I take your point about onsen, but even some of the well known onsen in Tokyo do not have access to mineralised/volcanic water, so they have to cheat, so to speak. My best experience was outside Tokyo, in the Mountains, where we played golf in the morning. And had our onsen, on the slopes of a nearby volcano. In the snow! Magical.

I can't any more! 40 years ago it was reasonable. I used to lunch on the deck, humming Noel Coward, 'in Bangkok at 12 o'clock, they foamed at the mouth and ran, mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun' etc. Best hummed while consuming Tom yum goong, and sweating vigorously.....

Again, this goes back to what is meant by 'Straight'. There are countless comments on here of members having a great time with guys who are married, etc, and who advertise as Straight on the massage ads. Many years ago I stayed at the Oriental. I found I couldn't turnbthe radio off. I summoned assistance, and it transpired that the noise was coming from next door. They had merely cut a hole in the dividing wall, to make life easier! I changed rooms.
