  3. Oliver, Thanks for sharing. Great report!! Lots of color and fun come across. Looks like your in for a FUN ride. Enjoy and keep us armchair tourists up to date. }( TY
  4. Don't take silence for apathy. I've been overwhelmed trying to regain control of my breathing. (note tongue hanging out.) Photoshopped or not, this IS the stuff that dreams are made of. }(
  5. I'm not convinced I see a trend on the overall scene. I have seen isolated escorts violate the rule of discretion for publicity or political causes. For the most part, targets seems to be celebrities of one ilk or another. The instances of regular escorts outting regular clients seem to me slim. At the moment I can only think of one in recent times, and that IMO involved an unstable personality. That doesn't justify it but does put it in perspective. Observing discretion starts at home. The best way to keep a secret is not to tell it anyone else. Your are putting your confidence into the hands of another. History is replete with violations of trust, even by trusted closest friends. There is almost always a reason -- publicity, personal gain or score settling. A friend is always a friend until he isn't. In the early days of the HooBoy site as I recall, members were almost paranoid about their identities. Many would not post any information about themselves and the ideas of client gatherings was anathema. It was pretty much a secret society with anonymous members. As time passed members became more familiar with some members and with the gathering at large. Walls came down or at least transparency increased on the part of many. It was natural for this to happen between clients and escorts too. Bottom line: Temper the information you reveal with the discretion you need or desire.
  6. I'm pleased with many of our reviewers, SilverDollar included. We have some very good review writers. I am also thankful for several reviewers that have been receptive to constructive criticism. They reworked vague reviews that were little more than a general recommendation into informative content much more beneficial to their peers and the escorts too. I'm pleased with the way our review ratings are working out. SilverDolllar's review is one of several that utlilze the 'Once is Enough' or 'Not for Me' ratings that actually provide very useful information, often positive for many other clients, although not necessarily so for reviewer. It was my opinion that not all experiences fall neatly in the range: Recommended, Satisifactory, Unsatisfactory or Not Recommended. I suspected that forcing reviews in those ratings boxes sometimes caused the reviewer to skip the review because none of those categories accurately reflected the experience. It seemed to me that there was a consensus that anything less than Recommended implied damaged goods in some way and this isn't always the case as some of our reviews show. Sometimes there just isn't a good fit between the client and escort for legitimate reasons that are without fault. Yet the experience may supply legitimate information that causes the escort to appeal to many other prospective clients. A not recommended or unsatisfactory doesn't capture always that experience as a general insight.
  7. I'll settle for the 8800 voting, though you are rounding our numbers up. THanks for the confidence. Remember: Vote early and often. :+
  8. >In the meantime, the fresh new face of big-tent evangelical >Christianity has an appointment to keep. Haggard is visiting >New York next week to talk about poverty and AIDS in Africa >with Bono, singer of the popular-music group U2. I suspect that trip will be postponed... indefinitely. Bottom line: he is toast in the evangelical/conservative circles. A final thought... although he may not be one of 'the most evil', and it sounds like he isn't, it is interesting insight into his psyche that he is willing to publicly cop to buying meth - worst of the worst scourge on the drug scene -- but can't get past the 'massage only' line with the escort. Where do community values lie as reflected by what we will admit and what we wont? I love his variation on Bill Clinton's " i didn't inhale"
  9. It's there: Age and Appearance section.
  10. HooBoy's site is history. His family chose to let it rest in peace.
  11. Ummm... yes, that is as I recall Oz's statement. He posted on behalf of himself. I don't see that it supports at all your contention. I stand by my original response.
  12. >Sorry. Did I misread this thread? >http://www.maleescortreview.com/dcscript/dcboard.php? Methinks you misread the link.
