  3. thanks for posting this, Lucky. He's a wonderful talent and a joy to watch sing!
  4. Nice list! Here's a few extra: 1) Twinks are Cute 2) Blond twinks are really cute 3) It's fun to have a twink move into your house!
  5. hmmm. indescribable really. imagine a talkative, slightly intoxicated Woody Allen... closest description I can come up with. It's just awesome to hear philosophical pearl after pearl come out of him mouth as we oggle over the same cute young thing on the dance floor!
  6. I second this welcome!
  7. Having met and spent time with AdamSmith in the club scene of New York... I can tell you that no amount of reading/reviewing his posts can prepare you for the intriguing and unparalleled experience of hanging with the man in person. Adam... we all miss you! Wishing you the best in finding what fulfills your love life!
  8. for better or worse: 1) It's the holiday season ---> dinner or parties every single night 2) Long hours at the office closing out year end responsibilities 3) Out of town guests began arriving about a week ago Bottom line, my computer time is down to about 20% of usual during this time of year... time to read but little time to post.
  9. Oh one last point.... The reason why NYC is a great vacation destination site is that you are visiting and you will leave! But for a short moment in time, you are living amongst all these other people who are there for this reason and living this life: http://thoughtcatalog.com/2010/how-to-live-in-new-york-city/#.Tuo3KsQS_8E.facebook
  10. While I agree with you that both Spider Man (especially) and Lion King are not interesting to me... there are plenty to choose from even in the 21st century. Besides the classics that are still running such as Wicked, Phantom, Mamma Mia, Jersey Boys, Billy Elliot, and Priscilla queen of the desert (ok not a classic but McArthur Park is melting in the dark...) There are some very interesting new shows: 1) Book of Mormon 2) How to Succeed in Business (had that Harry Potter kid for a while) 3) Hugh Jackman Back on Broadway (if you like the masculine look) And some fantastic revivals: 1) Godspell (from my high school days) but NOW starring Hunter Parrish and Telly Leung (double yummm) 2) Evita (Ricky Martin as Che) Can't imagine there aren't 3 shows out of that lot to satisfy any gay musical goers taste buds!
  11. NYC is an awesome vacation destination for gays. I always try to make a stop there when on the East Coast 1) Broadway 2) One gay club per block (lol slight exaggeration) 3) Broadway 4) 9 million subscribers to GRINDER (lol slight exaggeration) 5) Broadway 6) 1 million aspiring actors/models who serve you food at great restaurants or sell you clothes at great stores (lol slight exaggeration) 7) Broadway 8) And as BiBottom mentions above... an endless supply (millions... NOT an exaggeration) of other gay men many of whom are attractive, horny, and available. 9) And did I mention there is musical theater on Broadway?
  12. AWESOME! I love Rock and Roll....
  13. yes thank goodness she won't be the next POTUS!
  14. Pretty much all the bars that I have gone to that have strippers or gogo boys in their underwear allow 18+ to work there. I am referring to in the US. In Montreal and most places in Europe, they can strip, drink, whatever at 18. It's interesting that in the US you can be 18 to strip but have to be 21 as a customer to enter/drink at many of these places. And yes, I would put $5's, $10's, even $20's into the underwear of any stripper who looked like Chord Overstreet!
  15. That I don't know. The young generation in the village tells me that they have some connection to Campus (or had at least) but I have no idea if that's true or not. They definitely do not own Stock, JP's, and Taboo...
  16. not enough information provided in the article to know. if there some kind of legitimate security risk, then yes. if it was strictly profiling, then no. the timing is interesting. they passed through TSA security and the pilot had them removed....
  17. In general, Montreal has a low violent crime rate and I feel very safe in nearly all parts of the city. But there always has been (as in pretty much every big city) an organized crime presence there. In the village, there will be periodic biker violence as most of the drug trade and some of the sex trade is rumored to be controlled by these gangs. Sounds like this guy was a powerful guy in the underworld in the US, but it just goes to show that no one is THAT powerful when they are taken out of their own element.
  18. LOL. I love the way you cut to the chase!
  19. I completely agree with Lucky's assessment. It would definitely not be as much fun to fuck twinks if I weren't gay!

( Young at heart! ) And if you should survive, To a hundred an' five, Look at all you'll derive Outta bein' alive! And here is the best part, You have a head start . . . If you are among, The very young at heart!
  21. Haha. thanks but only in my dreams! I don't consider myself ugly... but I am also definitely not going to be cast in any visual media anytime soon. What I think I am is confident, real, kind, sincere, and straightforward. That doesn't win all of them over. But you'ld be surprised how many very beautiful young people take that over good looks for someone to hang with, and even shag with. Remember the beautiful ones have been with everyone and anyone that they want, and have seen the best and WORST of humanity. Sometimes they are looking for exactly what a decent hearted, secure, wiser older person has to offer.
  22. In Lucky's Theater thread, he commented to me that he admired my forwardness in cold-asking a cute salesboy to attend a show. It turned out fantastic that time, but I can't tell you how many times I have tried that and gotten rejected. That reminded me of one analogy to approach to life... Stanford has an Entrepreneur School (surprise, surprise) where their curriculum is designed to foster innovation and obviously entrepreneurship. One of the basic assumptions of their teachings is that every human being has a built in failure ratio. That is, for every, say, 10 attempts they make at getting something to succeed, only one will. This is different from person to person, as everyone has different abilities, different levels of charisma, different "luck", etc etc. The point is, that if your ratio is 1/5, you would need to fail 4 times to get one success. They teach young people never to be afraid to fail on your road to your one big hit. Assuming you believe there is some truth to that tenet, I wonder if we all have a built in failure ratio for getting dates. So if mine is 1/20, say, I wonder if I have to ask and get rejected from 19 people before I get my date with the one cutie of my dreams. Who knows if this is really true or not, but it sure makes it easier to withstand the painful "no thank you" on the date request if you figure it's just an obligation to go through on your way to the big night!
  23. I agree Lurker would love Broadway, and that good shows are perfectly fine to be attending alone. It's actually really nice sometimes to be alone with your deepest emotions the midst of powerful theater. I understand about Lurker not being in NYC, but I was just commenting how I don't think it's purely a generational thing because in NYC, there are still plenty of youth who love theater. In fact, one of my most memorable nights was when I got stood up at the last minute by my date for a Mamma Mia on Broadway, while walking along 5th Avenue. I walked into Abercrombie, found the cutest salesboy I could find, bought a shirt from him, and asked him if he would be done with work in time to come with me to Mamma Mia! He was ecstatic and in fact came along. Ok he was straight so it ended with the curtain call, but I had a great night with a gorgeous Abercrombie boy, and a memory to keep and a story to tell for the rest of my life.
  24. This may be more of a geographic issue than a generational one. Also maybe an advertising venue issue (CL may not be the ideal place to find company for musical theater). I have never had trouble getting young people in NY or LA to attend theater with me. I think those of the young generation who love performing arts tend to gravitate towards these cities so you have a much bigger pool of opportunity to pull from. And usually how I meet them is chat them up at clubs, find out that they love Wicked, and then invite them to a show. I'd say it's close to a 50% success rate, which is pretty damn good. If you prefer to stay online only, Facebook works better because there's some opportunity to establish common ground. Typically friends of friends, a few back and forth messages, and then invitation. Works less often than in person, but definitely not zero.
