Ummm... Kathy doesn't quite fill Janet's shoes, so to speak. But I suspect Janet has her own surgeon.

Wow!! Bangkok seems sort of habitable. How long does this window of survivability last? Prague a bit chilly but nothing that can be mitigated by a warm body.

I wholeheartedly support whatever you choose to do. For me, easier is better. When a task takes on the aura of becoming a chore then it soon becomes a burden. I appreciate your posts and threads individually or otherwise. I do not want the them to become a burden. We will all be the poorer for it.

I was unaware that Tinker, Taylor... was coming out. Wonderful story IMO. I would definitely see it if I attended movie theaters. I do not though because of age-compromised hearing combined with poor theatre house acoustics. That and sitting immobile for that stretch is a bit of a burden on my knees. Guess I'll have to wait for Blu-Ray. Le Carre is one tedious writer but he could spin a good yarn when he actually got past his mind numbing attempt to paint, with words, the trees, shrubs and wall paper everywhere and actually got down to story telling. Reading Le Carre really brings home the point that, with the right author, there is very little distance between paint and pain, in spelling and in meaning. But I'm a big fan of George Smiley. It was disappointing to seem him killed off.

I've had my eye on David Bromstad for a long time. Also, there was an Asian, Verne something I think. I fantasized about him too. I could make do nicely with all of the others too. Oh, I could have had lots of fun with the B&D submissive that was on before that drama blew up on him. He was quite hot too. I hardly ever watch the show but I do linger if, while surfing thru the channels, one of those hunks is on screen.

Great video. Hot, sexy. Best I have seen of this genre. You won't find this on MTV anytime soon. I doubt LOGO has the balls to show it as is even though this was censored in a spot or two with the fuzzy focus. Too bad for such a minor mar on the production. I give it two thumbs up!

Your kidding yourself if you think the buck stops here. The investigation may, because the powerful elite have power. The President of a University is just a front man who is, first and foremost, a fund raiser. He really doesn't call the big shots. Try the Trustees and select Alumni. That is where decisions get made that seriously affect the University and especially its football program. Yes the visible faces will be sacrificed at a public execution. But the real power will escape unscathed or be allowed to quietly retire from the scene. That is unless a really aggressive prosecution runs with the ball and state higher-ups do not interfere. That remains to be seen. I'll place my bet on containment rather than full exposure.

Syndromes for $200... What is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

I think it is a great idea. We could call it 'Lucky's Digest'. I'm up for it.

Unfortunately, I can empathize with him. I have senior moments like that far too often. Certainly too often to admit to. Also, I'm not running for President. And it's pretty clear that he shouldnt be either. The GOP certainly has gotten themselves in a real pickle. I hate to say it but I predicted they would when they sallied up to the Tea Party and other right wing crazies and sat by while their moderate conservatives were sacrificed on the altar of extremism. The only one of the bunch qualified for the job is Huntsman and he stands a snowball's chance in hell. Paul is actually qualified too but his libertarian policies belong on another planet now or in another era on Earth. We'll probably have to move this to the Politics Forum after it gets a little more visibility here.

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a narrow victory for the proposition -- sure of it. The good people restored my faith that there has got to be some limits as to what the people are willing to embrace. It is hard to get a fair assessment of what is going on in the country these days until election day. The pundits and media are all more interested in pushing activist view points for political purposes or conflict and extreme views and actors for ratings purposes and the polls can be rigged to say what the polster wants to see much of the time. Only when real people vote on concrete issues do I have any faith regarding what they are actually thinking. I take my hat off to the voters of MS, OH, AZ (and other states that escape me for the moment) that give credence that there is a lot of common sense that still prevails in the country.

One shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

Where does one apply for the head-in-the-crotch personnel position seen in after-photo #2?

I doubt I read her book. I'll read some excerpts if published. She was in way over her head as W was. She was an advisor in Bush I so she obviously parlayed that into Bush II's NSA. As I said, he was in over is head too, way over.

Lookin', You sport an unusually flushed erection of considerable extension for which I have great envy for the size, if not the blush. You also have my sympathy for the massive case of blue balls affliction. I recommend an evening with the stud of your desires to exercise the one and alleviate the other. Best wishes.

Going back to the good old days when Christmas was measured by how many caroling groups came by rather than Wall St ink color. Everything in this country is bought and sold, government, health care, ..., even holidays, be it Xmas or Valentines Day. It's all about the Benjamins. About the only holidays that aren't swamped in commericalism are Easter and Passover and I suspect Wall St is greiving over that.

Pardon me but this seems like a bare-bones operation.

I never believed the Euro Union would work. Exactly for the reasons it is failing: 1) maintaining independent economic and fiscal policies, no matter what lip service was paid the the contrary, and 2) the reluctance of sound countries to come to the aid of errant countries either by leaders or populace. The Brits were smart. The EU is a good idea economic idea if they can overcome independent soverignty issues but nobody wants to give in to that. So look to a retrenchment to a smaller EU/Euro Zone with a larger group hanging on in more of a Common Market status.

5 Mistakes You're Making With Your Scrambled Eggs By Danielle Walsh, bon appétit magazine They're an everyday breakfast staple, but scrambled eggs are no piece of (pan)cake. What's supposed to be a creamy, delicate breakfast often turns out spongy, grainy, browned, and overcooked. It's okay; most people don't know how to properly scramble an egg. And it's no wonder--there are so many variables. Do you use high heat or low heat? Add cream, water, or neither? What kind of pan is best? To get some clarification, we asked the staff of the BA Test Kitchen how to correct some of the most common mistakes home cooks make. Their advice, below. Related: 25 Great Cakes to Bake this Month 1. "Don't be wimpy with your eggs. Whisk well and be vigorous about it--you want to add air and volume for fluffy eggs. And whisk the eggs right before adding to pan; don't whisk and let mixture sit (it deflates)." --Kay Chun, Deputy Food Editor 2. "Don't add milk, cream, or water to the eggs. People think it will keep the eggs creamy while cooking, but in fact, the eggs and added liquid will separate during the cooking process creating wet, overcooked eggs. Stir in some creme fraiche after the eggs are off the heat if you want them creamy." --Mary-Frances Heck, Associate Food Editor 3. "Don't use high heat. It's all about patience to achieve the soft curd. Whether you want small curd (stirring often) or large curd (stirring less), you need to scramble eggs over medium-low heat, pulling the pan off the heat if it gets too hot, until they set to desired doneness." --Hunter Lewis, Food Editor See Also: The Ultimate Grilled Cheese Sandwich Guide 4. "Don't overcook them! Take them off the heat a little while before you think they are done. The carryover heat will keep cooking them for a minute or so. Also: Use a cast-iron or a nonstick skillet. If you don't, there will be a rotten clean-up job in your future." --Janet McCracken, Deputy Food Editor And last but not least, ditch that fork! Scramble your eggs with a heat-proof spatula, a flat-topped wooden spoon, or for the perfect curd, chopsticks. Try these tips with our favorite scrambled eggs recipes.
