Didn't think about this when I booked my trip. I will arrive in Bangkok coming Monday, so I will also be there on Wednesday night and Thursday. So if I understand correct, on Wednesday evening the bars will be open only till midnight. Good to know, if I go to a bar that I have to make my choice of the "boy of the day" early... And on Thursday evening, will most (gogo) bars stay closed or would they actually open up at midnight? Also; we still have the apps to go boy hunting if bars are closed anyway....

University students massage shop near Ramkhamhaeng University

Is it me or is their LINE not working anymore? Cannot add this account. -
Sounds promising. And location not far from Silom gay-area. Where did you read this review? Anybody from this forum been to Maxwell already?

Whats the Twitter-account of TK Male Massage?

For some reason this reminded me of an embarrassing moment I once had in Tawan bar. When I was leaving the bar and already outside, one of the staff asked me if there was no boy inside I liked. I described one boy that I might be interested in, and this staffmember told me he knew who I was talking about and convinced me to go back inside so he could "match" me to him. I sat down, and moments later one of the Tawan boys showed up. But... This was not the boy I was talking about at all. It was hard to find an exit out of this situation without being painful or awkward for me or the boy...

Exactly. The fact the boys are almost alle fully dressed on stage and the off fee went up so much, BBB is a no-go for me now. There are better alternatives in Pattaya. Only reason I might be tempted to have a quick look at BBB, is to see if the cute waiter is still around that I offed last year. To have him as a "repeater".

I still wonder how your massage guy manages to still find new guys for the 4hands-massage every time... As you have your "private system" already in place for such a long time. That guy is good in his job (not only giving massages, but also providing a flow of fresh boys for you)!

I agree with @vinapu and @spoon and I would choose Pattaya over Patong. A few years ago I lived and worked in Phuket (actually Khao Lak, but went to Patong frequently) and back than there was more action going on in the gay area (the Paradise Complex). There was two or three clubs, some terraces/bars and if I remember correctly two host-bars (the good old concept: guys with number buttons). On my latest visit to Patong I found out there was now host-bar anymore, only only big club (Zag) still open. But that was over a year ago. I hear the old "Boat Bar" opened again. So maybe there is something more going on in Patong again. But definitely more bars and places to choose from in Pattaya. The beaches aren't great in Pattaya, but also beach in Patong itself is not the best. There are good beaches on Phuket, but Patong Beach itself is not that special. I do like hanging out at the "gay area" at the beach in Pattaya (Dongtan Beach). I wonder if @spoon and I go to the same beach area. As I also have a favourite spot because of the nice and goodlooking guy working there... Without shirt, nice body (light muscled).

This time bit different - trip to Thailand in August 2024
emiel1981 replied to vinapu's topic in Gay Thailand
Still new places to explore! I had a look at the facebook page of "The Secret Club" and I wonder if it's "gay" or just one of these "straight" host-bars with a lot of screaming Chinese girls... lol My gut feeling says it's probably the latter. -
GLAM's - 30 Aug 2024 review of new massage shop in BKK
emiel1981 replied to bkkmfj2648's topic in Gay Thailand
On all my Thailand trips, I only visited a handful of massage shops. I tend to choose and take my boy-of-the-day from the (host)bars and hook-up apps. Giving it a thought, it's a bit strange that I do it this way. As what I like most is to start off with a relaxing massage evolving in something more horny and sexy. Instead of just go to my room and start the sexy part directly. I think the main reasons for me not to visit massage places more often are: There are so many massage places, which one to choose? I want a good atmosphere, hygienic place. That's why till now I preferred doing stuff in my hotelroom instead of a massage place where you have to wait to see in what kind of room "the event" is going to take place. That's a nice overview to start with. Thanks. I was actually thinking about going to Senso for the first time on my next trip. But as I am looking for nice muscular type of guy (6pack?) and I do like it when the guy is a bit "older" I might choose Arena instead. About the "older" part: in my experience the guys who are around their 30s know better how to please you, are more experienced and give you better quality massage AND better quality sex. The younger goodlooking guys seem to sometime have this attitude that they don;t need to do much to perform good: they know they have to looks, and don't care about the quality of service they provide. Any opinions about this? Experience I had with 4hands / 3some with 2 moneyboys was that they did not "do anything" to each other. While I would like for it to be a real 3way action. Love seeing the guys kiss and suck each other. As long as their main focus is still om pleasing me off course... lol They way @bkkmfj2648 described, letting your 1st boy choose the other boy, increases chances that the boys will also be willing to interact with each other I expect. Back to one of my main reasons why I did not visit massage shops that often: which one to choose? How do you guys make that decision? Or you just like to try them all out? Does anybody have a list of X (twitter)-accounts of the massage shops? I remember somebody writing on this forum about one place with very explicit images of their staff but can't find it anymore. And some places share details (T or B) with the photo's of their staff also, which helps a lot off course deciding what's your best pick. But still... so much too choose from... -
Haha! The good old BINGO! As it might have a dusty image, it seems BINGO is still around. In my country, The Netherlands, there are very populair drag BINGO's where the drag host makes it really fun with naughty and filthy remarks all the time. Last year I've been to a "strippers bingo": between the different rounds of BINGO there were male strippers doing their thing. Me and my friend were the only male players, between about 100 females. We had so much fun! Specially when one of the male strippers spotted us between all the girls and decided to do his lapdance on me. You should have seen the faces of all those jealous bitches... lol @bkkmfj2648 is already for a long time commenting on the (how he calls it) "farang sit and farang drink"-concept that all the bars in Jomtien Complex seem to have. I totally agree with him. All the bars doing the same thing. And if there is a show of some kind, the acts they do also are almost the same in every bar. Talking about shows: I follow the facebook group page of the Jomtien Complex and it seems there are some more of the "farang sit and farang drink"-bars doing some ind of shows nowadays. The bar-boys doing some dances for example. So that probably already makes the complex a bit more "lively" than before. Will see it with my own eyes in a few weeks! But how come none of these bar-owners comes up with a new concept. I've seen some ideas on this forum before. Can't be that hard to find a creative way of entertainment. With more "audience participation". I think I had read something about a price-draw where you can win a lapdance of a barboy or something for example.

