Lucky Visas for Americans going to Brazil was eliminated 2 or 3 years ago!!

For me the most action can be found on Grindr! it seems most guys are on it and the price varies from free to $500. Mx. Pesos(roughly $25.US). the biggest problem is getting them to leave, as many will want to drink beer and spend the night! On the whole really nice guys. Escorts that come through from Cancun ask $1,000. to $1200. pesos($50.US)

I am lucky if i remember what i ate for lunch yesterday! much less what i paid over 6 months ago for getting my test! what ever it was it was worth it to me!

thanks everyone for your comments! i appreciate the pros and the cons! my house here in The OC was 2 days on the market and had 4 offers likewise when i was looking for one in ClFlorida you had to be prepared to make a offer that same day or it was gone! so now i start a new phase in my life!

Updated Best days to go for Rio/ Sao Paolo?
Tomcal replied to mixer17's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
my opinion is it’s a good night if you find someone you like! I have been to saunas with 10 working guys and found 2 i like and been to saunas with 35 guys and didn’t find anyone i really wanted! BUT..if you have zero naked guys in your room then a sauna on a bad night is better then your hotel room! Mondays and Wednesdays are the best nights at pointe202, Tuesdays, fridays at 117, the rest of the nights are hit or miss but again better then a empty hotel room! -
i have been to both cities many times over the last 25 years and agree! although not being under 35 nor being latin, Fort Lauderdale seems like the best option fo me!
-
your right although i haven’t had to contend with rush hour for 20 years! i have been very lucky!
-
i agree!!
-
i got informed today i got the house so in about a month or so i will be moving to Ft. Lauderdale!
-
i had very interactive dances with 2 of the guys, just saying i think a lot has to do with how you interact with yhem! i admit there is a good number of them that don’t do much which it is eise timo know some of the regular patrons for advice !
-
we wept told by a very knowledgeable source that the popular guys make $8,000 to 10,000./no. at johnson’s most if not all tax free! which is why some get big attitude with their big “muscles!” and they know who are the guys with the big pockets in the audience! i am not in the condo market i have always bought houses and have done pretty good but i have been lucky buying when the market was low and sellling when it was high. this home in Florida is just under 3,009 da ft with.a good size lot so i will be happy if the deal works out! i should know by Weds! if it doesn’t there will be others!

i think i will keep the tomcat i have had it so long! :-) As far as the pros and cons I am well aware and know that every place has them, i grew up in Minnesota hot humid dinners and -20 degree winters! but thanks for all the advise! Calif.is no longer the place for me but...if the house falls through i may be here a lot longer. btw for those mentioning insurance costs,,,, they have gotten very high in Ca too because of fires i have had 2 sweep through my area with the last 5 years and our rates went way up because i am consired in a fire zone!

So the past 4 days i have been in Fort Lauderdale Florida looking for a house. A couple reasons I’m looking here is because 1) it’s No Income Tax State 2) it is only a 1-1/2 hours from my home in Merida Mexico 3) Is is about a 5 hour shorter flight to Rio/São Paulo then Los Angeles. 4) i am finally retiring and 5) I have a lot of friends here in the FTL area!( and there are 50,000 Brazilians living in FTL/Pompano beach area)! one problem is the So. Florida market, like the SoCal market is overheated right now with most home receiving multiple offers their first day on the market! Yesterday i was with 2 friends both residents here, and we went to look at a home and as we were walking out a car pulled in the driveway and the guy yells out “i can tell this will be a party house!” I thought who is that? It turns out it was a good friend of mine from San Diego who as also looking at homes as he is moving here too! (he ended up putting a offer in on that house!) We then went to another friends hone who invited us over for cocktails, who has a incredible 4,000+sq ft house on the Beach just south of FTL! The 5 of us sat there on his rooftop deck and i was really starting to fall in love with the area! I found a house i like a lot but there is a number of logistics to work out yet but i am hoping it works out because i really do like the house! So the reason i put this on the Latin American board is because of the various bars/strip clubs we went to, a majority of the guys working there are Latins! Many Brazilians, El Salvadorans, Puerto Rican’s, etc. the best place with the most guys is Johnson’s in Wilton Manors! Years ago i used to go to the Boardwalk a lot!(the last tine i was there was 2013 with OZ!) it is a shadow of its former self, IMO!! most of the strippers should have retired 20 years ago! there was one hot latin guy about 22 and the rest could have been his father! they still have the restaurant which was ok, but we stated at the club maybe 15 minutes so to be fair maybe more guys arrived later? l

For the reasons Floridarob gives as well as Cancun/Plays del Carmen/Tullum have a younger overall age group and much more rampid drug use vs Merida!. there is a reason that Merida is considered the safest city in The Americas and Cancun not so much!

I have been to Brazil 3 times and mexico twice in the last year and feit as safe is i did in SoCal with the precautions being taken in both countries! although i was probably most nervous in Cancun(not in Merida)!
-
It’s a ongoing thing! Heck He calls every evening to me and never say never, but i think the chances of getting back together are less then 10%

:-) What can i say? i love Brazll!! My next trip there will be in August!

