My next trip I plan to give Thailand a miss, several reasons, I feel "Thailanded " out, and also the currency going down makes it expensive. I plan next trip to go to the Phillipines, I want to meet the dark skin " man" type of lads and whilst im hearing all types of stories I did hear Cebu is the best place. Im after cheaper pricing than Thailand, im after straight type top boys. If there are other areas your aware of please let me know. I recall a farang years ago telling ne a certain place in the Phills where there was umpteen guys willing to satisfy lust for the right dollar. Just cant recall where now. I will probaly fly to Manila a few days then onto Cebu.

Yes i think it is. Many of the past Go Go bars with the exception of the rougher type ( Holiday2) had a mixture of boys which i never did like. Mind you Krazy Dragon under owner Mark nuche was tattooed boys many of them scrawny which didnt appeal to me. Many of the boys in Nice Boys are whilst tattooed are more muscular and fit looking than boys 10_15 years ago

Went into Winner boys last week. Friendly owner from Denmark originally, Paul who seemed to be hapoy smoking and drinking non stop. He told me that he had to charge 600b off before 10pm as boys were being offed and he had no staff. Boys are also given 100b if they return to the bar before midnight so thats additional expenses and I see where he is coming from. Had a bit of a crowd in there, drinks 79 baht, mostly twinky types and a few sissy type boys.

I will add too that I do believe other bar owners " dob" each other in , however I am not saying it happened in this case. Obviously there was some " intelligence" that certain bars , apparently they raided 2, had more foreign boys employed. Why do they take this risk? If they are willing to risk foreign boys, then why not havd African or Filipino which im sure would be more popular than Cambodian.

I personally can only say I think its a good thing that Police are looking for foreigners working in bars eg Cambodian, Lao etc. One farang owned bar I went into seemed to have all Cambodian boys working there. One boy I sat with had no grasp of English or even Thai. Ironically another farang bar owner who had only Thai boys working for him told me he secretely welcomes the raid. And I must say I do too, if its done correctly and not just because some bar owner didnt make a payment.

In regards to tipping, the longer I stated in Thailand the less I tipped unless I received good service. I recall visiting a massage place and receiving a foot massage from a middleaged lady, it was quite good and I thought I tipped her adeqautely at 100b. It seems to her it wasnt good enough and she turned her face into a sour look showing the other staff. After that I decided foot masseurs dont desrve big tips and I tipped 20 baht and still git a thankyou. One expat told me he only tips the foot masseurs 20 baht and no need to go over. As for motorbike taxi driver silly me was tipping them in my first few weeks of arrival , only to find the very same ones ( outside my hotel) refused to take me one day wheb I was 10 baht short,after that I just paid the correct fare.

I doubt Airline staff would eat the food you gave them as a tip,would they allowed to in this day abd age? Im surprised they accepted it

I agree Nice boys is a great Go Go. I think drinks were 170 baht. I tipped each boy 100 b for some quick oral " communication". Actually in all the latest times I have been in there I didnt see any mamasan only yhe older chubby Thai guy who I think is the owner? I guesd Nice boys go go isnt for everyone's tastes, it has more Man type boys rather than twinky or feminine type which you will find ot far away at Winner Boy go go.