Wow. Sounds like a hot event and sexy show they put on there in Krubb. I'm afraid that I will not have the courage to go there. As I'm always afraid I will not feel comfortabel / welcome as an out-of-shape old farang. Any guys have been there and can tell me my concerns are valid or you say just go there...? How is the sauna-etiquette in Krubb? Do most of the guys walk around naked everywhere or they use the towel provided by the sauna the cover up a bit?

As I am preparing for my trip to Thailand in just 3 weeks now, I am looking to find new places to visit in Bangkok. Was thinking about going to Wat Paknam, famous for its big Buddha statue. I found some recent pictures of the statue being renovated and completely covered in nets. Anybody knows if that is actually the situation right now? Would safe me going all the way there, finding out there nothing to see... Plus: anybody has good advise about how to get there? Many people seem to go there on a boat, so you can see the big statue from the water. Any other advise about nice places to see in Bangkok, besides the main widely known tourist places, let me know!

This time bit different - trip to Thailand in August 2024
emiel1981 replied to vinapu's topic in Gay Thailand
Always nice to read such trip reports. I use it to warm up for my own trip to Thailand (Bangkok and Pattaya) in only 3 weeks. Can't wait to be back. Looks great. Maybe I should check it out when I come to Pattaya in a few weeks. Prices are still oke there? I can imagine because of location and how it looks you pay more that it's actually worth...? I also have good memories about Space Hair Bar. I totally agree what your opinion about this bar. They are so welcoming, not pushing for drinks or tips. But still making sure you get the attention you want from those nice boys. The later it gets, the boys will go topless and customers can toch the muscles. Some discrete groping might me possible also. Discrete is the important word here. The boys working there seem the like to flirt and tease. Hopefully it be me a bit more lively when I visit Pattaya in a few weeks. For sure we will find some nice places still! -
Preparing my trip to Thailand... But I will never be able to speak or understand the Thai language... Even when trying to follow these Instagram lessons... Haha. 🗣️

Sounds like an interesting place. Even if the guys can't be offed it can still be fun to start the night with a poledance strip show of hot muscled guys... We could go check it out @bkkmfj2648 when I come to Pattaya! Can you give any details @spoon about the options on the menu of services...?

Bangkok: Where to stay When I decided to return to Bangkok and Pattaya and my flight ticket was booked, it was time to think about hotel choices. The best hotel experience I had in Bangkok was Le Méridien. Lovely rooftop pool area to chill out and also the nice bath in the spacious hotelroom was great. But it was just after covid when hotel rates were much lower than normal. The rates of Le Méridien are now too high for me. I've stayed in The Raya before. One of the favourites of this forum I think. But being located next to the building site where Soi Twilight used to be (oh; so many good memories in this street...) I read about some noise disturbances when staying in The Raya. Not sure about the situation at this moment, as these comments about noise were from some time ago. But didn;t want to risk it. Plus I wanted a pool so I can relax during the daytime to save energy for nighttime activities... One time I stayed in another favourite hotel of many forum members: The Tarntawan. But I didn't like it that much. Rooms are a bit older and the room I got allocated was very dark (even with the curtains opened), the bathroom shower was so low I couldn't stand under it. Also see one of my old trip reports: Two hotels still on my list to choose from, and I stayed in both hotels before: The Quarter Silom and Ibis Styles Bangkok Silom. Location of The Quarter is perfect. In the same soi as The One / former Tawan bar. While from the Ibis Styles you always have to cross the busy Silom Road to get to the gay areas. But: I liked the pool at Ibis so much more. As the pool at The Quarter is tucked between two buildings. It feels claustrophobic, while Ibis has a nice rooftop pool area much better for chilling out. Also I like the modern, colourful rooms at Ibis. That's how I decided to book the Ibis Styles again this time. Picture of room in Ibis Styles Bangkok Silom when I stayed there last time While browsing hotels in the Silom area, I found the brand new Nishitetsu Hotel Croom Bangkok Silom, located on Silon Road just next to soi 4. Opening Q4 2024. Rooms are not bookable yet. But this place might be interesting to check when you like brand new shiny hotels. Plus the location is perfect of course! Found out @vinapu also mentioned this new hotel on this forum before:

Since 2012 I've been coming to South-East Asia almost every year. And when lucky, sometimes even twice a year. I always start and end my journey in Bangkok. But every time I try to explore a new area/country also. I usually stay around one month in Asia. For this year, I have planned to first fly to Bangkok for some nights of barhopping and meeting boys. Then off to Pattaya for a week beach- and relax-time. After that I will go to China for the first time, visiting some highlights and sight-seeing. Just before returning to Europe I will conclude with some more nights in Bangkok... Any other forum members around on these dates? Bangkok: October 14 - October 18 Pattaya: October 18 - October 24 Bangkok: November 13 - November 17 Of course I will keep you posted via this topic/thread about my adventures when I arrive in the Land of Smiles... Catching up with this forum now, reading about what has changed and what's the current situation in the (gogo)bars, massage parlours, etc.
