  1. >One possibility to resolve issue above is just to add a >bookmark button to the page if the appropriate URL is known by >the application. Just a thought. > Yup, that has been my thought. I just haven't approached the chef with the suggested change in the recipe. Timing is everthing... like when there are any sharp edges within reach. :7
  2. Understand your point and will take it under consideration. It depends on how easily that change fits or can be accommodated into the overall architecture. Some of our site design was driven by my frustration with the old HooBoy format as that site database grew in size. The user was presented long lists of escort names (mostly without photos). Each was like a surprise package with regard to looks, ethnicity, sexual position or even if they were actively escorting as determined by most recent review. We sought to provide not only thumbnails up front, but also a summary of the escort details without having to open the entire review list for the escort. Thus those seeking tops wouldn't have to open the complete review to focus on those of interest. Our newest photos concept came as an afterthought and was implemented within the overall design architecture. It may be possible to streamline without undue difficulty, however, there will be at least one drawback, maybe a small one for most. Going directly to the pop-up will preclude the ability to copy the escort page URL. To do that the user will have to restart the path from the location index or search index to arrive at a page that has a copyable page URL. We will take it under review. Also, it would have to be fit into an existing list of enhancements and changes in the works. Thanks for the feedback, we appreciate suggestions on site improvements.
  3. Why not close the bait shop and enjoy retirement? Think lascivious thoughts and of things that go bump in the night. }( Compliments of nakedtokyo.blogspot.com http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/612/2057/320/58461.jpg http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/612/2057/320/56011.jpg http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/612/2057/320/54286.jpg http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/612/2057/320/56054.jpg
  4. I'm glad to see you found a warm place to cuddle up... or is it cuddle while all of this drama transpires. Just remember Sherman... "I will not run if nominated, I will not serve if elected." We need you here!!!!!
  5. I want to congratulate daddy on a gargantuan job of developing a site from semi-scratch in less than seven weeks. As he says, "there is more to do", nevertheless it is a great effort that took a lot of hard work. I look forward to viewing the coming enhancements. Good luck to him.
  6. BigK, I'm going to have tp shut you off and call a taxi to take you home. :+ It seems you have inadvertently sorted your threads by topic, not latest update. Just click on 'latest date' column to resort.
  7. >How come the most recently active post is not at the top of >its forum? Is there a setting I'm missing? The thread with the most recent post is placed at the top of the forum by default. However, the admin or moderator can pin a thread which fixes it as the top of the forum.

  9. >Leave it to taylor to try to revive escortspeak here in the >MER forums. Shame on the management for letting him do it. You >guys purport to want to leave the past behind, to let other >message centers handle their own problems, to avoid personal >attacks and only attack the issue. > This paragraph could not make clearer that you have many bags at your feet as you preach in the premises. I grant that you have been the subject of ferocious personal attacks elsewhere in the past. You also gave pretty good too as I recall. If we were to act solely on past behavior then bodies of all stripes would be stacked like cordwood at the door. We don't ask that you forget. We don't ask that you forgive. We ask that you leave it at the door when stopping by. In Pubs people tend to gather with friends not antagonists. When they do interact with antagonists the purpose is usually to antagonize. I saw beemerboy's post before I left on holiday. While the subject of the post was clear, the purpose was ambiguous. Possibly more so if viewed in past light. I attempt to overlook past light if that baggage is left at the door. Thus I adopted a wait and see... to see who brings what baggage. It was my assessment that the tone of this thread would be dictated not by any underlying potential implication of the post, but rather by the inferences of those responding. Any 'required action' by moderators would be in response, directly or indirectly, to those inferences. This was born out, in spades. Several members saw the post as a simple discussion of personal quirks of an anonymous individual who had put himself 'out there' on several occasions. I am not going to cast judgement on the propriety of discussing individuals whether