Thanks for the report. It sounds like very much fun and very affordable too. Wish my itinerary went through Spain this summer.

I believe some economists, lead notably by Paul Krugman, have warned us about repeating Japan's lost decade where the economy languished for years because the government refused a proactive jobs and recovery approach in favor of austerity measures. It is our turn now.

The Most-Stolen Cars In The Country By Hannah Elliott | Forbes Think a tough economy automatically means more street crime? Think again. “We’ve been trying to pull that theory back a little bit,” says Frank Scafidi, a spokesman for the National Insurance Crime Bureau. “There is no empirical data to make that kind of broad statement.” If preliminary stats from the FBI crime division hold true, last year will have seen the fewest vehicle thefts since 1967. The most recent FBI crime statistics predict a 7.2-percent reduction in theft since 2009—the lowest rate in more than 40 years. Of course a lower theft rate doesn’t exactly mean all is well, especially if you drive a Honda Accord. Along with the 1995 Honda Civic and 1991 Toyota Camry, the 1994 Accord topped our list of the most stolen cars in the country. But for the first time since 2002, thieves preferred domestic makes over foreign brands. Ford took three spots, including the F-150 pickup and Explorer SUV, while both the Dodge Ram and Caravan made the list. But Honda and Toyota still hold the top three positions, which they’ve done since 2000. Other popular contenders on the most-stolen list were Chevrolet’s Silverado and GMC’s Sierra pickups. In fact, trucks and SUVs have the most theft in proportion to their worth: According to the Highway Data Loss Institute, the value of the loss of a luxury SUV is more than six times as high as the average for all passenger vehicles. And work trucks are particularly attractive because of the extra trim lines and tools they carry. “Thieves are after chrome, horsepower and Hemis,” says Kim Hazelbaker, vice president of the Arlington, Va.-based Highway Data Loss Institute. Back to the good news: The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety reports that the frequency of theft claims for cars and SUVs has declined since 1998 even while average insurance payments per claim have increased. Frequencies have dropped the most for SUVs, from 4.9 claims per 1,000 insured vehicle years in 1998, to 2.4 in 2008, Improved technology has helped relegate the threat. Of the nearly 52,000 Honda Accords stolen last year, more than 44,000 of them were made in the 1990s. Just 5,700 were made more recently than 2000. “Cars themselves are just getting harder to steal,” says Terri Miller, director of the Michigan-based Help Eliminate Auto Theft program. We compiled our list of the year’s most stolen cars using data from the National Insurance Crime Bureau Hot Wheels Report, which annually identifies the most stolen vehicles in the United States based on vehicle theft data submitted by law enforcement to the National Crime Information Center. The most recent findings list the vehicle make, model and model year most reported stolen in 2010. 10) 1999 Ford Taurus 9) 2002 Ford Explorer 8) 1994 Acura Integra 7) 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan 6) 2004 Dodge Ram 5) 1997 Ford F150 4) 1999 GMC Sierra 3) 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 2) 1995 Honda Civic 1) 1994 Honda Accord See original article for related links: http://autos.yahoo.com/news/the-most-stolen-cars-in-the-country.html

I fear and suspect that Obama has done himself in on this deal. At least that is my perception at the moment. Analysts are declaring that this agreement will cost 1.8 million jobs over the next few years and that the economy will slump by over one and a fraction percent next year. I don't think Obama can survive that kind of set back in an election year. It is iffy now. Let's pray that Bachmann gets the GOP nomination. McConell & Boehner are declaring that they will stack their super committee members with extreme anti-tax members. If so that pretty much guarantees another circus around Thanksgiving leading to the triggers being pulled. The histrionics will be historical. It will be interesting to see the defense lobbyist on K Street melting down,, as well as many State governors and Congressman as cuts hit their states. I think the House will swing back to the Dems but the Senate is likely to go Republican. The country will be in deep shit unless the Dems take the House by a wide margin, else the Blue Dogs will sell them down the river. I wouldn't bet on it. The die has been cast forever on future Debt Ceiling actions and probably on a lot of other essential legislation too. That is unless or until the GOP decides it is better to put governing the country ahead of party and politics. I see no sign of that on the horizon. People's actions tend to get reinforced when it gets them their way. That is my crystal ball reading now. Things may change... for better or worse.

