  1. the URL for the pics did not allow direct linking for whatever reason (either this site's software and that particular URL or NEXT somehow blocks it). So I put the pics in photobucket to link them, and they came out smaller. If you want to see the full size pics, please click the link provided on the post directly to the portfolio on the NFXT website.
  2. Ok... it's been a little tense today... So here's Canadian NEXT model Francois to brighten everyone's day. And yes, this is THE Francois. And yes, he looks even better in person. And yes, I still plan to marry him if the Vincents don't work out! http://www.nextmodels.ca/en/model.asp?ID=359 http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l210/mar...th_3bb4f6c7.jpg http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l210/mar...th_90cbd1b6.jpg http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l210/mar...th_7f556119.jpg http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l210/mar...th_528eeaf4.jpg http://s97.photobucket.com/albums/l210/mar...th_c8cbd25a.jpg
  3. >Taylor was looking to stir up a hornet's nest, then run away >laughing as he did at escort speak. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Just as your statement above is fair game because it speculates on the motivation of a poster, IMO Taylor asked a question that referred to the behavior of another poster. And I am not sure about your analogy, as you told me that my reasoning would have more weight if TBL28 posted here, but you used an example of someone who walked into a bar and was insulted. We may have to agree to disagree, but just as I endorse your right to ask whether it was Taylor's intent to stir up trouble (because it questions the motivation behind his actions), I endorse his right to ask if someone's posts are real or deliberately inflammatory.
  4. >Taylor's post is a personal attack, somethiing not allowed >here, and it's even on someone who doesn't post here. All the >more reason not to allow it. > Lucky: I guess where we differ is that I don't see Taylor's post a personal attack (see my post below). Writing something negative about someone's behavior does not constitute a personal attack, IMO. In fact, it's the premise of the site... review of escort behavior. Saying an escort is a bastard and shithead is not appropriate. Saying he uses fake pictures and misprepresents what he'll do is a review, not a personal attck. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. I think if we can call into question the behavior of escorts, we can do so to posters/clients as well... provided it's limited to comments on actions. In this case, I read the OP as asking if the person in question posts to get a rise out of people or if his opinions are truly that outrageous. That's fair, IMO... and if I misread his question or his intent, then I defer to your opinion. But that's how I read it.
  5. Hmm... I guess I didn't find anything wrong with Taylor's post when I read it... and after seeing all of the hub bub about it, I read it again... he wrote: "a poster on the old hooboy message center (twinkboylover28)...seems to be just a little nutty. for those of y'all that have read his rantings of late ...what do ya think,is he for real???" Am I missing something? Still not sure what is inappropriate about it. The big question about this poster is truly whether he is real or not. Many of his posts are outrageous enough that a lot of people speculate whether they are just intended to be inflammatory and don't really reflect a true opinion. In reading Taylor's post, isn't this what he's asking? I didn't asnwer his question because it didn't matter to me one it is... I'd prefer not interact with either version of the truth. People discuss controversial posters all the time (consider the long multiple threads about Rockhard on this site), and so long as it's a speculation about their motives for behavior and not a name calling session, though it's really not my preferential interest to start or participate much in something like that, in my opinion it's fair game.
  6. shhhhhh.... if you talk too loud, he might come here!
  7. >It has all the smells and makings of a "Vincent" >trojan horse if you ask me :-) That's a trojan horse that could infiltrate my computer anyday! Or is it me that wants to inflitrate him... err, I mean it! :7
  8. >Just a suggestion. I don't believe you guys need to re-boot >your computers. If you log out of MER and close all browser >windows then open a new window and log back in at the home >page all should be good. I hope Hey Aces: the time this happened to me, I tried just closing all my browsers, and the same thing happened. I didn't try clearing the cache, though... so can't comment on that. But after I rebooted and logged on from the home page, I was fine. I might add that this was an isolated incident. Because today, I logged on from this page when I decided to respond to your post, and I can see all the pictures in big images just fine. It's very strange... but it appears to be occasional. ??
  9. Twinklover: I had that problem once before and I discovered two things.... 1) You need to log in on the home page (not on subsequent pages) to make sure this doesn't happen. 2) Once it does happen, you need to reboot to make it stop happening. Not sure why it happens... but I had the exact same experience, and this solution has fixed the problem permanently (so far) for me.
  10. >I have a challenge for every poster on this site. I challenge >you, especially those who dislike "over there" the >most, to go one month without making a single reference to any >aspect of "over there" on this site. This site >needs to move on into its own and the discussions of >"over there" detract from it immensely. > Everyone has a different opinion I guess as to what constitutes adult behavior. You maintain that discussions here about the other site don't fall in that realm. I disagree. My point was rationally stated. It was backed up with evidence. It focused on an issue and not on a personality. And then it made a value judgement. That's the premise of an "adult discussion" in my book. I chose to post it here because this is the only site related to escort reviews that I post on. That's my choice, and people here choose or don't choose to get involved in the discussion if they find it intriguing or stimulating. I see nothing arrogant, childish, or inappropriate about that. And in keeping with my attempt to keep discussions at a high level, I will not be paying any attention to anyone's challenge about whether or not I can keep my mouth shut, hold my breath, or stand on my head for any length of time. I enjoy coming to this site. I enjoy posting about matters that interest me and getting feedback from others who care about the topic. And so that's what I'll do. And I don't think that's arrogant at all. I think that's the point of a message board.
  11. Today a review went up of Harlow. He has 12 reviews, 7 of which are still available, and 5 are archived. Of the 7 that are available , 4 are from 1st time reviewers. The other three are from a person named "Lexusman" who reviewed Harlow as a 1st time reviewer in 1/06, then reviewed him as a second time reviewer in 2/06, and then again in 4/06. It's interesting they posted a reivew by the same reviewer in 3 of 4 consecutive months. I guess one could argue that it's up to the reader to make his own judgements... I just feel like for all the words that are printed on the page, the only thing I know about Harlow is that the pic he uses is cute. Really can't trust if he looks like the pic, does what he advertises, or if he exists. After 12 reviews on a review site, that seems a bit odd.
  12. > >Well I'm getting ready to go to Montreal tomorrow, so that is >my excuse. DAMMIT!!!! Please say "Hi" to Vincent for me. And if you don't know who that is, just stand in the middle of St. Catherine St. and yell out the name. A few boys will stop and come over... and I'll bet good money most of them will be cute.
  13. > Why else have there been no other >posts today? Well I am currently NOT in Montreal, so I have nothing to say! And where is YULville? Can I go there? :+ :+
  14. Ky: It truly was a sad day. My thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims.