  13. >Where does our traffic come from? Guys hiring escorts. When >traffic is down, hiring is down. > I never really bought into that hypothesis. Clearly hiring clients add to the traffic. However, it is not clear to me how measurable is their contribuition to the overall page hits. IMO the correlation between those that post reviews with those that hire is 0.95 (good guess), and those that hire with those that post messages might be 0.4 (a WAG guess), and with those that only read messages might be 0.1 (another WAG). However, given the number of hits that HooBoy sustained day-in, day-out over the years, if page hits were driven significantly by active clients then escorting would have made a noticable bubble in the GDP. :+ My point is that their are vastly many many more viewers than hiring clients. They drive the page hits IMO for either site or any other free adult site. >So where's your long term proof that I'm wrong? ;-) > It's not my burden to disprove your assertion. Either it can be supported with facts or it is opinion based on anecdotal evidence or fancy. >It actually gets a little weird. Site traffic for both of us >will go down overall but will spike like crazy ON the >holidays. Homos alone will be looking for vicarious fun. > Yes, holidays are a lonely experience for many who ultimately resort to the warm embrace of their computer. >This is just an annual trend I've observed over the years. I can go with that as I had my own observations of the MC participation that shape my opinion. >Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. LOL... if only this were universally true. Alas only the bad shit seems to be repeated. x(
  14. >Over the last five years, there has always been a major >traffic dip on labor day weekend followed by a brief recovery >and gradual slide through the holidays. That trend is somewhat >mitigated this year with a new site coming online, etc., but >here's a graphic that clearly shows the Labor Day plunge and a >gradual slide. I'm sure the same graphic a month from now will >continue to show the gradual slide towards the holidays. Based on my observations of the Message Center over the last seven years, I agree with the seasonal trend analysis for the MC. Whether or not it existed for the reviews, I don't recall any real sense of it although it is quite plausible. The MC trend was more salient with me. I didn't pay as close attention to the reviews on a day-to-day basis. It is reasonable that the End-of-Year holiday season takes a bite out of budgets thus a drop in hiring and plausibly reviews. Based on escort comments, anecdotal experice has shown that the end-of-year slowdown lags well into the beginning of the New Year as bills remain to be paid. Whether any of this extends to the number of site hits, I have no idea. Views(hits) don't cost the viewer any cash and any viewer time crunch tends to be foucsed on and close to the holidays. So it is not obvious to me. I do know that your graphic does not support in the least your site hit hypothesis. Now if it spanned five years or even three years then maybe your case could be made. However, drawing conclusions about seasonal variations sustained over the long term from a three month graphic doesn't even rise to the level of dubious. But then I suspect a 3 year or five year baseline wouldn't have highlighted what you really wanted to show.
  15. > >I hire when I travel. With the increase in prices, some of >the places I go (NYC for example), I don't bother. My view of, and experience with, NYC is just the opposite. While there are many to who ask top dollar I have never had a problem finding hot guys, ready willing and able, asking reasonable rates. My secret (no secret at all) is doing the research and not getting fixated on any specific individual. The plus to NYC is there are many service providers thus is provides a spectrum of looks, services, and pricing.
  16. >Remember when the directive came down from on high that the >other web site wasn't going to be discussed here? That we were >all moving on? Umm... no I don't. I must have missed it, but then a lot more gets past me these days than in the past. I'm not soliciting discussion of daddys here. I am not aware that it was forbidden. I do recall some complaints and some individuals swearing off. Personally, I'm all for moving on with regard to issues such as legitimacy, pedigree, personalities etc., and I might have posted such but... Epignos posed a question about the quantity of reviews posted at both sites. I don't see how a comprehensive response can ignore the sites without ignoring the question. And that is ok too.
  17. Fronts seats are a challenging environment. Although I've spent many a fun time in the front seat, only once did it result in culmination of the dance of the two-backed beast -- late bloomer here. My BF at the time decided he would not be denied. Fortunately my seat was sufficiently adjustable backward from the steering wheel, in addition to a deep reclining back, that we acutally made it work. Well, he made it work. Did I say he would not be denied? Fortunately, as a top on the bottom I didn't have to do much of the work. The console remains traumatized from that experience.}( btw he had one hot ass and he was a screamer. With no pillow to bite he had lights popping on all over the neighborhood. The things we do in our childhood... even our second childhood.
