I have had reports from some previously plagued with the dreaded double login process that checking the 'Remember My login' or whatever it is called seems to do the trick. (Pardon the expression ) Doing it once seems to satisfy the dcforum gods. FWIW
  2. Thanks for the feedback. That is exactly what we need to make an accurate assessment where we stand with user performance issues.
  3. Please bear with us. As part of our last ditch effort, the fourm is undergoing maintenance over the next few days. You may notice transient issues or difficulties as the software guys tromp through the code. I asked them to be careful but this is a kind of china shop and they do wear boots. (I think it is a cowboy fashion thing :7 ) Just wanted to give all a heads up.
  4. Our software integraion with dcforum for a single-login process requires that the software set everyone's 'Remember My Login' flag properly and that the flag be maintained over time. The observed forum behavior over all active members that respond indicates that this process is not working consistently. We have been unable to ascertain the cause and implement a fix to achieve the required reliability. As our final 11th hour attempt to save dcforum, we are asking members encountering the double login problem to perform the second login and use the check box for 'Remember My Login' . If the user can manually set this and that eliinates the need for a second login in subsequent visits then that may provide an acceptable, if not ideal, workaround. So please, if prompted, perform the second login and manually set 'remember my login'. Also please provide feedback on your experience over the next week. This manual process should only be necessary once and not every time or most times for this to be deemed an acceptable workaround. Our present position is to replace dcforums if this manual process does not provide an acceptable workaround. So please provide feedback. Thanks for your patience and support.
  5. I think we are coming down to the crunch on this one. I appreciate that some who are having problems are willing to endure the double login process. However, others are having trouble posting altogether. That is unacceptable. I was a strong advocate for dcfourm in the beginning. I have continued to be a strong advocate for pushing to make it work. It seems that we are unable to conquer this beast. Stay tuned.
  6. >Still having a few issues trying to post using IE. What's >up? That is the $64 dollar question: why some are afflicted and not others. ;( Last week I was having issues with one of my browsers. x( This week they both work fine for me. I know at least a couple of members still are reporting issues. For that we sincerely apologize. ALthough I have not seen the dcforum code myself, in the past I have been in similar position with number crunching code that completely eluded all attempts at modification. So I sympathize with the tech guys. Our ulitmate solution was to replace the offending code with something that was readable, thus comprehendable and developer friendly. We are hoping for additional feedback from users to understand how isolated (or not) these double login problems are. Thanks for the feedback. TY
  7. I am sorry to hear that you need the double login. My browsers are working fine now with single login (Explorer and FF 1.0.7.) Thanks for the feedback. I really don't know what to advise at this moment. I think FF1.5 is due for an update (unless that has already happened) although it is not clear to me that will help. I am hopinig for feedback from others in order to get a biigger picture of the login issue. So far most of the feedback seems to be on the side of keeping dcforum even with the double login. I am unhappy with the idea that some need a double login but I also want to be responsive to user desires. Hopefully additional feedback will be forthcoming. Thanks again.
  8. >I suspect the tech guys were making one last pass at the forum >integration to try to resolve the few outstanding complaints, >as we had requested. > Sure enough the tech guys were crawling through the bowels of dcforum looking for weevils and other bugs. Maybe they knocked over some of china figurines in their sojourn. (I wondered where they disappeared to. ) They seem to be finished and feel the safari was of value. We shall see. I am hopeful... really I am. As straycat remarked, the Member Since Dates are back as is Check Who Is Online, and hopefully the single login process is back on track. Please provide feedback (positive or negative) in the forum on your login experience. If we have returned to an acceptable level of stability in the single login process then maybe we can put it behind us for good. Thanks for your patience. (Mine was drawing a bit thin.)

  10. > Is flamboyant the right word? > Ummmm.... yeah. :* j/k
  11. I'll add my congrats to the list. Nice going. I second a modest celebratory road trip if you have the time. }(
  12. Well, after a period of calm sanity and aceess to the forums I found myself locked out of the single login process using IE. I cleared my cache and cookies and tried again. No go. Thankfully I could get in ok with Firefox 1.07. That was earlier today. Now this evening, I tried to login with Firefox because it was the one working, right? It failed. So I tried IE. It is now working. I mention this because I know other people are having problems today also. I suspect the tech guys were making one last pass at the forum integration to try to resolve the few outstanding complaints, as we had requested. If we cannot get this software mastered then we will be forced to implement an alternative, much as I would regret giving up on dcforum. ;( This is one thing that has to please all the people all of the time.