    >I don't even remotely consider your "preferences" >offensive, as once again, whatever rocks your boat! Repeat, >look in the mirror to find just why you are so upset at others >innocous observations? >Who is "deriding" you??? Certainly isn't me! > SouthernMan: I apologize. You wrote: "As far as twink escorts, yawn!!, as most of them, in my experiences have just been totally tweaked out bottoms, and the very few that are tops?, well calling them boring would be an accolade. Can't find them on Rentboy, then have you tried the NAMBLA site (I hear that there is a brand new review site for their members)? Where are they?? I don't know, maybe their priests told them to say 100 Hail Marys and go back to their 9th grade algebra class?? What? they're out of high school??, Okay, I guess some people just like that junior high school boy look in men??? Whatever rocks the old boat. " I mistakenly mistook those straightforward observations as derision. Since they are not, I guess I needn't have responded.

    >MA I know that your post was directed at SM but well thought >I'd throw my half cent worth into the pot. From what I get >from his post about twinks well at least part of it is why >would a grown adult man would have such an attraction to >someone who looks like they might still be in the 9th grade? Fair question, Greg. But my definition of twink is not "someone who looks like he is in the 9th grade." I just want to make it clear that no one is talking about pedophilia here. We are talking about attractions to college age guys. Twink: smooth, slim, youthful. Twink escorts that attract me currently: Andre from Raleigh (Adam Smith's future husband) , Justin Masters LA, Jonathan (Fort Lauderdale), and Trey Thurston (NC). None of them look anything like a 9th grader. When I go to Montreal, many of the college boys there that I meet in dance clubs don't even think twice about hanging out with me (a guy 20 years their senior). Many of them are genuinely attracted (I know this for a fact because no money ever changes hands). I know I am attracted to them. Is that wrong? I know it doesn't happen much in the US, but maybe their culture has it right. I know I like it better. So just as you may ask a question ... why would a grown adult man have such an attraction to someone significantly younger than they are ... 150 million Americans ask the question why would a grown man have an attraction to another man. And hence "our" (gay) problem. I am just saying... deliver what you expect. If you want your differences tolerated, tolerate the differences in others.
  17. >I would have no problem with you raising those issues. Actually, Conway, not that my opinion is worth more than anyone elses... but I thought you conducted yourself like a true gentleman in this thread (with the exception of your opening post of course, which you gentlemanly clarified and apologized for the tone). I was going to chime in a bit too, but then I read that TY wanted all of us to move on, and given that I know he has sacrificed a couple of trips to MOntreal to keep this board going, I am certainly not going to be the one to ignore his request! But I agree with some of what you say, and disagree with some of what you say, but I totally respect the way you said it.