The problem with Obama's strategy is that he opens negotiations on the fifty yard line in an attempt at compromise and appeal to the independents at the start. That guarantees that the game is played in the GOP end of the field. And the more intransigent they are, the closer to their goal line. Obama needs to learn to draw some lines and go to the mattresses if necessary. If the GOP wanted to take the country down with a poison pill strategy he should have called their bluff. Now the die is cast for future negotiations and future poison pill debt ceiling episodes. Aceeding to GOP blackmail begets more of it down the road. Why wouldn't it? It works for them. I have little motivation to vote for Obama and other Dems in the next election. My motivation will be to vote against all Republicans while I hold my nose.

College Students Using 'Sugar Daddies' To Pay Off Loan Debt
TampaYankee replied to TotallyOz's topic in The Beer Bar
While what you say it sometimes true, I think it is a broad over generalization. There are bad arrangements for sure. That doesn't make all arrangements so. A smart dedicated student can do quite well in these arrangements. As long as they make good assessments of individuals and make clear well understood rules by both parties it can be great for both sides. Given the proper set up, where I suspect the greatest problem may arise is that some students will fall to the temptation of the easy lifestyle and lose track of their goal and the discipline it takes to reach it. That takes dedication and discipline that not all possess in appropriate strength. -
Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. I didn't care for Hung either but that is not the point. Check out The Punisher and keep in mind that is not Shakespeare either. It is an action vehicle for displaying Jane's wares. As such it soars.

Being a top, I have no first hand perspective on this question. However, I saw an escort more or less regularly over a year or so, several years back -- a bottom naturally. He claimed to be able to accommodate very large cocks. However, he did eventually tell me that he had run into a younger African-American client that he dreaded. He likened his dick to a bed post. So I suspect the question depends on the individual bottom, that any individual will eventually encounter a cock too big and that someone else will be ready, willing, and able to accomodate it. Finding that someone may not be an easy thing to do. I do think the 'too big cock' does affect many tops. Just finding someone able or willing to accommodate an oversized sausage will involve a search as not just anyone can or will accommodate Goliath. EVen then, a really large guy may not be allowed to really slam it home due to limitations of his partner. That necessary restraint could diminish the moment so to speak. That actor is Thomas Jane -- a smokin' hunk!!! I first saw him in the movie 'The Punisher' with John Travolta made 8-10 years ago. He spent most of the movie in a skin tight T shirt or out of it. I'd spend some quality time with him for sure. Here are a few photos and youtube vid for those who may not know of him. I recommend renting the movie or catching it on TV. It runs now and then on Spike or FX or some of the other free cable movie channels.

I have urged my Congressman and Senators to vote NO! Both GOP and Dems. I tell my Dems why I should bother to vote with incompetance, malfeasance, and sell outs like this. I tell my GOP the solution doesn't go far enough - which is true, it demands revenues be part of it. I don't share that last tidbit with them. I'm pissed. Krugman is more right than not on this. We have sold the safety net and expiration of Bush upper bracket taxe cuts down the river. The GOP will just stonewall again. The Dems are truly outmatched by the GOP in tactics. That includes Obama who comes off as an embarassment.

