I remember my mom using a pressure cooker during canning season when I was younger. I don't remember her ever "cooking" with it though. I believe it is still in the basement but I have never used it. I agree that they must be used correctly for safety reasons. Best of luck and let us know how it turns out.

Char Grilled Wild Salmon with Apple Avocado Pico De Gallo
flguy replied to TotallyOz's topic in Health, Nutrition and Fitness
I'm not a huge fan of fresh salmon but this recipe is on tap for the weekend. The combination of sweet and tangy sounds perfect. Have you tried all the recipes you are posting? Thanks and keep up furnishing me with menus so I don't have to do the work. -
Ryan is doing extremely well and has a regular job and is very happy. It was time for him to move on and he has done so. I am in contact with him every couple of days and his new life suits him well.

TY and OZ, This happened I believe when Blake Andrews first posted his profile and was fixed but has happened again. When I look for his profile by city it is not to be found. His home city is Hendersonville North Carolina but he does not show up anywhere in North Carolina. Can this be fixed so people searching can find his profile? Thanks

I think it is truly sad that such a wonderful event has sunk to these depths, but I guess that was expected when human emotions are involved. I am well aware of the animosity between Daddy and Lucky and Lucky’s move to this board last year after apparently being banned by Daddy at the other site. I also understand from what Lucky has said that HE was the original organizer of this event but over the years there has been an expansion of hosts beyond Lucky. Since this event encompassed two different message boards with plenty of hard feelings between posters I was wondering when this turn of events would occur. From all indications EVERYONE got along and behaved like human beings during the event. It was only afterward that things went on the downslide. Both Oz and Daddy were in attendance and NEITHER has said a single disparaging word about each other or either site. Below I have entered the links for the open invitation from both boards for this event. There appears to be a bit of difference how the invite was interpreted by the members at large and the hosts. It appears to be an open invitation and then changed a bit on MER to be for “Regular” posters only. That caveat did not seem to appear in the invitation on Daddy’s. However OZ, to a greater extent, and Daddy both post on their respective sites. When you are inviting people from two different message boards that tend to have allegiance to one site or the other there are going to be some logistical problems. THESE should have been worked out, if they really were problems, between the hosts of the event so all were on the same page. I also feel those thanking OZ and Daddy were NOT thanking them for organizing the event, but for having two websites that allow clients to make intelligent decisions and for escorts to showcase themselves if they choose. The sites also allow for like minded individuals to have a commonality with other like minded posters and to discuss (not always like adults) their likes, dislikes and interact about the hobby so many enjoy. While everyone seemed on their best behavior at the event it is now quite plain that the daggers have come out when in all reality they would have been much better to let it go and have whatever pleasant memories they got from going to Palm Springs. Can’t people be adults and keep differences between themselves as THEIR personal matter and not as fodder for these boards. We can’t all love each other, however we certainly can all respect each other and if you aren’t happy with how things went you have two choices. 1. Don’t be involved next year as a host, client, escort or uninvited guest. 2. If everyone actually isn’t welcome then change the format of the invitation. I have absolutely NO DOG IN THIS FIGHT, I didn’t go, didn’t consider going and usually stay pretty quiet on both boards. However this has gone to a level that is disrespectful and childish and shows the true colors of many posters. If you don’t like someone enough that it is disdainful to be around them, then just don’t go. http://www.maleescortreview.com/forum/index.php?/topic/5855-annual-palm-springs-weekend-2011/page__p__31446__hl__palm+springs__fromsearch__1#entry31446 http://www.message-forum.net/showthread.php?77856-Annual-Palm-Springs-Weekend-2011&highlight=palm+springs

I know that we get very few guys posting their travel here but of the 5 posted travel locations by Michael Vincenzo and Blake Andrews 4 of them are past their sale date. Do these have to be deleted by hand? I think if we are to encourage more escorts to post here the forum should at least be up to date. Thanks TY and OZ

Morning All, In response to Zippers comment I can say I have know Dane since he started last year and we have established a relationship both as client and friend. I have watched him progress in his career and have talked many times about business and I am glad he considers me a mentor from a client standpoint. When he first started he had never even heard of MER or Daddy's or the positive side of participating in the forums or establishing reviews.(or in this case the downside of trying to be himself) I was his first reviewer on all the sites and I have also taken all his photos. I am not a professional by any means but his originals were the typical IPhone photos. I am also the person who convinced him to make "Profile Signatures" to appear on all posts and emails to make it easier for clients to find his pertinent information I can ABSOLUTELY say of all the escorts I have met in the past 10 years he is the MOST down to earth, honest, compassionate and caring guy I have ever met. If you view his posts at the other site you would see they are NOT self promoting but from the heart. And I guess in anyone providing a service there has to be some promotion and advertising to sell you product. Anyone not considering meeting with Dane is really missing the boat for a high quality guy. As a side note, he has done a photo shoot with a professional photographer while in Palm Springs, and I look forward to the results. Thanks for those responding to this thread in his support, especially those that have actually met him. Thanks Dane for the unparalleled service you provide, it is unequaled by very few.

I am just curious how everyone is doing now that we are a couple months past the holidays. With the passing of my mother and some other stressful things in my life I took about 7-8 weeks off from my diet. I only took 2 weeks or so off from the gym and luckily I only gained 2 pounds from my lowest weight. Last week I started back and added 3 days of cardio into the mix which I enjoy much more than the lifting at the gym. So hopefully I am back on track, or at least more or less. 15 pounds to my first goal and then we will go from there to see if my second goal is achievable. Come on guys, let us know how you are doing.

