  1. "Then there was the Montreal Group that Marc intoduced me to at Taboo one night,,,, great memories. Then it seemed we would meet there as a group a couple times a year for awhile. Still remember the night I got introduced to Bobby Thompson and Ryan while there. And meeting Tampa and Oz and Oz pointing to me that he knew me (but we had never met). Seems I had used the Escort Agency he use to own, hehe" Wow... such great and vivid memories. I definitely count KYTop in that group of "priceless meets" from this board
  2. Like any other community, you will meet some guys that you really click with, and others who mix like oil and vinegar. I have had both types of experiences with guys who I have interacted with on these (and the old Hooboy) message board... but I wouldn't trade them for the world. Because when they hit... they really hit! I have become very good friends with two of the admins on this board... Totally Oz and Tampa Yankee. And I consider myself fortunate to have their friendship and the wonderful memories of times we have spent together. But I am writing this today because I spent a FANTASTIC day with Cooper. Cooper (best known for his reporting on the old Gaiety and more recently Club 20 in NY and the Montreal club scene) is a guy I was fortunate to meet a couple of years ago and keep in touch with him. We have had fun times in clubs both in NY and Montreal. Today I was in the Apple with 3 boys from Quebec who I had brought to see Broadway... and Cooper opened up his home to us for the entire day for fun, food, drink, and entertainment. No one could have found a more gracious host. Yes sometimes the boards are not thrilling. Sometimes they are full of shit. Sometimes you meet guys who you wish you had never heard of. But when you find someone of like mind and like interest, who cherishes a friendship as much as you do... that experience becomes irreplacable. And maybe more than anything else... that is the most long lasting value to these boards.
  3. Considering this was thrown together at the last minute by the bbcm organization... it was really quite good. Tens of thousands lined Rene-Levesque to watch (including many full families with children)... and it was a very nice and varied spectacle. Lots of hots boys, colors, floats, and interesting characters... BUT... the best thing I saw.... Montreal's Mayor Tremblay (sp?) was walking along in the parade (not riding) in the middle of a large throng of politicians... waving and smilling at the crowd. It was even better than all the hot STOCK dancers in their "carwash" float, the Campus float pulling along dancer Damien, or the Taboo float with the boys dancing in a cage! I mean... really, they do it right here.
  4. Going to NY with a couple of college boys from Quebec to see some Broadway. These guys are 20... so I thought, no problem, we'll go to a 18 and over party... Well Detention NYC is moved to Jersey, and Campus Thursdays College Nite Camp at Splash Bar is 21 and over (for a gay college party?). Heaven is just plain gone. Anybody know if something happened that made the city crack down on these clubs? Or was it just a financial decision on all these clubs to admit only over 21? I've been to these before (surprise surprise) and they were always really well attended.
  5. Hey Dick: Actually it appears that it will happen (at least according to bbcm). Here;s the direct link to their press release: http://www.bbcm.org/images/ProgrammeFinalCorLR.pdf And if you scroll down far enough, they have the route, the dates, etc etc. They even mention a "return" to the a day parade, no doubt a slap in the face to diverscite... since the parade was put at night last year. It really does seem like diverscite and bbcm have gone their separate ways, as you are correct... the diverscite festival does not begin until Aug 1.... and the bbcm events are July 28 and 29, with parade being on sunday July 29. Another interesting thing.... there is a Diverscite party on Sunday Aug 5 with the famous gay Israeli DJ Offer Nissim.... and he's bound to be a twink magnet (LOL...always thinking ahead)... but the press release says it's a Unity event but then it appears to be held at Parking. WTF???
  6. I have been talking to a boy on Flirt and have grown attached to him. Eastern Europe seems like a nice place doesn't it? Hmmm... this happened to me more than once before. I have met and fallen in lust with many a boy from that site, but i got it bad for a couple of boys from Eastern Europe. Actually went there and spent 4 glorious days with him. It's just not possible to get them to the US...at least I couldn't do it. Best of luck.... but I hope that doesn't mean I won't see you in Montreal1
  7. I'll be there... for most of it! And the places to be and see are Unity and Taboo.... Oops...I guess that's always the case!
  8. OZ: I remember that time in your life. And yes, it was impressive. You were a VERY good son!
  9. I watched it in parts as well... and loved the showmanship of Madonna. As usual, her stage presence was unbelievable. But is it me... or was she off-key all night for that performance. Her singing definitely didn't appear to be up to her usual standards. I guess everyone is entitled to a bad night... but I can't remember when Madonna had one!
  10. I agree completely with Oz's assessment. It's a consideration that we all want to go two ways. We certainly would love to be greeted by an escort we had hired, before, IF the timing was right. It reminds me of a very funny story. I was in an elevator in a hotel in Montreal when a dancer that I know pretty well walked in. Now I know this dancer is an accomplished athlete in "his other life" as we have talked a lot, and he has even shown me webpages for his sport which have him and his accomplishments. But anyway, as soon as I said "HI" and his real name... in walked his parents right behind him. He turned sheet white.... and his parents looked extremely suspiciously at me.... and then him. My mind churned at 100 mph, and I quickly countered with...."aren't you (real full name), the (type of athlete)? I have watched your progress on the internet and I really think you're terrific". At which point his parents broke out into big smiles, and told him... wow, people watch you on the internet. They then told me about his next competition and chatted with me on the ride down the elevator. The dancer of course (still mortified) was silent the whole way down. We had a BIG laugh about it later as I was able to wiggle out of that one... but it just goes to show.... be a little careful!