9 Strange But True Health Tips By Bill Phillips and the Editors of Men's Health Jul 25, 2011 I'm a research geek. Every day here at MensHealth.com, at our 10 a.m. news meeting, we assess dozens of new studies from researchers from around the world. Then we publish the most surprising, practical, and empowering research—findings that can change your life today—in our daily news channel. You probably run across some of these studies, too; the major ones get a lot of media attention. That's why I actually prefer sifting through smaller, more obscure periodicals, hunting for research no one else is reporting. For example, over the past week I've learned: You can lose weight by paying for groceries with cash; turns out, you're more likely to buy unhealthy foods if you pay with a credit card. Taking a vitamin D supplement fortifies your muscles, making them less prone to injury. Flirting at work is a hidden sign that your job isn't right for you. Google is making us forgetful, because we're less likely to try to remember information that we know is readily accessible. Who knew, right? Here are nine more fascinating strange-but-true study findings we've run across over the past few years. Live Longer by Changing Your Name People with "positive" initials—ones that spell out things like J.O.Y. or W.O.W.—live nearly 4-1/2 years longer than people with neutral initials, according to a University of California, San Diego study. D.U.D.'s live nearly three years less. Other initials that may shorten life: I.L.L. and D.E.D. Keep Your Mind Sharper by Being a Jerk Research from the U.S. Administration on Aging suggests there's a marked difference between how younger and older people interpret misplacing their car keys. A young guy usually blames someone else. An old man typically blames himself. Never use your age as an excuse—you'll remain sharper longer. Break a High Fever With Your Armpits Anything up to 102°F is mild and can be treated by drinking plenty of fluids. But to quickly bring down a reading above that, put an ice pack under your arm or near your groin. Icing either spot will cool your body's core. It's uncomfortable, but it works fast. Then see a doctor. Prevent Claustrophobia by Smelling This Fruit If you get nervous in small spaces such as subways, elevators, and that closet of an office they stuck you in, visit your local fruit stand. A sniff of green apple may help relieve claustrophobic sensations, says Dr. Alan Hirsch, M.D., director of the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation. Carry one with you. Also, if you're selling your house, placing a basket of fresh green apples on the table may make potential buyers perceive the house as larger. Disinfect a Wound with Honey No Neosporin in the house? Dab the cut with honey before covering it with a bandage. Believe it or not, honey has powerful antibacterial properties. A study in the Archives of Surgery found that honey is capable of destroying almost all strains of the most common wound-infecting bacteria. Stop Bleeding with This Spice Next time you nick yourself in the kitchen, reach for the black pepper, says Roberta Lee, M.D., vice chair of the department of integrative medicine at the Beth Israel Medical Center. Run cold water over the wound to clean it, using soap if you were handling meat. Then sprinkle on the pepper and apply pressure. In no time, the bleeding will stop. Turns out, black pepper has analgesic, antibacterial, and antiseptic properties. And don't worry—it won't sting. See Your Tailor to Cure Back Pain If you have an aching back, it may be because one of your legs is shorter than the other, says Steven McCaw, Ph.D., a researcher at Illinois State University. Even a slight imbalance can cause the spine to curve to the short side when you walk or run. Eventually, the bend puts painful pressure on disks. Most people can’t tell if their legs are different lengths, but a tailor can. Ask one for a quick measurement. If he finds an imbalance, correct the problem with a therapeutic, Dr. Scholl-type insert or see a podiatrist for a custom-made orthotic. Massage Away Nicotine Cravings If you’re a smoker who’s trying to quit, try this simple trick the next time a craving hits: Rub the skin between your index fingers and thumbs and the center of your palms. A study in Preventive Medicine found that men using this technique smoked 25 percent fewer cigarettes in a month than 10 quitters who used traditional distraction methods such as chewing gum. The quick self-massage evidently calms you and keeps your hands busy. Drink This to Lower Your Cholesterol The fiber supplement Metamucil can help lower elevated cholesterol levels. In one study, men who took one packet mixed in water before each meal for eight weeks experienced drops in LDL cholesterol averaging 7 percent. Metamucil also helps to lower blood pressure, blood sugar, and the risk of heart disease, according to the National Fiber Council. HooBoy became quite an entrepreneur after a false start. In the beginning he used an internet host that charged by the traffic throughput. I don't know if he failed to appreciate the consequences of that but the site developed more traffic than he anticipated. Some time down the road the traffic had grown and the host presented him with a bill of $25k for one month. Needless to say, he was astonished and totally unable to meet that payment. He was funding the site out of pocket and his day job at that time, advertising support had not yet materialized. He announced that the site would have to close unless he found a provider that he could afford and started asking for contributions to help pay off the debt and for lawyer or both. He managed to switch to an affordable alternative but continued to struggle with the pay off. That is history. He learned the ropes to the advertising game and he sold escort sponsorships on the site. A devoted member could pay for a photo to be displayed for an escort in the escort index by location. At that time the index had no photos, only the review had a photo. He continued seeking contributions too as the site was still mostly supported out of his pocket. As the site got more and more traffic and more and more advertisers he eventually quit his day job to devote 100% of his time to the site. It is obvious the income stream had grown considerably by then. He got a cut of the TLA video sales on his site. He also got a cut of all travel reservations made on his site. Then there were the escort adds he sold for a short time for $600/mo although they were few in number. As an aside, one day I was talking with HB on the phone and he was beside himself with glee telling me of a great deal he got on a NYC hotel on Priceline. I had never used it before but he spoke glowingly of it based on this deal. I started using PL and got tens of deals on Hotels in the US and Canada in the following years. A few months after that phone call a poster inquired about hotel reservations in his forums. I mentioned the great PL deals I had gotten based on HB's recommendation. He eventually posted in that thread that great deals could be had at the travel agency link on his site. In those intervening months he had entered into an agreement with an online travel agency (Hotels.com??) that he funneled traffic to them for a cut. He had his own travel site/pages, HooBoy's Travel Agency, but when you got in deeper you saw the page layout was one of the existing agencies but with a HB Travel Banner at the top. He also qualified as a Travel Agent and got industry benefits including cut-rate travel for himself. I do not recall him ever mentioning after that link appeared the good deals that PL offered. He often touted his travel link. I don't fault him for that. He was a businessman too and depended on that site for a living. He never took the DONATE link down. He didn't solicit as actively as he did in his desperate days but it was there and he did travel all the time and stay in classy hotels with BFs and had a home base in Amsterdam. He lived a good life after some lean start up years. I congratulate him on that success and on the service he provided to the community he formed.

