Rick Perry's Gay Partners Come Out Of The Woodwork
Lucky replied to BiBottomBoy's topic in The Beer Bar
Your coterie of journalist friends apparently had nothing to share with the author of the book referred to in gawker. It is just trash in terms of evidence that Perry is gay. -
Kids, kids, this is a fantasy. Of course I know he is going to jail. But suppose the movie wants to do the scene were he commits a burglary while naked. Now which actor would you prefer for that role? I am going to go with Stark Sands. I saw him in Bonnie & Clyde when it played in La Jolla, and he had no problem showing his ass every night!

No, actually. I set it all aside and am reading a book- A Firing Offense, by David Ignatius, 1997. But the bf is using his computer, not with the Time Warner wireless, nor with the SMC temporary password, which didn't work. He is using a neighbor's unsecured connection.

A young man known as the Barefoot Bandit has pleaded guilty in Island County, Washington, "to a string of burglaries and identity thefts carried out during a two-year crime spree...earned his unusual moniker after going on an alleged burglary spree targeting planes, boats and luxury cars in the US and Canada. He was said to have committed some of the crimes without shoes on -- and sometimes nude -- once leaving behind 39 chalk footprints and the word "C'ya!" Harris-Moore gained infamy after allegedly teaching himself to fly, then stealing four aircraft, as well as cars, boats, bikes and cash in a spree across Washington, Idaho, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois and Indiana." After evading authorities for 2 years, he was arrested when a plane he had stolen crashed in the Bahamas. Seeing the pic of the young man made me think that he was an adventurous guy who might get a movie out of this...wait a minute! He might? No, indeed. He has a 1.3 million contract for a movie on his life. I hope he plays himself. Dustin Lance Black, who won an Academy Award for ‘Milk’, is working on the screenplay and has met with Harris-Moore in prison. Oh, how you kid me. I did contact Time Warner by chat. He dumped so many confusing instructions on me that I might as well have been trying to build a space craft to the moon. One thing that was clear was that he seemed to think I needed to change my password to my desktop, even though I was quite specific it was their router. I finally gave up. So far the whole thing has been a mess. I did notice today at Costco that the Roku I got from Amazon at $89.99 was $84.00 there, AND included the HDMI cable that I had to buy separately. So, since my Roku would not recognize my Time Warner router password, and since I don't want to pay $10 a month for the router, I went to Best Buy where the salesman sold me a Netgear Router that he said had extended range. Whether it was good enough I would not know until I tried it, but he said to hold off on the range extender until I found out. SO, I take it home, unbox it, and immediately see that it only has an ethernet cord to connect it to the modem. It has no part that was to be connected to the computer I wanted the router to send the signal to. Well, my computer does not have an ethernet port, so the new router was worthless to me. I went up to Costco, which thankfully is not far, and looked at the computers they sell, none of which have an ethernet port. I did notice that they sell a router, just one, which also requires an ethernet port. It was $10 more than the Netgear one I bought. When I went to CNET to see the reviews on it, they weren't good. So, FourAces, I went to the SMC site, reset the router as they ordered. Then, to enter a new password, I have to log into the router. SMC provides my choice of 3 addresses to do so: How do I Login to the Router? Open a new browser window and in the address bar type in 'http://192.168.2.1' or 'http://192.168.2.1:80' or 'http://192.168.2.1:88' and press enter. You guessed it. Not one of those addresses worked for me. They do allow a default password, but that is only when you have not already chosen and entered a password. So, so far I have nothing from my Roku and am looking at spending more.

The news today reveals that of that $107 a month I was paying for cable tv, about $100 a year of it went to sports programming that I never watch. What I did watch was baseball, and to get Extra Innings, the channel that allows for the most games, I paid $189 a year separately. The article comments on how more people are dropping cable tv in tight economic times. You'd think cable channels would be paying attention, but all they offered me was yet another bundle of channels that I wouldn't watch. We have the roku box, but in order to connect it to our wi-fi,it needs the password. Well, we have tried every which way to enter the password, but it never takes. So, so far, no roku,.

Rick Perry's Gay Partners Come Out Of The Woodwork

"...every single journalist I know who works in Texas ..." And how many would that be? how does a guy who lives in France get to know these journalists living in Texas? I don't know any. -
Hmmm, I have ridden on an elevator with Connie Chung, and then Yoko Ono. I have crossed the street standing next to Nick Lachey and then Kevin Bacon. I have walked the sidewalk next to Al Sharpton and before that B.D. Wong. Of course, I've seen untold celebrities on various stages, in passing on the street (Ricky Martin, Lauren Bacall, Eric Stoltz, Fran Drescher, Eric McCormack) and in stores, restaurants and clubs. I rarely say anything to them, but Kevin Bacon saw me recognize him and gave me such a hateful look so as to keep me from speaking to him. And, a friend of mine had an affair with one of the great rock legends. A long affair, well, six months, which must be an eternity for the rock star. This legend was not openly gay. And no, I can't say. Who would I like to speak with? Brad Pitt, Johnnie Depp, Mario Lopez...well, you get the picture.

Remember how excited we were to take up the Challenge so long ago? If not, take a look at this thread. Even though we may have record numbers online here, they are mostly lurkers, not posters. At times, MER seems quite quiet-too quiet. It would be nice to see people post with more regularity, hehe, and post more often. We don't want the same avatars all of the time, do we? So let's give folks a response and encourage the guys with few posts or who do not post often to keep coming back. Let's encourage lurkers to start talking. Lurking would be more fun if more posts went up, right lurkers? So do your part! With the holidays upon us, people will have other obligations, and we want to keep the forum going too. So, a special effort may be needed. But MER is worth it, is it not? PS: Keenan-Smith, I see you are online now. Let's hear from you!

