  1. BG, Thanks for the heads up and for giving a recipe for others. I had no idea of a problem with using IE. Of course I had viewed the website pics prior to creating and viewing the post, thus I had cache images on my computer. However, I have had the problem you describe many times in the past. Usually getting the URL from the 'reply with quote' page and as you point out, viewing separately cured the browser post no-show problem. Thanks again. TY
  2. All compliments of: caperboi.blogspot.com Sign me up as a tree trunk hugger. }( http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/659/183/320/516.jpg Ok, so it is not high fashion! But it is HARD fashion. 3. >And welcome to this board. All the new posters here are >warming my soul! There may be more soon. Several familiar faces have signed up this week.
  4. >I have to say that since this site has launched I have found >it both easier to use and much friendlier so when people ask >me I have told them I favor reviews here over hooboy as well >as sending people here when they ask to see reviews. I will >continue to do so. Thanks for the very nice words Jesse. It means all the more coming from an escort in a public forum. We appreciate contributors be they: reviewers, escorts with profiles or posters of either stripe. Every review gets a response whether posted or not, with the exception of the rare oddball review by someone acting out. We try to provide good service for profiles although we have occasional software glitches behind the scenes, characteristic of a young growing site. We welcome all to the forum that come for reasonable discussion. We know there are other choices out there. People don't have to come here. We don't opearate under the assumption that we are the only game in town. However, we do not compromise our pricinples and integrity either. We don't accept every contribution that comes our way just to accumulate them. We are young but we are here for the long haul, for those that appreciate our goals and share our interests.
  5. Office moves almost always happen after hours, often in the dead of night. Maybe one of the movers or a friend had more information than they could contain? Often it is insufficient for those in-the-know to know unless others know that they know. Or maybe a passerby walking down the street noticed a sign over a shop in progress and recognized the significance. Is is interesting to note a choice was made to announce the new domain at another site rather than the MC -- but then that was your point wasn't it. Also interesting is how the MC, part of the HooBoy site, made it into one of the moving crates. Site owership has been in contention all along, obviously. Because the male4malescorts.com domain did not change hands, I assume that the ownership issue remained unresolved. However, the Message Center had to reside somewhere. It would be a shame to loose the legacy that it contains. Some of the disscussion archived in it ages much better than escort reviews.
  6. >Too many people try to get into a relationship to fix themselves >or solve their personal problems. > Very insghtful, Johnny. A great combo: cute ass with a wise head.

  12. Marc, Happy to see that you are bearing up under the hardship. Only a trooper like you keeps a stiff... ummm, upper lip in the face of so much adversity. }( Now two days later, what is the current Vincent count? ... and when are you and Francois to be married?