or not they post here, other than to say they will not be banned. Both sides have been adequately aruged and I see nothing to add. Nor does it matter. Such discussions will be permitted as long as personal information is not disclosed and the discussion remains within acceptable bounds. Comments by several posters have been made in this thread, some with which I agree, others with which I do not. I don't have the time or inclination to address each individually at this point. My personal opinion is often irrelevant to my role as an admin and moderator anyway. >I agree with Vox Pennae that this site must be of its own >and not rely on gossiping and disparaging other >sites for its content. Until it can move >forward without that, it cannot grow. > I agree. I look forward to the day when any other site is far removed from the thoughts of our participants. However, if I may put on my Social Science cap for a moment ( I am really loathe to do this) this phenomenon is explained, in part, by the dynamics of loss or change. Loss, in that some conclude that they really 'can't go home anymore', HooBoy is gone for good, his crib is gone for good, and that they must move forward. Change, in that moving from one nest to another or buying a new car instills a sense of excitement, maybe a little uncertainty, cetainly a new beginning. This becomes a salient, if temporary effect in one's life at whatever level of importance that component of life is to the person experiencing it. And sometimes it's like the weather... it simply offers a topic of conversation. Those that don't perceive a 'change' in their life are not to be expected to discuss how that lack of change is a salient feature exuding excitement or uncertainty in their lives. Ok, the hat is off now. >Just look over the weekend posts, so few as they were, and >wonder where the contributors to this board are. Hopefully enjoying their holiday weekend. Of course some were pumping out their basements. I fault neither group for being AWOL. >The threads >that thrive are the threads about Hooville, its contributors, >its problems, and its competiveness. It definitely is a topic interest but cetainly not the only one. >When someone starts a new >thread here on a different subject, it usually dies. I think that is a bit of an overstatement. Some topics die others succeed. A message board is a very democratic institution. We are young, we attract new voters everyday. More participants translates into more ideas, theoretcially, and more corner soap boxes, practically.
  10. Reflections on a Labor Day without love. Courtesy: m-w.com Main Entry: hol·i·day Pronunciation: 'hä-l&-"dA, [em]Britain usually[/em] 'hä-l&-dE Function: [em]noun[/em] Etymology: Middle English, from Old English hAligdæg, from [em]hAlig[/em] holy + [em]dæg[/em] day 1 : HOLY DAY 2 : a day on which one is exempt from work; specifically : a day marked by a general suspension of work in commemoration of an event 3 [em]chiefly British[/em] : VACATION -- often used in the phrase [em]on holiday[/em]; often used in plural 4 : a period of exemption or relief Well, let's see... no it wasn't a Holy Day, maybe Holy War Day? Ok, an overstatement, but the flesh of the few seemed willing. A day in which one is exempt of work? Clearly!! Too much time on too many hands. Ok, all true Brits had better things to do (as did i). A period of exemption or relief? Hardly. It seems a few of the truly constipated were desperately seeking a movement. I guess we can call that 'in search of relief'. Courtesy: Wikipedia.org [em] Labor Day is a United States federal holiday that takes place on the first Monday of September. In 2006, Labor Day occurred on September 4. The origins of the American Labor Day can be traced back to the Knights of Labor in the United States and a parade organized by them on September 5, 1882 in New York City.... Labor Day has been celebrated on the first Monday in September in the United States since the 1880s.... Labor Day is generally regarded simply as a day of rest and, unlike May Day, political demonstrations are rare. [/em] Well... weren't we Lucky!! (Church Lady, where are you when we need you?) [em]Forms of celebration include picnics, barbecues, fireworks displays, water sports, and public art events. [/em] Some picnic! Yes, there were fireworks. Some tried to barbecue others. Waters sports... lol, to say the least. Not much art, that I saw anyway. [em]Families with school-age children take it as the last chance to travel before the end of summer. Some teenagers and young adults view it as the last weekend for parties before returning to school.... [/em] Finally, an explanation. Just a bunch of young adults 'cutting up' on their last weekend before returning to school. I had a very nice Labor Day, thanks -- a beautiful day spent with family celebrating a birthday. Great way to spend a holiday, the more so after a few days of very wet dank weather. I wish more could have had a pleasant holiday.
