend! UPDATE: In the short time I spent waiting to speak to an agent on AA, and then explaining to him what we wanted to do, the 40,000 miles tickets disappeared! UPDATE: But, it's still available if we want to fly from LAX!