What? they're out of high school??, Okay, I guess some >people just like that junior high school boy look in men??? >Whatever rocks the old boat. :7 I've always been intrigued that so many gay people feel the need to disparage the tastes and preferences of other gay people. It's fascinating. I assume that if you truly are a "Southern Man" and grew up in the South, that it wasn't/isn't easy being gay. Just curious... are you totally out to your community, family, friends? If not, why not? If so, have you always been, or was it a struggle to decide to do so? I can understand gay people might resent other gay people who bring negative attention to the group as a class due to their actions (e.g. pedophiles), but so gleefully criticizing the legal tastes and preferences of other gays seems contrary to best interest. As a group, gays are still legally and socially second class simply because a majority considers their taste and preference offensive. Maybe it's all part of the same syndrome that abused children abuse their own children. Or that hazed pledges haze the next generation. For me, I am still hoping that in my lifetime, I will see a generation grow up where a child really has no legal or social stigma growing up just because his/her sexual preference is different than the loudest voice. I just worry that this will be difficult if we are too busy deriding each other.
  19. >I have noticed something strange over at the other >place.All-or a very large percentage-of the review put up in >the last 2 weeks are positive. Actually... what has really been interesting to me has been the sudden jump in "first time reveiwer" reviews. Now I know that everyone has to be a first time reviewer at some point in their life... and so everyone will have at least one first time review. But there are some puzzling things about this trend. First, as TBL notes above, almost all of these reviews are positive. So you would think after a positive experience, people would hire another escort. But honestly, maybe I am not looking hard enough, but I have tried to search for second reviews by all these recent first time reviewers, and I can't find any. Someone help me out. Are there any that have written a second review recently? Second, there are a substantial number of first time reviewers who are writing the first review for an escort. That's odd, because the site is a review site. So there is a selection of people who go there who would pick an escort based on what a previous review has said. That just seems a bit odd that so many 1st escort reviews are by first time reviewers. That's not intuitive, as most newbie hirers who go to an escort review site would hire a reviewed escort.. or at least you would think that's why they chose to begin their hiring career by going to that site. Anyway... interesting discussion. Food for thought. In all circumstances, people have to judge for themselves the credibility of a particular review. But I have said this over and over, and I really do mean it, I am thankful that TY and OZ help us along at this site with some careful screening action.

Rentboy has always been and >seems to keep being a site that mostly caters towards muscular >escorts. > Thanks for that perspective, Jesse. It's always good to hear what personal experiences escorts can share. Like I said in my post, I know that twink escorts have never been really overflowing on rentboy... but my observation was also that they are getting more scarce everywhere. I can only say to that... I hope I am wrong, and if I am not wrong, I hope it's temporary!

    > >The past year I have been doing a fair amount of travelling >within the states. Ive had some great experiences with >Craigslist. Actually I have found some pretty decent success here as well. In fact, when I went to Vegas recently, I was pretty certain that I wasn't going to hire anyone because I really didn't see any quality twink escorts in the city. Then one night, I looked through CL and found a very cute 19 yo twink bottom visiting from Idaho, looking to make a few extra bucks. It was a HIGH quality time with a really cute young guy, and it probably saved me big bucks by keeping me off the tables!

Hey Aces: Thanks for pointing out the contest... I wasn't aware there was one. Lots of hot guys... but one thing that I did notice was the obvious dearth of twinks. Now I know that rentboy has never been that popular with the younger set, but I have just generally noticed a decline in the number of twink escorts.... unless I am missing them somewhere. Guess I should just count my blessings that I have found Montreal, where it appears that lots of very gorgeous twinks seem geniunely fond of older guys (and by older guys, I don't just mean dead Presidents... or prime ministers as the case may be up there)! lol
  23. There's a lot of wisdom in this post... and I agree with most of it. In fact, you really had me nodding my head until you made the statement, "Over the years my mind has started entering the equation more and more." LOL... that one just managed to raise my eyebrow! It's been said in many ways... but regrets are more often for things NOT done, than things done. Thanks for reminding us of that. Now speaking of leading with my heart... I better make my next plane ticket to a starry starry night in Montreal. "And I could have told you Vincent, this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you!"
  24. I want to know if the boy's name is Vincent. AdamSmith wants to know if his name is Andre. We all have our obsessions in our quest to find love. I really hope you find yours, my friend! Maybe this is the one. And if not, maybe it will be the next one. :-)
  25. That's how I conceive the heart of the >mission here, and what I laud (note the absence of doug69 >saying "suck up to") site management for working to >preserve, protect and defend. Adam: In all seriousness, I agree with you entirely. I know both ADMINS personlaly, and I know what their vision is. It's a good concept, like you have so nicely stated, and that's why I supported this site with my daily visits even when it used to be just me and the two ADMINS! haha But it's REALLY good now with guys like you around too. Sharing things that have made you happy is one of the purest joys of life.
