I have no knowledge of two other threads regarding Rush being removed.

Why sould you do that? On the other hand why would you walk into a room with your elbows out ready for harsh contact? This may be your internet but it is my Pub and brawls aren't tolerated. It breaks the furniture and gets me out of sorts. So let's ALL of us keep our elbows in and be civil, if not sociable.

I'm quite conflicted about the death penalty, in general. My gut says: an eye for an eye in the absence of extenuating circumstances. My concern is that the correct eye is forfeited. Better the guilty see than the innocent be made blind. However, in this case it seems they have their man.

At best this is some brain dead attempt at political humor that is totally insensitive to bigger social and political issues. At worst, it throws red meat to hate mongers with potential incitement to violence to our national psyche. There actually are crazies out there who could see themselves as martyrsaviors stepping up to save America from itself. One thing is sure. The editorial dept is totally irresponsible as a leader of public conversation and has no business making editorial decisions. IMO, the Managing Editor and cartoonist ought to be offered slots in the mail room or fired. Maybe other heads should roll but I'm unsure without additional information.

The short answer is yes -- many times counting from the earliest days. Their tenure has been marked by the irreverent and plain bad taste often as well as some very funny humor occasionally. Nothing new here really. Neither is the outrage. It's all in the eye of the beholder. Yes, it is sick humor. Some people love it others don't. I'll let the show and the network police itself, when I'm not. After all I have an off switch and channel selector. They get plenty of heat from viewers and sponsors. Last thing we need is a third party nanny saying what is funny and what isn't and what is acceptable and what isn't. If the show doesn't attract viewers and sponsors it won't be around long. That's one view anyway.

At least one of the principles has no knowledge of this lunch. I'm locking this on the suspicion that the above post is an attempt at trolling to have some fun at the expense of other members. That is not the purpose of our forums. Read the policy.