  11. > >Given Tampa Yankees unusually curt reply to your comments... No curtness intended. Question asked and answered. No elaboration was necessary IMO. How many ways is there to say Yes? Ummm.... well... yes, I concede that in moments of passion I have heard it said several ways.
  12. >>If you have negative experiences you should report them. > > >I tried to post a review here of the well reviewed escort who >wants $500 / hour to bottom despite the quoted $250 /hour rate >in his review here and was told that is not the basis for a >negative review. That in my view is why relevant information >goes missing. Here is the substance of the review: [em]I called xxxx to arrange something. When I asked his rate for bottoming, he said $ 500.00 / hour. I declined. Nice pics though. Sounds like this is another case of a good escort taking himself too seriously... Too bad, I might have become a regular customer....![/em] and the substance of my reply: [em]Tweety, Thanks for taking the time and effort to submit your review. We appreciate it. However, your experience does not meet our criteria for a reviewable engagement. No engagement took place. There wasn't even an agreement in default. It reduces to simple case of failure to reach agreement on a rate for service. No fault, no harm. Thus we must decline the review. You may wish to consider posting your experience in The Buffet. Others may be able to confirm your experience. Thanks again for your participation, we appreciate it. The Management [/em]

  14. Received today via email from one of our registered UK escorts, a caution notice: Info....please cascade to our members please. _______________________________________________ Important reminder about scammers. DON'T GET CAUGHT! We have had reports about scammers attempting to con escorts out of money again. This normally takes the form of the scammer booking a lengthy visit or overnight stay, followed by the sending of a cheque or other form of money order. This cheque will appear to clear in your account, but in reality, the money from a cheque can be taken back by your bank up to 56 days after it has appeared to clear. The scammer will normally come up with a story about being owed money by somebody in this country, or having a cheque for expenses that needs to be cleared, and will request you to bank the cheque and return the extra money to them. The cheque WILL clear, but your bank WILL take the money back out of your account once they realise it is a fake, but this could be up to two months after it has cleared. Remember, any transaction that appears to be out of the ordinary may be a scam. Most clients will pay you in cash, any complicated arrangements, and certainly anything which involves you RETURNING a balance of money to a client is 99% likely to be a scam. If you have any doubts at all about a client's transaction, please feel free to call us for advice on 020 8255 0277 and press option 4 between 1pm and 5pm Monday to Friday as Sleepyboy.com takes your security and your privacy seriously and is always just a phone call away when help is needed.
  15. >... you and daddy have had no problem censoring posters >or blocking them completely and acknowledging it >(except the little TY issues last month) The only issue there was the combined incompetence of myself teaming with Bill Gates. I should have known better than to get in bed with that guy. x(
  16. Thanks for the heads up. We will investigate. TY
  17. >Yesterday there was an email supposedly >from my bank. Funny thing is that the bank doesn't know my >working email account. It's interesting how they knew your bank? Or was it just an unlikely coincidence? (There is no 'scratching my head' icon. Why is that? )
  18. Thanks for passing along. It's good to keep these in the Spotlight for newbies on the scene. TY
  19. I really love modern architecture!! :9
  20. I noticed the odd poster name earlier and I'm on it. Ummm... I mean I put somebody on it. Thanks for the note.
  21. >In regards to ignoring vs. responding. I have ignored many >things over the past when people started false rumors about me >in various forms, but I felt that this was something that I >needed to respond to as it could have a direct effect on my >business. > Jesse, I felt your original comment was appropriate in content and in style. It is not always wise for those in business to leave charges hanging unanswered. It is also not wise to make more of them than is necessary to make your position clear. You have addressed the issue with economy and style. Unnecessary elaboration only provides grist for the mill for others to grind.
