I don't think it will affect the saunas! remember everything in Brazil is corrupt and the police are paid by every business owner protection money, in the case of the saunas they pay depending on the size, from $400. to $750. a week and in the case of Rio there are two different police units paid off the regular patrols and the type of SVU units. As long as they keep paying they will be fine!

Several members have asked me who is the guy in the video of the house? He is Brazilian from Sao Paulo that came to Merida for 10 days. Great guy! he will be coming back in the future!

Besides sex, there are many things to see and do in Merida and surrounding Yucatán Penninsula! The whole area is pock marked with “Ceynotes” basically holes in the underlining limestone base which vary in size from swimming pool to large pond size swimming holes! Many have access to them and are places to go swimming and exploring! They form the largest underwater cave system, stretching all the way to Cancun, over 100 miles away. Mayan pyramids - there are over 25 locations with the Mesoamerican Pyramids that are anywhere from one to 3 hours away and many tour companies will pick you up and take you or you can rent a car, For the nature lovers, Along the coast are several large nature preserves with huge flocks of up to 15,000 Flamingos which can be seen most of the year, mammals such as Jaguars, Ocelots and Marguays can be found. Also various species of Monkeys and Parrots. All of these places are easy day trips. Further to the E/SE towards Cancun and Tulum would take 3-1/2 hrs. each way and are better for a several days trip. the last photo is the Cathedral of Merida that sits in the center of Merida and which the large park in front of has numerous activities every night, music, dances and food fairs.

Tri did not move to take care of his aging parents! he moved to the basement of his sisters house because he was broke! because of spending everything on his Brazilian BF! no one moves to the basement of a home in kansas City after living in SF and Rio unless they are in dire straights! just saying!

i think too much energy and time is being put into “where will i be safe and have sex!”. Again i have been coming here 4 or 5 times a year for 17 years and have never had a problem and i would venture to guess i do more guys then the majority going to Brazil do! 1)If you are the nervous nelly type person, have sex at the sauna only! DONE! your fears are solved! 2)If you want to have sex outside the sauna but have concerns...use a sex motel! Done problem solved! 3) Put your big boy pants on, be smart when making decisions (like only withdrawing money during the day from the atms and doing it daily so that on the off chance you do get robbed they are not going to get more then what you spend in a day, that amount could vary widely depending on the person, lol.) about your sex partners, and have fun! Instead of worrying about what possibly could happen think about what will happen at the sauna! I am not just talking about myself but 3 friends who have been going to Brazil for as long as i have and have not had any problems either(florida rob exception! lol)We all operate about the same and they take guys back to their apts almost as often as i do!

No the stories are partially true, He did not lose his assets to the BF unless you count taking him to Europe twice and paying for 6 years college all on a govt pension! bttm line Tri is in “love” and is leaving what he has left to the husband who 15 years ago was a “lean” tall guy..now a close to 38 yr old who is more rotund!

He and the Brazilian are still married so that he will get survivor benefits, gov’t pension as Tribid about 75 and the husband is about 35.

Merida has 4 gay bars/clubs in town and a sauna about a 1/2 hour from the centro, 2 of them are approximately 5 blocks from my house. Grindr is very popular and so far about 70% of the guys i have met on there have been “free” even thou i have in my profile i am looking for business! most have been between 20 to 24 yrs old, although there is one persistent 18 yr old that i am not interested in but he keeps messaging! my last 10 day stay, 9 out of the 12 guys i met up with were free. also even paid hookups last several hours to all night! If you have beer they are happy to spend the entire nights! Paid encounters run $500.Pesos ($25.US) I have had two guys i have seen multiple times not charge after the first time!! they just want to relax and drink beer and have sex!