  18. A couple of observations: We cannot post what isn't submitted. Our acceptance rate runs roughly 75% to 80% of what is submitted. Overall trend for us is up. It seems reviews run in tides or groups. Early on we averaged less than one per day. Now we average 1.5 per day or so over the last couple of months (I didnt do the math just gut calculation) We only place new reviews and responses to reviews in the Latest Reviews list. No photos or phone updates. Maybe the overall climate is being influenced the by the increase in rates over the last year. Asking $300 has become relatively widespread beyond the biggest Cities even. Even $250 on the broad horizon was considered high a year ago. Eventually a saturation point will be reached. Maybe it has been? Maybe contributors have become frustrated with the review environment. It has always been easier to read and reap the reviews than to contribute, for any number of reasons. It is clear from reading the sites that some have become weary or wary or discouraged or discontent with the review publication process. Questions of delay, complaints of rejection or worse, reviews disappearing into limbo, not only disccouage those contributors but other potential contributors too. Maybe not. Ultimately competition is good. Those dissatisified with one sight have alternatives. I know we have picked up a few reviews originally destined for other sites and I know that other sites have picked up reviews originally destined for us. It all comes back to the basic premise for whatever reason: we cannot post what isn't submitted.
  19. > "plays the brother, Howard (Ryan Kwanten), who likes >to lounge around with a bare chest and perfectly fitted >cut-off jeans, {and} would sooner become an Abercrombie & >Fitch model than take over the ranch." > My kind of movie... ropin' and wraslin' bare chested A&F boys on a ranch!! All the better when they are sportin' tight butts in even tighter cut-offs, in the deathgrip of passion. }( (Maybe over the top a bit... the best movies are those I haven't seen but imagined. )

  21. >The theme was airforce. > >The Olympic Stadium was studded with stars on the ceiling (and >lasers). > >The music was awesome. > >The crowd was enormous and energetic. > >For those who have never attended this event in the Olympic >Stadium in Montreal.... you are missing a life affirming >celebration! > It is an awesome experience. I did my first there some years ago with Oz & Co. I think we left you at Taboo if I recall correctly. Never seen anything like it. Very worth while seeing once. I did a second time too. Good but not as impresseive becasue it was not held in the main arena. Still 12000 hot sweaty writhing bodies bouncing to the bouncing speakers. }( I see by the time stamp of your post that you bailed early, very early... hehe.
  22. TampaYankee

    is he???

    > I have seen him many times as a man... and when with >me, he's always a man... and a gorgeous first class one at >that! Amen brother!! Trey is trey hot and sexy, loads of fun (is there a pun there?) and great man company. I was suprised to find out that several cute dancers I had know for some time in Montreal did drag on occasion. They dressed up on special occasions like festivals. It wasn't a sexual identity thing. It was more a challenge to see how well they could pass and to have fun and take on a role. For some it is like an acting gig and entertainment -- the same thing that inspires people to take on acting as a vocation. They get off getting into someone else's skin, imaginary characters or real. Not everyone wants to take on acting as a vocation. Lord knows the competition is stiff, the work slim, and the pay sucks for the majority. But some love to do it for free on occasion and in the right environment. So it was with the dancers.
  23. >Geez, I had forgotten that you even had a blog. Just one sign of the clock advancing. At least that is my story and I'm stuck with it. ;(
  24. These situations are always tough. Tougher even because your son as an adult can act independently in the eyes of the law. He has to recognize the extent of his problem and he has to want to get past it. It doesn't sound like he is there yet. All the tougher because he is engaging in very high risk behavior at the same time. The solution lies with him. This is difficult, as a father, to accept. Your problem is to maintain open communication with him without alienating him or enabling him. It is a very dfficult line to walk as a parent. On top of that add the issue that the boyfriend it also being put at risk, apparently unknowingly. It may be impossible to juggle all of these conditions and issues simultaneously. At the least it will be very difficult.
  25. I couldn't get hotlinking to work so here is a link. http://evilgene.com/specialgallery/special...x/100_3351.html ummmm.... yummmm.... very nice!! I love the devilish smile and the eyes.... oh and the ass is very cute too. }(