  16. >You have NEVER been disallowed there exept by your own >inertia. :-) LOL... well deej, you may be right. I take your word for it. I really wish I knew how I clutzed it up if I did. I cannot say it is impossible and I'm not asking you to make a diagnosis. Lord knows, the combo of me and a PC is dangerous. With utmost certainty to my mind, Bill Gates is the antichrist. I appreciate knowing it is not a conspriacy... ummmm, I think. Although the obvious alternative presented is not a pleasant one. ;(
  17. >>PS We also welcome competing site operators. > >Thanks! > Dont mention it. That doesn't preclude the possibility, it only lessens it or resovles that it is likely to remain beyond my capabiity. BTW, I am cognizant of the reverse button positions and took special care to make sure I played with your rules. >>Could I be under moderation? > >Not likely, since we haven't done that in 3 years or more. And >you knew this when you wrote what you did. > I don't know anything anymore about that site, well not much. I have no idea what goes on behind the curtain and YOU KNOW I DONT. I havent posted in almost a year and not since I became associated with this site. Things can change. Curtains are opaque. I posed a question that the observed behavior begged. I'm disappointed to say that your tone reminds me of many self-appointed authorties that, in the past, told you many things about your site or your personal business they knew such and such which you denied vehemently. Now you tell me whati I know and dont know with such authority. >>Also, daddy went on record during Tri's South American >>start-up that he didn't care to censor competition and >would >>be helpful if he could. The comment was stated generally, >not >>specifically with respect to Tri although it was in >response >>to that event. > >Anyone searching Google for Hooboy will see who's putting >money into being deceptive or engaging in misdirection. >There's ONE sponsored (i.e. paid) link, and that ain't >Hooboy's site. > WTF are you going on about? Nonsequitir sir, I say nonsequitir. How is this a response to the treatment of competitors? Making the leap anyway.... You say that advertising on Google is being deceptive? Pleeease. Then Google and much of its community -- all of its advertisers -- are engaging in misdirection and deception. We actually tout our Google ads to our escorts. It benefits them every bit as much as us. In summary, WTF... pleeeease. >Omissions are deceptive too. There was a post here a day or so >ago asking about specific non-reviewed escorts. Your reply was >lengthy and articulate and completely omitted the fact that >those escorts ARE reviewed, just not here. > I honestly didn't know that they were reviewed. I assumed they were not since the question was posed and because I also assume that almost everyone out there knows of your site and its extensive database. So if a question such as that is posed it is likely they are not reviewed -- to my mind. Your input at that point would have been beneficial to the client and welcomed here. We are here to share information for the benefit of our members. We do not subscribe to the NIH syndrome. (Not Invented Here for those not familiar.) So in the end I decided that if I cannot offer up a fish then I can teach someone how to fish. You want to keelhaul me for that? >I suspect I've worn out my welcome now, ... Not true. If you wish to raise issues, skold the admin or offer up information to clients seeking it you are always welcome. We don't have to agree on everything or anything. You know that. >so you likely won't hear from me again. Your call. You are always welcome. > But I do wish you the very best of luck! Back atcha.
  18. I remarked in the 'Special Welcome...' thread that I attempted a post at the m4m.message-forum.net without success. Rather than let the suspense hang in the air, here is the attempted post -- my first in almost a year, probably my last it would seem. The Deli Subject: "sorry about daadys problem/ I need some help" cuddler Tue Aug-01-06 02:33 PM Member since Nov 10th 2003 4 posts >1. Planned my trip to Vancouver this next week. Was going to >use the site when there to contact escorts. >Can you email me Juan from Vancouvers address? PLEASE > >2. To bad a listing of escorts could not be posted here until >site upped again. Any way of that happenon/ >thanks >ccuddler4u@msn.com Subject: Better to light one candle than to curse the darkness cudler, During daddy's temporary down period, if you need information you might try http://www.MaleEscortReview.com . We have seventeen Vancouver listiings with two reviewed. http://www.maleescortreview.com/index.php?...ica&country_id= Even though we are the Avis of escort reviews... any port in a storm. Some may prefer to curse the darkness. Whichever you choose, good luck with your trip. P.S. I think Juan is a great choice. (based on pics and posts) Also consider hotboytoyblake if he is your type.
  19. We welcome everyone who observes the Message Center Policy. That is our only litmus test. I join in welcoming Lucky. PS We also welcome competing site operators. I mention this only because tonight I tried to submit a post at the m4m.message-forum.net site only to find that while I could login, create and preview a post, it was not accepted for display in the message thread. ;( Could I be under moderation? How ironic as I was one of the first members to be granted unmoderated status after HooBoy instituted universal moderation in response to the first great meltdown. Also, daddy went on record during Tri's South American start-up that he didn't care to censor competition and would be helpful if he could. The comment was stated generally, not specifically with respect to Tri although it was in response to that event.
  20. As a general principle we accept reviews for up to 120 days (4 mos) after engagements. Unless, there is ongoing research/uncertainty about a review, it is posted within ten days. Ususally sooner.
  21. FYI The well-known URL male4malescorts.com produces a web page with a handyman gif proclaiming the following notice: [p class=info]We are sorry but the website "www.male4malescorts.com" is no longer available. The M4M Message Center has moved and can be found at:[/p] [p class=title][a href=http://m4m.message-forum.net]http://m4m.message-forum.net[/a][/p]

    WOW

Maybe they are still in the shower?
  23. Hmmm.... yes, it seems to be a bug. I have referred this to programmers. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. TY
  24. Puerto Vallarta seems to have been mentioned often over the years in gay travel threads. I have known escorts to mention their visits to PV as well. On my list one of these years, but not in Summer I think. If you do Mexico City make sure you have earthquake insurance.
  25. >TY I think he is referring to once you're reading a review. >For example when I click on Tommy's thumb it takes me to his >review but the sidebar of the other recent reviews disappears. >Therefore, I must return to the home page to click on the >next escort's thumb for his review. > I admit this had me a bit confused at first. It behaves differently depending whether one is logged in. Without login, the newest reivews occupy the left hand column same as the Home Page. You may move from one review in the column to the next. If you are logged in then your member options are displayed in the left column. Thus you must use the back button to return to the home page for that list of newest reviews. One of the login options that should be there but is NOT for the reviews is the capability to add the reviewed escort to your list of favorites. (An oversight to be sure. ) The idea is for members to create a list of favorites that they want to access immediately without search or descending to the index levels. We can scratch that access list of member options if members prefer to replace it with the current list of new reviews. However, that will not be the case when the user browses the general indexes. Our general indexes are really review snapshots with thumb and summary. We deemed this superior in that readers need not access the whole review if the summary is of no interest. >At that other place the ugly frame set at least is a little >more functional in that I can simply click from each review to >go directly tot he next. > WIth regard to the general indexes, the trade is mentioned above. We are locked into that at this point and IMO our design has advantage. I am interested in knowing if members prefer the other format of only a name/photo indicator index in place or the thumb and summary index. We want to give the members what the want even if it takes some redesign. >Possibly a design modification could be done to allow the most >recent reviews to be accessed from one another. > Yes, we can do that if that is the consensus.
