I can't believe Jeffrey Toobin dropped trow on Zoom.

The other site has jokes mixed in with far more serious comments. A bit annoying, but probably reflects how most people are responding. -

People are far more interested in the newest films on Netflix ( like "The Trial of the Chicago 7") than an excellent lawyer and journalist they barely know. This is apparently a gay obsession only. -
Obama is campaigning tomorrow in Philadelphia for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

A bit boring given that Jeff Toobin is a good guy and first rate politcal writer, but hardly a house hold name until now. I hope he recovers quickly and covers the possibility that Amy Barrett may reverse Trump hoping she will hand him the election -

At least Winchell, Kilgallon, Hedda and the dreaded Louella are not still around. Although perhaps only Walter Winchell would have covered this. -
Trump certainly has ever local supporters which is good reason to be concerned about the outcome of the election.

The Michigan Governor was a kidnapping target and Trump has his fans yell lock her up! Fucking madman

I remember discussing the Electoral College in a high school history senior in 1960-1961. -
Biden is a classy guy.

We will soon know how popular the American Mussolin/Franco is Dope Marylander is a Franco fan although he identities as a liberal

Neither Donald, junior nor Ivanka are taken seriously by anyone but Trump most dedicated fans.

Nice to see Graham and Feinstein huge it out. Still, hope it is her last court nomination as ranking member

Reading the new biography of Mrs. Roosevelt. I remember her as the mystery guest on "What's My Line?" She was an untiring supporter of Adlai Stevenson at three Democratic party National Conventions. Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy and Johnson attended her funeral

Hardly trivia. Nebraska is a deep red state. LBJ ran against Barry Goldwater in 1964. Sasse is a viable presidential candidate in 2024.
-
The last Democratic Party candidate to win Nebraska in the Electoral College? Answer: Lyndon Johnson in 1964
-
Sasse is one of the very few Republican Senators who has consistently criticized Trump.
-
I was pleasantly surprised that Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska was again so critical of Trump very recently. He is all in on Any Barrett.
-
Perhaps the issue is that the Republicans will retaliate in turn. Biden has to win first, I think. Bigjoey is a lawyer, an extremely annoying lawyer. He suppported Kavanugh a few years. I am staying here for a while because I want to.

The Judge talks a good game, and is exceptional smart. Too bad she was nominated by President Trump. We know Trump greatly dislikes the Affordable Care Act and Roe v. Wade. He wouldn't have nominated Judge If she didn't agree with him (,I am bringing it up here because bigjoey thankfully does not post on this site).

Didn't we discuss One Touch of Venus recently. Didn't I mention seeing Venus in New York about 20 years sgo. Paula Laurence from the original cast was there. She said happened to be with Elia Kazan when Mary Martin died in 1990

Let's hope the president survives not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize from Norway. That loss and covid and being very far behind in the polls, what will he do next: try to buy Norway?
-
The president is back in the oval again today. He must be bored after calling Senator Harris a Communist and a monster many times. (Disgusting because Trump can't deal with strong women). Biden and Harris are appearing with Cindy McCain later today in Arizona

Perhaps Pence should have practicied responding within the time he had. It was insulting to the moderator, Susan Page. But, I assume Pence pleased Trump.
-
Instead Trump is planning more rallies and said in an interview with Fox news, he "believes" no longer contagious. What do his doctors believe believe based on science.
-
The president has covid, and likely a very serious case of covid19. Only a few people know when he tested positive, leaving many people concerned (not just the folks at the Any Barrett Supreme Court announcement which was outdoors and indoors). His doctor quotes the president as "feeling great." Good to know