Initially i didn’t think sauna life would last this long as i started going to the saunas just when places like the Gaiety and Stellas in NTC and Numbers in LA were slowing down, but culturally Brazil was different how they viewed them! they were busy and in fact had 6 saunas in Rio around 2005/6. today both Rio and São Paulo each have 2 to service a metro area of 9 million and 23 Million respectfully! Economics certainly are playing a big part, so the short answer i see them surviving for the next 5 years just because of economics! there are and will continue to be a lot of young Brazilians out of work! Actually cities a lot smaller then Rio or SP have 2 saunas!(Porto Alegre, Belo Horzonte, , Salvador are 3 examples). As far as quality goes that is “in the eye of the beholder”! Certainly Lagoa would multiple Gorgeus guys on any night 15 years ago(and some are still there just more wrinkles)but there are still stunning guys to be found! if i could have shown the faces on the photos i posted i think you would agree! This trip i just got back from i found a stunning guy at Pointe and was told by the owner that was his first night working and he was amazing! I admit that 5 of the guys i currently see there do not work the saunas or online. They have regular jobs and see me when they have free time to meet up and they do cost about $50,r more then the sauna guys, but to me they are worth it! Sorry for the long reply!

Yes i really fell for the dentist i mentioned and it does get complicated for several reasons! He had gone to my home in Mexico 6 times with me over the last 2 years and we actually talked about getting married but i broke up with him 2 weeks ago after getting back from my latest trip to Rio! it was hard but for the best and i do wish him much happiness! Everyone is different and for me the best thing i can do is not being in a long term relationship but rather enjoy the great time Brazil provides! About 2/3 of the guys i see on a given trip are guys i know from previous visits and the majority don’t work in the sauna anymore, so it is more like dates with them! As an example this last trip i was with 21 guy of which 13 were guys i knew from previous trips!

This year 2021 marks 20 years of going to Brazil, usually 4 times a year, sometimes 5. I wanted to write about some of the friends i have made. this is about “boys” i have met that are now men in successful careers! i have stayed in touch with them . 1) A.F. was a guy who at 19 ended up in Rio from the small town a 100 miles from São Paulo. He is gay and became the boyfriend of one of the sauna owners and a year after that ended, worked in the sauna as a “boy” for about a year and then moved to Paris to be a gogo boy with 2 other sauna guys. about a year after arriving in Paris he could speak conversational French and enrolled in college and 1 year ago graduated with a accounting degree, and looks physically like a beautiful muscle god! 2) in 2013 the manager of Mezziniu sauna in Porto Alegre approached me and asked if i would be interested in a friend of his that was Not a sauna guy but needed to make some extra money that weekend? i told him no that usually guys doing it the first tine are not that good or that much fun! then he said why don’t you just talk to him? He is sitting at the bar in street clothes! He was handsome 21 and attending law school the following year! i saw him every trip i made to Porto Alegre! He became a lawyer 2 years ago, i saw him last a year ago, i remember it well because we were drinking and we had sex 4 times that night, the most ever with one guy in one night! 3) 12 years ago i was in Rio and met who i thought was one of the most handsome guys i had met, he was in his early 20’s and told me he was in college and going to go to med school. It turns out he didn’t go to med school but Dental school and is now a dentist in Rio! Dentists are allowed to give Botox in Brazil and when i was there 3 weeks ago he did a session on me and i have to say he did a great job! I met what was and still is one f the nicest guys ever! a year later he joined the French Foreign legion. At the time he was already a black belt in Brazilian JuJitsu and has been living in the FFL base in Corsica and traveling the world with them! he messaged me yesterday messages me that he has put his 4 years in and is getting out finishing his degree in 1-1/2 years and opening a Brazilian JuJitsu school in France! He is going to a international competition in Mexico next year! there are more stories but these mare my top 4 who i have kept in contact with! here are non face photos of the 4

Does brazil follow the 6 month passport rule?

This is where it is good do you have friends in high places!! i took my Corona CPR test Friday at the clinic in Copa, and they assured me i would have the results so i could fly back to the states Sunday night! at 11:30am on Saturday morning No results in my email. one reason i picked this clinic is because of its reputation and its profile says it is open 24/7 7 days a week! when i called there i got a voice recorder, so i decided to take a uber and get my results rather then depending on email, i got there at at 2:00 and they are closed! i wasn’t panicking yet as i wasn’t leaving Rio for SP until 3:00pm Sunday but that was just 24 hours away! i tried every number i had for them including a fax but no one responded! Now it is this morning and i drive their again and same result! So i did something i rarely do and called my friend of 20 years Luis, wgmho was the first guy i met in Rio 20 years ago! he was the former BF of Junior at Pointe and most importantly a federal district attorney for the state of Rio de janeiro! Long story short... it took Luis 5 minutes to have my paperwork emailed to me! We had just gone out to a amazing restaurant in Leme two nights ago before all this happened! So i am flying to SP and going to stop in at Lagoa for 2 hours before catching my flight home! As a side note i went to Pointe last night for 2 hours before heading out to dinner with friends and while there were only about a dozen guys there, there was a new guy that was absolutely stunning! we talked for only about 10 minutes before i had to say “let’s go to a room”!! he has a “Gleem Smile”’ nice toned body and a really nice guy with Zero attitude! Afterwards we exchanged instagram numbers and i am definitely seeing him next trip’. Just goes to show you that a Slow night can still be amazing!!