  11. Haha... and I just noticed that you have one more post than I do. So guess my impending compulsive label is in good company. Guess we'll leap into that great unknown together!
  12. Oh Shit! Just a few more posts and I will reach the compulsive category!!!! You'll excuse me if I crawl under a rock for a while....
  13. Ok... first of all... I am a BIG fan of strip clubs and lapdances, so I am very happy for Oregon. Secondly, I am not a lawyer, so I may not understand the finer aspects of constitutional law. However, I do speak English, and under any kind of definition of the word "speech", I am not sure how jumping naked into someone's lap so you can grind against their genitalia for the purpose of arousing them constitutes speech! And since free speech is supposedly protected everywhere, is the judge saying that you could do naked lap dances in the street? I gotta take more linguistics classes if that's the case!
  14. Sounds like someone to bring to Montreal! Just make sure you bring him when I am there! hehe
  15. Are you sure it was me? Usually, if they are not young and male, i don't talk about them. One track minded, you know. Though if it was a place close to Montreal, i guess it could have been tangentially discussed! lol
  16. That's a tough one... especially since it sounds like even though he is very flakey and not reliable, you seem intent on helping him. My advice might be the opposite of the one above. Shop for the very cheapest non-refundable ticket you can find.... tell him you wll be incredibly pissed if he flakes on that ticket since you are buying it for him... and then settle for either he uses the ticket and he owes you big.. or he doesn't and you lose the least amount of money possible.
  17. So far I really like it. congratulations on a smooth transition. I have noticed, however, that if you click "reply" it also copies the entire post before. Is that what is supposed to happen? wonder what happens if you click "quote" ? hehe I'll keep playing around and trying stuff. But so far, it's very cool for the most part!
  18. Sounds like a great trip, Oz. Did you get a chance to check out that new strip club thta is there? When I was there a couple of months ago, I was worried if it would survive. Just wondering if it has, and whether or not they have. You know me and strip clubs!
  19. Congrats, Rob! And good luck! Hopefully we can still meet someday in Montreal! Bring up the signiificant other, and we'll all raise a glass Quebec style! Salut!
  20. Well to be honest, the banner doesn't bother me quite as much as it does you... especially knowing that the site is trying to turn a dollar too. But what is concerning is that now that this banner is up today, when I cllick on the top 10 profiles of the day (an activity that I really love due to the eye candy), I get the banner, but no profile. Just the banner over a blank page. Hopefully that's temporary
  21. The motive in this case is not so unthinkable and >crazy as one might imagine. Harlow really loved and wanted >Brent/Sean. Got it, bloggers/law enforcement/news >outlets/Damon Kruezer? Harlow truly loved and wanted >Brett/Sean. That's the reason, along with all the other >reasons. This was a crime of passion, not in the execution, >but in the motive. Straight America will never understand that >fact. TL: I don't deny that it's conceivable that in some situations this could be the motive. But it would be weird to be the motive in this case when you get the BF of the person infatuated to be the accessory (or maybe even the "trigger man") for the murder. If passion was the motive, Grant Roy would still be in the way, and Joe/Trent would have something to say about Sean/Brent. But to be honest... it's all so bizarre, I am not sure too much would surprise me about this case... except perhaps if they find out that NO ONE in SD had anything to do with it. THAT would surprise me!
  22. >> I also think that Brent Corrigan knew more about >>this especially since they used him as bait on the beach >>surveillance. Did Brent make some kind of deal? > >He absolutely was involved. This kid is nothing but bad news. >He intentionally lied about his age to get into the industry, >produced false id, was at a dinner where discussion of Bryan's >future disappearance was discussed and now just happens to be >involved in a conversion where Bryan's death is discussed. >Are You Kidding Me? (as Rico would say). > >Brent, Sean whatever he wants to be called today could sell >his soul if he thought it would benefit him, or maybe he >already has. > >INSTANT KARMA BABY. > I looked through this entire post for something that I could disagree with.... and I don't think I can find one!
  23. Tonight I could just click on a particular post and see it. I did not have to click the "view all" option and see the entire thread. Things they are changin' for the better! Note I am posting this with my registered name!
  24. Even if he is on a budget, he has to stand in the Times Square half price theater ticket line and go to a couple of Broadway shows. It's definitely something to spend money on. And Oz, there's a little Chinese restaurant near where you used to live on 8th ave that serves a huge heaping mound of fried rice and 4 large chicken wings for $4.95. Buy that, and you can afford Broadway!
  25. >Will the real MarcAnthony please stand up > >WB Haha... thanks. And I really have nothing to interesting to say, but I am so glad that I can post under my registered name that I just HAD to answer you!