  22. Folks, you can't make this stuff up!! http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20060824/wl_as...na_060824135535 Thu Aug 24, 10:13 AM ET BEIJING (AFP) - China may be giving striptease funerals the last rites after officials arrested five people and ordered an end to the practise, state media said. Strip shows have been commonly used to attract more mourners to funerals, as villagers believe a crowded send-off brings more honor to the deceased, Xinhua news agency said. But police took action after state television exposed the "obscene performances" at a funeral in Donghai county, Jiangsu province, with 200 people including children in attendance, it said. "When the performance reached a climax, two performers started stripping and to show their charm. They even dragged audiences onto the stage to join them," Beijing News said, citing the television report. Wealthier families in villages often employ two troupes of performers to try to draw a crowd at the funerals of their loved ones. After the television report, the local government quickly issued an order to stop the practice and demanded that village committees have to report details of each funeral plan within 12 hours after a villager dies. A hotline was also set up for residents to report on "funeral misdeeds," it said. The funeral striptease is also a popular custom in parts of Taiwan.
  23. deej, Thanks for attending the party, you look so fashionable all dressed up in white. >That's partially correct, but there IS one party that is >actively (and deceptively) using the name and it isn't Daddy. > >>Perhaps Deej should look very close to >>home before pointing any fingers. As the saying goes, >>people who live in glass >> houses should not throw stones. > >Hmmm.... > >daddysreviews.com >message-forum.net > >Where's that glass house? > >Somebody is building a site/identity by sucking the bone >marrow out of a corpse and it isn't us. Careful not to get any on your fashion whites. The spots are such a pain to remove. Let's review a little history... 1 August: HooBoy Site legacy is brought down when the hosting company demands to change and then breaks the current working understanding with the Estate. Daddy portrays himself as a third party, or presents a portrait of ambiguity at best, to the Estate/Host Co. impasse, in an explanation of the site demise posted on the rehosted MC. 1 August: The hosting company, without permission or prior knowledge of the HooBoy site domain owner, directs traffic from the HooBoy male4malescorts.com to a new domain that has no connection with the HooBoy Estate. The new domain is hosted by the very same hosting company that broke the agreement with HooBoy's Estate. Included is a statement that the Message Center has been moved. 1 August: the hosting company places the HooBoy Message Center under that new domain without permission of the HooBoy Estate. A domain in which Daddy appears as the online public face of 'the operator'. This is accompanied by statements that the 'shop' has been set up at the new domain and that reviews will follow. "No new registration is required!" 7 August: The HooBoy estate parks the HooBoy site domain with a different hosting company, prohibiting its use for unauthorized forwarding. Now proclaimed in a statement appended to current daddysreviews escort reviews, that reviews prior to March 2005 will also be posted in the future. Those are reviews under copyright to the HooBoy estate, reviews that have not been sold or otherwise released for use. The only interpretations open to this are: daddy is confident that he will reach agreement with the Estate... finally, prevail over the Estate in a legal action... finally, or use the reviews without Estate permission. Often history repeats. I cannot predict the future. Fortunately I do not have to, it eventually reveals itself. Yes, bone marrow can leave messy spots that are just hell to remove. I recommend one of the fine linen napkins... just in case. Finally, lest there be any confusion, I sincerely wish success in the new venture to daddy and to you if you are a player in the venture. However, when people speak of the Temple Whores they invite closer inspection of the Temple Virgins.
  24. > >The nation is hugely divided on political issues. I could as >easily post things about Bush and Republicans and point to >polls to show that these are widely held beliefs. The fact >that they're widely held isn't a reason to bring them here and >further contribute to the polarization of our political >process. I agree. That is why we choose to end this exchange now. If permitted, I will leave this thread open in the hope that anyone having an opinion on the original topic may chime in. To refresh, the topic is: the child bearing rate of liberals vs conservatives and how far does the acorn fall from the tree with respect to political philosophy.
  25. Interesting article, very imformative. Thanks for sharing the information if that was the purpose. Don't loose site though that is it much more important how one lives than how one dies.