  13. Good news... control of newest reviews has been returned to us. :7 A misstep during review software update testing. No harm, no foul.
  14. Notice: All newest reviews on the Home Page are temporarily linking to Sreven Draker's review. We are undertaking some minor modifications to the review software and it seems someone got carried away. :+ We hope to have this rectifed quickly. Steven, you owe me for this one... lol :7
  15. I am observing that the Member Since date seems to be changed as people post. Why? I have no idea. I have reported the observation to the tech guys.
  16. >And according to him (via the translations software so grain >of salt here) is studying to become a polymer chemist! > >SEXY! I always suspected you had kinky side.
  17. >I've got an automatic email from reviews@mailescortreview.com >(note the "mail" instead of "male") > >When I tried to respond my message bounced back. > > Oops... well, the bounceback is no surprise. Steven, please, if you still have a copy of the original email please forward it to me at my usual address so that I can review and take appropriate corrective action on our end. Thanks
  18. History tell us that advancement is not without cost... or running the trains on time too. Notice that the trains are running on time now? For the first time almost all the clocks are working on the right time -- the forum is running on time, the reviews are being posted on the correct time, the Top 10 Profiles of the day are in synch, turning over at Midnight EST. Now if the can get the Hits Today Clock in line... It seems that 'Check Who's Online' may have been an unintended casualty in the herding of the Time Lords. Collateral damage I think they call it. Well, that is my guess anyway. As Barry mentioned, we have rounded up a possee and mushed the dogs. Victory will be ours!! ... eventually :7
  19. > I suspect further >inspection will reveal others although I and a few others >remain firmly fixed in January. > It seems no one is immune... I was reborn today. funny, I don't feel any younger. :-( Still awaiting word from the tech guys... obviously.
  20. Ahhh... a very young Jordan Young with a dick to be proud of. Over the years he turned the twink countenance in for butch hair, a bit if muscle and tatoos. But he is back on the scene and still not without charm.
  21. >Yes ... I do believe it is. > From what I have seen I have to disagree. It only becomes porn when it is Flirt4Cash -- and lots of it. ;( Fortunately my CC limit is substantially below the 'first minute' fee.
  22. Possibly just a good friend. }( Seems he is still in need of a protologist or possibly just hooked on the DIY Network. :+
  23. >>God bless Hooboy. For his sake, shouldn't this just all >be >>shut down already? Please put it out of its misery.[/i] > >With this I totally disagree. I loved the man and he did a >great deal for many people including me. To shut down his site >would be a disgrace. I think it should stay and it should >continue. I’m in total agreement with you OZ. > >Daddy has done a good job with posting new reviews. He has >done a good job at letting Barry, Cooper and DeeJ monitor the >site. More agreement here. > There is no need to shut the site down. It has much > more to offer many. I would hate to see the passing of the site. I still have strong sentimental feelings about the site that played a pivotal role in my ‘Coming Of Age’ for my gay life. Without the site I have no doubt that it never would have happened. Yes, I retain strong sentimental feelings. It remains a viable venue for many who come together for discussion. It remains the established frontrunner for male escort reviews. It also has a wealth of interesting and insightful information about escorts, escorting, travel destinations, and personalities. Lots about personalities. Summed up: hundreds of hours of recorded information and entertainment for those that want to discover or revisit it. IMO it also had accumulated significant flaws and shortcomings that over time caused me to loose interest, as an active participant. Maybe sometime I will share my perspective on that but for now I want to go on record that even though I choose not to participate there anymore, I do wish it continued life. More than that, I wish it a continued vibrant life under a management that really cares about the site and its mission and legacy, and that cares about its membership.
  24. I'm glad that you confirmed that you are the paragon of restraint and self discipline I always have known you to be. :+
  25. If you get a '554 TRANSACTION FAILED' message in the bounce then it is not a user defined response. For some reason a small minority of my emails get through -- a very small minority. It seems without rhyme or reason.
