Agreed. I have travelled a little, and am often asked what is my favourite city. My answer is, it depends, what do I want, how am I feeling, and many other issues. I have to say that relaxing on my balcony at Quay West Hotel, with Sydney Harbour Bridge on my left, harbour in centre, and Opera House on the right, takes some beating, on a sunny day. When it's 10deg and raining, not so! I could make a case for London, culture, New York, energy and culture, Bangkok, Paris, Rome, and so on. Even Cairo in a weird way. Not Bombay, however!

How about humidity?

Do they have a good selection of boys?

Depends how long you take for sex!

Especially if you are into scat!

Pretty good!

Thanks for that. The details are labyrinthine and complex. It seems to say that an employer only needs to pay a food service employee 2 thirds of the minimum wage of $15.00ph, which incidentally is higher than UK, but also says that an employer can make no deduction! I'm sure this is explained somewhere, but I haven't the energy! So, food service employees get a minimum of $10.00ph, plus tips. OK, $10.00 Is not a lot, but they must make way over $5.00ph in tips. I assume that a sensible system, like paying a proper wage, or adding a service charge to the bill, as in the UK, usually 12.5%, would be considered un-american. In France a tip is not usually expected, but the employees are paid properly. Same in Germany.

Thanks!

I am confused between KK massage, and K Man spa. Are they two different shops?

I have no issues leaving a cash tip at the Red Flame Diner, W44th, where I have breakfast. Great old fashioned diner, good quick food, pretty cheap, served by harassed Hispanic waitresses! Mind you I worked out, by looking at turnover etc, that they must make $40 to 50 an hour, so not bad. At the.other end of W44th, near 5th, is a Peruvian/Japanese fusion restaurant. Pre Covid, they proudly announced, 'no tipping, we pay a proper wage'. And, Indeed, no tip expected. A gem. Good food too. Of course it didn't last. When I last went, prices had gone up, and my enquiry as to a no tipping policy was met with bafflement/amusement!

My tutor at University, now 90, says he he can remember the names of all the people he taught. Not as many as you might think, as at Oxford, he only taught people in his/my college, 9 in a year, and stopped teaching when he became a Professor. Even so,that is hundreds of people.

Must have been an interesting school!

I think that's a good point. If you can afford a 'posh' hotel, then you shouldn't try and drive down a boy's price. I'm not saying you should overpay, but nothing wrong with being reasonable. I don't approve of sitting in an expensive hotel room, glorying in having driven the price of a boy down by Bt1,000, or whatever.

Bit cheaper that the Meredien, considerably cheaper than the new Dusit Thani!
-
Perhaps it was already occupied!

One issue I often have is that a lot of the shops don't specify top, bottom or vers. I'm a top, and bottoms are in the minority in these shops, so it would be good to know from the pics.

Japan is great in that respect. When I first went there, many years ago, the bellman had a long trip to my room with my suitcase. When case delivered, I proffered a tip which he waved away, almost angrily! What a pleasant contrast to the USA , where minimum expected tip seems to have reached 20%! I find it annoying that tips are now expected even in takeaway coffee shops!

I hope you have a great view!

Also true in very prosperous and developed countries!

New worldwide income tax proposed for residents in Thailand
Keithambrose replied to Pantherz's topic in Gay Thailand
As I mentioned earlier, I have a friend in Bangkok, who was a tax lawyer in NY. He says that the double taxation treaties should kick in. He personally has a 'wealthy foreigner ' visa, which means he is not subject to these proposals. He says it's much cheaper than the elite visa. -
Distance is interesting. I have a friend, 70, who lives in Cologne. His partner lives in Holland. They have been together 36 years, so it seems to work for them. They meet regular, holiday together regularly, etc. Works for some people.