Comparing Deficit Reduction Plans - A Side by Side View
TampaYankee replied to TotallyOz's topic in The Beer Bar
Where have you been? This is the way it has worked since Day 1 of the Obama administration. Sure their have been substantive differences between the President and the GOP Members of Congress. But there have been several instances where the GOP proposed initiatives that when the President embraced, they walked away from. Remember the GOP idea of a Deficit Commission first proposed by seven GOP Senators? When Obama signed on all seven voted against their own proposal even though there were no changes to their original proposal. Other examples can be dredged up readily. Remember the GOP plan for Health Care reform in the 90s? They demanded the individual mandate. It's is all on tape even though they deny they favored it. Obama proposed a program strikingly similar to that GOP 90s plan and the similar Romney Plan only to have the GOP oppose it as anathema as proposed by Obama. It been clear from Day One that the GOP's main objective has been obstruct Obama in anything he has tried to do. McConnell has declared from the beginning his goal is to make Obama a one term president. SO, yeah, this is nothing new. -
I already placed my bet a month ago. I moved my 401k stock funds to money market until this insanity abates. I learned my lesson in 2008.

I do not pretend expertise on European minority issues. I see bit and pieces from time to time on which I base an opinion which may not stand up to strict scrutiny. That being said, I will jump in the deep end of the pool. Europe's minority problem IMO is: they bring in a lot of foreign labor and immigrants, with no real intention or desire to assimilate them into their society. They want the benefits of that labor but do not want to grant rights full participation in the country. This attitude has spilled over into immigrant sectors too. France may have an Algerian guilt complex but the population as a whole doesn't in its gut. The Brits have their issues too with Pakistanis and to a lesser extent Indians. The Germans have issues with Turks. The immigrants react by staying in the ghettos that accepted them on arrival which was a comfortable place in a strange land, resulting in two separate communities that harbor suspicions and ill feelings about each other. This is strongly aggravated by cultural differences including religion. If a country is going to bring in labor they better be prepared to integrate them into the society or rotate them out reasonably quickly. the problem with the latter is that immigrants don't want to leave the economic benefits of the country and they melt into the woodwork to the escape the bureaucracy leaving them alienated in isolated ghettos. This also explains why we have a large latino population sector that does not integrate into American society fueled by illegal immigrants and temporary migrant laborers that need to hide from the establishment. If a country is going to bring in labor they need to give that population a stake in the country unless you wish to see a separate country grow inside of it. A separate country harbors some individuals that feel alienated with little stake in the establishment. This fertilizes potential terrorists. Countries need to control immigration better in numbers and purpose and accept the responsibility that comes with inviting people work with you -- allowing them to live with you.

We have no such rules. We encourage all to share substantive reviews of escorts here. Many find that they appear faster over here. Some find that they never appear over there. At least there have been remarks to that effect in the past. To be fair, not every review submitted here gets accepted either. We do our best to weed out self-reviews and content-free reviews which amount only to PR notices. We enoucrage all to share substantive reviews of escorts here.

This also rings just as true for those of us who have been. I heartily recommend to those who have never been to make at least one trip to that fantastic city if just to sit in an open air coffee shop on Davey St and watch all the fine men stroll by. There is plenty more than that to do BTW and don't forget to stop at Wreck Beach, the gay nude beach a stone's throw from the West End. You must be in fairly good shape though as the descent down to the beach is quite steep and long and through breathtaking forest scenery. Steps are provided for much of it. Remember also that it is a two-way hike. You might just see Brent Everett taking some sun. Really a quite remarkable city, especially if you have the marketable parameters for meeting hot men. Welcome back ZZ, you have been sorely missed. My sympathy regarding the hospital stay. Wishing you a full speedy recovery.

I would say the more appropriate comparison is with Janis Joplin. Lindsay and Brittany are self destructive but hardly as talented as the other two. That doesn't lessen the concern about them.