Gary Busey has endorsed Newt. Who cares who Gary Busey supports?
-
You guys can be hard crowd! No one got a laugh from these?
-
One of the advantages of a community forum- someone has gone forth ahead of you to shine the way!
-
It probably takes a poker player to deal with Best Buy to get a deal.
-
Well, that does indicate a certain mentality, one I hate to see gays endorse.

...national parks. At least, that's what the bold "head"line says at nydailynews.com: Marijuana growers killing national forests and parks, U.S. Forest Service says "The outlaw reefer growers seek out national parkland for their hidden weed farms because the forests are incredibly vast, security is incredibly light and conditions are ripe for growing, the website Live Science reported." “The most disgusting aspect of it is the pollution,” (a researcher) said. “They just pour chemicals like nobody’s business ... and they get washed into streams that flow through national parks.” Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/marijuana-growers-killing-national-forests-parks-u-s-forest-service-article-1.990527#ixzz1gNwuzyKm (The moral of the story? Insist that the Mexican cartels only grow the stuff in Mexico!)

Very nice report. Thanks so much. You may have changed the focus of the forum! -
Thanks, Lookin. I actually did wonder on that. Then I went to Amazon, and where Best Buy's cheapest HDMI cable was $24.95, Amazon had one as low as $2.42. I ended up buying their $6.50 one, as well as their Roku which was $10 cheaper than Best Buy. I don't know why they call the place Best Buy.

And with the video you can watch him all you want...in action!

Sorry if Lucky has too many posts today, but this one is too fun not to... Now, I will combine two posts in one. If you didn't get a laugh from that video, this one is quite fun too. Speedo Santas in Boston. Look carefully and you will see some very hot guys: (My thanks to my source, towleroad.com) And this is getting to be like the Lucky reader with a third post: Take a look at 37 photos of semi-naked Santas in San Francisco. Bet there's a gay one! SF Santas

LOL...keep him stress free. BTW, the paper today says that the Ipad3 is coming out in February and is probably worth the wait. I saw the Ipad at Best buy and love it. Someday I will have to stop reading paper books whether I like it or not. And, believe it or not, I got a Best Buy sales person to speak with me and answer a question. Aces, how much HDMI cable does one need for the Roku to get the best stream?

I called today to cancel the cable TV and was shocked to learn that I was paying $107 a month for it. Each cable box added to the bill, and we have 3. So they are coming tomorrow to claim their equipment. Naturally the guy tried to change my mind, and then, when he couldn't, tried to get me to add their landline phone service at only $7 a month.I declined that too. In the course of the call, he repeatedly mixed up which service we were dropping. He would say "internet" when I wanted to drop cable. Whether this was intentional I do not know. Bottom line is that the Roku TV box looks like a good deal if I am going to be saving $107 a month. I'm off to Best Buy to see it, but will probably buy it at Amazon where there is no sales tax. J/K California tax guys!

"You point is interesting?" Yes, I thought it was. Did it only focus on boy places, or did it focus on places that members here have expressed an interest in? Take it as you will. If I missed a country that you are interested in, by all means, speak up and add that information. My statistics were year to date increases in the dollar, and the Mexican peso has lost value. The dollar is up 10.1% in Mexico so far this year. For the record, I went to Mexico last two years ago, and hired no boys. Unless you count a lap dance. And you probably do.

RA1, either you missed my point or I didn't make myself very clear. We, as members of a community forum, can speak in a collective we even though we only intend to express our own opinion. That's because, as a member of the community, we think we know the community temperature. We may not, of course. But in so saying, I am not claiming that I speak for the administration of the site. Just as fans of a sports team often refer to the team as "us" when they have no ownership. "We wiped their butts" is a not uncommon phrase used by sports fans, even though they were never even on the playing field. Did I spell that out clearly enough for you? So hopefully having made it clear from where I speak, I still say that we would clearly not accept a Nazi as a forum participant, at least if he was going to pursue a Nazi agenda. We might try to engage him first, as we do any troll or whiner. We would try to make some accommodation so everyone can participate. But, failing that, you would start to see a decline in participation at the site from those who abhor Nazis. Management might then stand up, if they have not already, and attempt to stem the outflow of participants by reigning in the Nazi. That's my story, RA1, piss on it if you choose. But be careful that it doesn't get moved to the watersports forum. I have no umbrella.

Is there a new poster from Texas? I thought you might be talking about a new RV. But yes, welcome, RGV to the forum. What do you have to say?

Going to Brazil? Good for you. The dollar has risen 9.4% this year against the real, and is currently at its highest exchange in 2011, 1.817 reais to the dollar. Small comfort for those of us who first encountered the real when it was over 3 to the dollar, but you take what you can get. Going to Prague to met Tomcal at the boy bar Escape? The dollar is up 1.7% on the Koruna, which means you get almost 19 of them for your buck. Thailand fans can now escape the flooding and get more baht for their bills. The dollar there is up 4.9%, giving almost 30.9 baht per dollar. I have seen it as low as 22, so this is good. Well, inflation probably accounts for something here too. Euros are holding steady, with no change. The British pound is up on the dollar, but only slightly, at -0.4%. Finally, those going to Montreal for New Year's Eve will see only a paltry rise of 2.2% for their dollars. If you are simply looking for the best results, the dollar is up 15% in India, 14% in Poland, and 19% in Turkey. Your best bet, though, is South Africa, where the dollar rose 22%.
