Tasso called Lyndon Johnson a hater of blacks on the other site, and later wrote he knew little about Johnson.

Please document your accusations. And not from far left or far right sources. I served in the United States military overseas in 1968 and 1969. And you, @tassojunior And I been in Sarajevo and Mostar, Bosnia, where President Clinton and Holbrooke began the brokered Dayton Accords

Neither is Barack Obama. BO was relatively new to Politics in 2008, but he wouldn't have chosen a fascist as vice president.

I searched for a definite statement by Bolton yesterday concerning voting for Biden. There wasn't one.
-
Bolton is not voting for Biden, so what endorsement?

Perhaps not a pleasant subject for me. My brother attended Marian High School in. Massachusetts with Christa McAuliffe and another member of her her family. I shall pass on this thread, please

I am also not spending much money during COVID-19. I am sending money to the Wolf Project at Yellowstone National Park. And Philippines Charity. My brother lives near the Eastern entrance to Yellowstone & has written expensively about wolves and grizzlies.

Trump to Melania on West Point How did I do? M: you are trending # 1 D: Glad they liked my speeches M: No they think you have Parkinson's

I audited history, politcal science and especially literature courses at the University of Pennsylvania while I worked and after retirement. The last audit was four years ago. My experience with young people was very positive. Because I did all the reading, I know/knew several students very well.

I hope the president would wear a mask in public. Very unlikely, I think. Perhaps at Halloween

Senator Scott decided to move to North Carolina when he heard the gay escort and his smear against the great beloved Senator Graham
-
Tim Scott, the Black United States GOP Senator from North Carolina? Interesting comment, my friend. You must eat lunch with Senator Scott occasionally. Me, too.

Even on the worst days in Philadelphia in the last two weeks, I thanked the police and Nation Guard as well as the demonstrators. Something I would not have done in the 1970s when the police were even less under control of the more honored Civic leaders.

Well, Mr. Bolton is speaking up now. The Republicans control the Senate. Unlikely that Rand Paul, Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Tim Scott, Marco Rubio, or even Susan Collins would have voted differently.
-
Early Warren supported Dwight Eisenhower in 1952, not the more conservative Republican candidate, Senator Robert Taft from Ohio.

LBJ helped my friend from India stay here when he was Senate Majority Leader. Johnson introduced a bill naming my friend concerning an American visa. LBJ: I will not bring it up for vote, but you are safe while it is being discussed forever.

You might consider posting more often. Ha

Will it ever stop? Two teens abused by Tulsa Cops for Jaywalking

I am not sure that is true. He will need their votes in November and in years ahead to visit The Trump President Library. Like Lyndon Johnson, Trump will be monitoring the daily attendance at the library. (The "body count"). -
I am surprised also. You seem like a different person here. Engaging and quite charming - at least most of the time.

The Civil Rights Movement lasted far beyond 1968. There were still over 500,00 United States military in Vietnam, many of the grunts were black. Nixon's incursion into Cambodia was largely the responsibility of blacks. The trials of Bobby Seale and others who "disrupted" the 1968 Democratic National Convention took place after 1968. Ask Bobby Seale when the struggle ended. Calling Bobby. Tell us how you were bound and gagged at the trial. Johnson last public appearance (in 1973) was with Civil Rights leadership at the Johnson Presidential Library in Austin. LBJ was obviously very ill & died a few weeks later.

True. But, the most significant events, other than Brown v. Board of Education & a civil act in the late 1950s, took place when Martin Luther King and Lyndon Johnson said "we shall overcome.". Truman desegregated the military. LBJ signed Medicare into law at the Truman Presidential Library in Missouri with Harry and Bess Truman there. Politcal scientists rate LBJ as the best president for minorities, but in second place after Lincoln. As much as I liked Kennedy, I knew in 1964, Johnson was better at dealing with Congress.

No, Senator Sanders could not get elected president. Certainly not after praising Cuba under Castro. He is so used to some Independent politcal figures praising Cuba and Russia, he has lost touch with the average voter. If Sanders couldn't win the Massachusetts primary, where could he win? Biden won without campaigning in Massachusetts

I guess poor Daddy is an exception to keeping one's mouth shut. Not sure why he decided to speak up now. Very strange because he seemed less conservative in the last year or so.

Well, Justice Kavanugh came through for the president as Senator Graham forecast. Bad news for Senator Collins in Maine though. As a result, the Republicans may give up a Senator seat.
