We have been having this discussion in the very bottom forum about suggestions and problems, but the problem is so widespread, I thought I would post this here too. Tampa Yankee suggested that the problem withnot being able to post under one's own registered name could be a bad cookie problem. I was not willing to delete my cookies to find out, thus erasing all my passwords, usernames, etc. Lookin was kind enough to point out that all the browsers have different ways that you can delete specific cookies to a particular site. I deleted the MER cookies and the problem was solved. For specific instructions for Internet Explorer or Mac Safari, see the instructions in that forum from Lookin and from me.
-
And btw...I did this with Internet Explorer: Tools: Internet Options: General: Settings: View files: then select and delete individual cookies.
-
Haha... thanks, Lookin. I did what you suggested and only deleted the MER cookies and I am back in business! Thanks

>I have been dating a guy that is 12 years older than I am for >over 5 weeks now. WTF??? Ok... I guess your story (which still has me reeling...) tells us all that "age appropriate" means... you love him, and he loves you.

>The problem that I had with this thread, that prompted my >thread here was the fact that both "Alanalt" and >"Tommygunzz" were active posters in the Athan >thread. They were both ALSO active posters in the Lynden >Thomas/Jason Rylee death threads, yet NEVER suggested to >Tristian that he might have his facts wrong. They allowed the >story to build for members and lurkers. And, it wasn't until >24 hours after the thread was started that anyone chimed in to >counter the facts. > >It’s a sad day for the world, when it’s deej who chimes in as >the voice of reason. > Fair enough. I can understand your outrage. The reports of one's death, when greatly exaggerated (as penned by the incomparable Mark Twain), are indeed tasteless.

This thread drove me to read that one... and in all fairness, it was really only one poster who started that rumor (I am biting my tongue hard on making a comment on that poster), and he was promptly slammed to the ground for doing so. I saw Athan a couple of times for extended dates a few years ago... very wonderful person!

Beetwo: Like you, many of my hires are travel dates. I have arranged tons of these (I am almost embarrassed to say how many... lol). Over the course of those, I have had 3 no shows. So, yes there is risk. Yours is 4/25... which isn't horrible... but obviously not great either. The bad thing is that they are all in a row. Probably easier to tolerate if they had been spread out over time. Go to chinatown, hire a dancing lion, and get rid of those evil spirits. Seriously... if you really enjoy what you're doing. Don't get discouraged. In my opinion, the positive experiences are more rewarding than the negative experiences are bothersome (except for those who get robbed/assaulted).

Sadly, there is no texas hold-em in the Montreal casino. The only poker there is 3 card, Carribean, Pai Gow, and let it ride. lol Welcome back!

And where does one go to hire Jonathan Trent? :9 -
Of course, I knew privately that you had done this and succeeded... but now want to tell you publicly how happy I am that you did. You are a contribute so much fun, energy, and spirit to this planet, we need you around for a long time!

Bostonguy, an old friend who is >NO mean girl, recently reminded us all of another truth: >CHARACTER DOES MATTER, even hiring an escort. > I haven't commented on this thread because I am still having a grand onld time in Montreal.... But I had to add my support to this statement. TL... esp for guys like you and me who hire for extended appointments.... there's no doubt that it matters. Just about more than anything else (well almost anything else...lol)

Ok Scott.... I am disappointed in you. If that was you that was Towny's roomate, I can't believe you didn't help him hit on that cute marine (see other thread)
-
Hey Towny: I have some advice from someone who spends ALL his free time with guys under 30! 1) Even if you are staying with a cute young guy in a platonic setting... you have to at least try to hit on him. Even if he says no... it makes you feel young! 2) If he's going out, invite yourself along... even if you get disgusted and go home earlier than him. 3) Always remember... that even though we can't help growing older, we don't have to grow old (young at heart). 4) And whatever you do, don't tell him you are quoting that from George Burns, and give him a chance to ask you if that's someone from the Simpsons!

I do miss the >old days in NYC when twinks were a dime a dozen. And all of them were in your house!
-
>Also, what is happening to all the twinks? Should I scrap my >trip to NYC and go to Montreal where there seems to be an >abundance of them? If the twinks are not going to NYC now, >where are they going? I have to agree that some of the most beautiful twinks on earth are in Montreal (and I mean inside and out... they are such wonderful people)... though unlike in the past, they are no longer typically dancers or escorts. So I agree with firecat that it takes some effort to catch one. Worth it for me, because I am in love with the chase. But if you have no time for that, it might not be the place to be. In North America, I have to say that i have seen the most interesting twink escorts advertising in Socal (esp San Diego) and South Florida (mostly Orlando). These are both places that I believe have twink porn production companies... so maybe that's the reason. I agree that it's been a while since I have seen one in NY that I thought was fresh, new, and interesting. Good luck!

Isn't that a picture of the Norfolk escort Harlow? Here are his pics from MER profile. http://www.maleescortreview.com/images/esc...4_7181_orig.jpg http://www.maleescortreview.com/images/esc...4_7177_orig.jpg And here's the pic listed in the "wanted" article: http://www.timesleader.com/images/timeslea...75892696960.gif

>My question is simple: Is monogamy something you want? Do >you know of many guys who are able to stay monogamous for LONG >periods of time? > I just had 3 Montreal boys as house guests for the past month. Does that answer your question?
-
and I'm hoping someone out >there is laughing hysterically Yes.... you got me going, TL. thanks for starting off my day with a great laugh! When you gonna be in montreal?
-
Good luck, Jesse. Though we have never met, I have always thought very highly of you based on your internet persona. I wish you all the best!

Bonne annee a tous! As a new part time Quebecer, I guess that's the best way to say it!

ROFL. They made a movie about something like that... but it was the reverse. I liked the movie better!

Happy holidays to all, and may success/happiness/passion be found in 2007.

That's me in the 5th row, 8th from the left, clapping really hard. Couldn't agree more. I'd stand, but that lady with the hairpiece is stepping on my shoe.

What's equally interesting to me is that the review is still up. All of the information that is supposedly made up and patently false (with proof) has been taken down, but all the positive parts of the review remains. That's interesting... because 1) Either the client was lying or 2) The escort is lying. If the client is lying, then why should we believe anything he has to say in the review, and why should parts of it stand? If the escort is lying, why would we want a good review there to mislead us? This all reminds of the great paradox... "I am lying to you now." Does that mean that I am lying or I am telling the truth? Ok, it's not really relevant, but it's fun to think about. Anyway... since many posters on this board don't want references to the other site to dominate discussion... I ask the more general question: If the admin has definite knowledge that part of a review is false, should he remove only that part, or take down the whole review?

I have to disagree with the conclusions of this science just based on personal experience. Personally, I really like all the foods made with soy, and I am completely and utterly straight. 'Splain, Lucy! :7
