  1. Just saw the touring company this month in Portland. As a former Mormon, I almost wet myself with laughter. There were so many "inside jokes" that I'm sure many people wouldn't get subtle references. Looking forward to seeing the Broadway cast during my NYC tour in April.
  2. Anyone else getting their e-mail address flooded with junk mail from BoyToy Flirt? Curious how they got my e-mail address.
  3. Glad to see the problem resolved. Actually sent an e-mail to Totally Oz when I first encountered the problem. He responded back quickly with an e-mail and explaination. I really appreciate his personal response.
  4. I was pre-occupied with the terrible events in Connecticut. Sorry that took priority over MER / BoyToy or whatever this place is now called.
  5. I live just to the East of this mall. It's also one of the places I go to walk during the rainy season. This unfortunate incident reminded me of a similar shootng when I lived in Utah and a guy opened fire at theTrolley Square mall. But, I definately don't have any mixed feelings about gun control. I own several guns and have a concealed carry permit. IMHO, the government is never going to keep the criminals and crazies from getting their hands on a gun. So, I strongly oppose any effort to keep me from having my own gun and legally carrying it.
  6. Very interesting that you mention churches changing. I'm currently working in Oregon and Washington (just across the river) has legalized gay marriage. I'm surprised at the number of churches that are performing / hosting same-sex weddings. I'm finding the attitudes here much more open towards gays. Inclusion and equality are truly community values here.
  7. This change in policy has been 3+ years in the making. A gay friend, who is also chair of the Democratic party in Utah, has been working with Mormon leaders for the past 3 years on making these changes. The current president of the Mormon Church, Tom Monson, has been family friend for years. Personally, he's always treated me with respect and I don't consider him anti-gay. But, many of the 12 Apostles don't share his views on inclusion. Tom's in a very difficult position. But, I do view this as a big step in the right direction. I remember when my parents were told by one of the 12 Apostles to cut off communication and turn their backs on me because I was gay. IMHO, this is major change in stance for Mormons. I personally don't believe change will ever happen quickly with this organization. But, small changes like this signal they are starting to move in the right direction.
  8. Not real exicted about the change and wished it had never been made. Totaly thumbs down for me.
  9. Well, since there are Log Cabin Repubicans, I don't think that means much.
  10. DITTO!!!!!!Why should this be posted here?????? Is it time to find a new place to visit?

    some advice

Do you really want to sit on the can every time you need to take a leak?!?!?! I vote for keeping the dick - just for convenience (if for no other reason).
  12. The first time I started "thinking" I was attracted to men was when I was about 8 years old. My father coached a teenage basketball team. During one of the practices, I had to use the restroom and saw one of the players in the shower. He had a hard--on and was jacking off. I couldn't take my eyes off of him and was totally amazed his size. My first sexual experience was at the age of 12 with my best friend. I wasn't until I was 24 years old that I fully understood and accepted my gay self. There's been no regrets since then.
  13. I was lucky enough to snag tickets to one of his Christmas tours about 4 years ago. I was amazed at his ability to perform and the quality of his voice. And, he was on stage for at least 80% of the concert. He was an amazing talent and very easy on the eyes.
  14. Is this the remake of Hairspray???

    a question!

To answer your original question (without speculation), that's exactly what I would do. I believe the FDIC limit is $250K per ACCOUNT (not sure that it means BANK). But, just to be on the safe side, I would probably put only $200K in different banks. Other suggestions are great. But, it's not a move I would make immediately. If I came into a large amount of money, I'd split it between different banks until I got a long-term plan in place.
  16. Congrats on the win!! I live in fear of receiving one of those packages.
  17. A Portland artist, Thomas Lauderdale (of Pink Martini), recorded what I believe is Phyllis Diller's last recording. He was at her home in January 2012 and accompanied her while she sang "Smile". This is a wonderful memory of her and a great tribute.
  18. Actually, this photo is from his college days and was cropped to delete the college logos. This is another example of the media manipulating stuff and trying to pass it off as current reality. It's getting to the point that I trust the media less and less.
  19. Am I the only one that found the subject line of "Boytoy" a bit offensive??? Considering where this site appears to be going, I really don't appreciate the linkage of Anderson Cooper to "boytoy". Even for you, Lucky, this is a disappointment.
  20. My thoughts exactly. I seriously doubt they'll have anything that will hold my interest. And, please, don't let Paul McCartney sing again.
  21. My condo is all electric and does NOT have AC. I'm paying less than $50 per month and that includes the cost of room fans to circulate the air. There are probably only 6 or less nights per year when I actually wish I had AC. Most of the time I'm very comfortable with the room fans.
  22. I was lucky enough to see him in concert a few years ago. Totally entertaining and brilliant. This is a big loss for the entertainment community.
  23. I hear what he's saying but I don't believe it.
  24. Buster and Billy was a turning point in my gay life. I was active duty military and on a nuclear sub. They showned that movie on the sub and I almost creamed myself looking at him. I knew, after seeing him, that I was attracted to men.
  25. I lost 130 lbs by cutting out all carbs, alcohol, and sugar. Basically went on a high protein diet. Have kept off that weight for about 18 months. Also increased my exercise by hiking, biking, and swimming.