TY and OZ, I am trying to post a new review for Blake Andrews and his profile is NOT linked to North Carolina. The new "load profile" is fantastic and after loading it shows he is in Hendersonville NC but the zip code is wrong. Maybe that is the problem. I couldn't change it so I am looking to you for guideance. Thanks FLGUY

GREAT new feature, you guys are always steps ahead of everyone else. THANKS

Just curious how everyone who is dieting did over the holidays? I worked very hard on diet and gym last week prior to the weekend. I never actually went wild, considering there were 30 dozen cookies out on the porch, and enjoyed whatever I wanted for the weekend. This morning was weekly weigh in and I actually lost 3 pounds so couldn't be happier. So how did everyone else do???
-
WOW, thanks TY and OZ this will speed the process greatly. My just published review would have been done in an instant. Great Job

I've now lost a bale of hay and there are very positive changes I see. For a couple of years I thought I had knee problems and could only go down stairs by holding onto the hand rail. Now I can do stairs without holding on so the knee problems were only a case of fatassitis. Since it is 11 degrees this morning in the mountains I can tell I have lost insulation and feel the cold much easier now. And best of all I just plain feel better and of course clothes that were not even in my master bedroom closet but in the basement are now fitting. It's all worth the suffering I had to go through to feel better and is the carrot to dangle out front to keep going.
-
An elephants heart for me. I hope to be to the 5000 btu A/C by Christmas.
-
Lucky, just keep it up and don't let any minor setback stop your overall progress. I am now fitting into clothes that I haven't even seen in over 5 years. I am down about 45 pounds and have 25 more to go to make my first goal. Just keep at it and do if for yourself and no one else. You have to want it yourself to make any diet work. I can't believe how much better I feel and what I thought were bad knees turns out to be fat ass syndrome. I can now go up and down stairs without holding the hand rail. Just keep going, it will come off.

Texturized Vegetable Protein (TVP)
flguy replied to OneFinger's topic in Health, Nutrition and Fitness
One Finger......one thing I read about on the Rapid Fat Loss message board is people talked about some loss of appetite after being on the program for a while. I thought yeh right, never going to happen. However about after week 3 it happened, I don't think about food all the time and some meals are actually a challange to eat all the protein. I have been in Florida for the past week and heading home today, wasn't very good while I was here and took the week off from the gym. When I get home and step on the scale will tell the tale, but I know tomorrow morning I will be back on the program once again. -

One Finger, I think it's great there are a group of you doing the diet. It's always easier with support of others in losing weight. I have finished 3 months on my diet using the "Rapid Fat Loss" diet by Lyle McDonald. http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/the-rapid-fat-loss-handbook I am down over 40 pounds and follow the diet "within" reason, meaning I don't follow it exactly but follow it to where I don't feel deprived and miserable all the time because I am dieting. I have been religious about breakfast and lunch and just don't cheat for those two meals. I think back and look at how many lunches out during the week I used to do and know if I do nothing else but eliminate cheating at these two meals I will lose weight. This diet does require you to do SIMPLE weight lifting, at home or in gym, 2-3 times a week to reduce lean body mass losses and increase the chances that the weight you are losing is fat. Just hang in there and keep plodding along, and DON'T heap guilt on youself when you have a meltdown and go crazy some night. Just get back to the diet and in 2 days you will be losing again. You have to have some fun or the diet will never work. And as everyone says, it's not a diet, it a change in life habits. I hope THIS time I will learn this lesson when I reach my goals. -

FA and OZ, I am right with you on trying to lose weight and change my eating habits. I have been on a program for a little over 10 weeks now and am currently on a week long diet break at maintenance levels. My first goal is 70 pounds and I am over half way there. I have a secondary goal however I would be happy just to be under 200 and stay there for the rest of my life. The good thing about diets, if you stick out the first couple of weeks and start to see real results you will tend to keep going. Just don't give up too early. I still have my cocktail before dinner, decided it just wasn't worth giving everything up and helps me to not see this as a diet, just a change. Best of luck.

FA My current diet consists of mostly protein and veggies with very few carbs except for two free meals a week. My grocery list is pretty simple mostly individual marinated chicken breast, shrimp and scallops, some pork tenderloin and cod loins. Then veggies for salad with low fat dressings, and veggies for steaming in microwave and in stir fries. One most important thing for me is Crisco Canola Spray, no need for liquid oil, you can cook anything with the spray. I go through lots of regular egg beaters, no fat, virtually no carbs for omlettes almost every morning. I also always have protein powder on hand, Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 in chocolate and vanilla from GNC which I mix with water and they actually taste great. Try keeping the bad things OUT of the pantry because if they aren't there, when a craving hits you can act on it. Best of luck

Zipper, I think in the long run Weight Watchers is really the ONLY sensible and true diet to follow for lifetime. It concentrates and reducing quantities without cutting anything completely out of your diet. The only reason I don't use it is for me it is just too much cooking when you live alone. Congrats on keeping the weight off and I hope for the 10th time in my life if I lose the weight I will be able to keep the life long changes to my eating habits and stay where I want to be weight wise.

I posted in the MER site and comments section back in August asking for a seperate photo gallery section. I also LOVE to look at the pictures and find it no problem to go to a seperate forum where you can view till your hearts content. Also I agree with many that the picture posts push down the viable commentable threads that are started in the main forum.People just are real good and looking through a whole page of threads to find one they may not have viewed. I tend to know when I was online last and look for threads that have responses since the last time online. Just my two cents, however I had voiced them before. Thanks to TY and OZ for offering a site with some civil conversation and on that is willing to take the posters thoughts and requests into consideration.
