Hmm...the location is 3 blocks west of Ave. Caracas. This is not good barrio and is normally to be avoided; if you ask locals in Chapinero many will not venture on the other side of Ave Caracas as it is not considered safe. Once I visited a guy a few blocks to the North the location you refer to and I would def. not walk in that area after sunset; deserted and spookey; very different from Chapinero on the other side of Ave Caracas. At least take an Uber to the location.

Just ask the guy to send a pic of his ID. Young guys know that it is an issue and have no problems sending it to you to verify their age; if he is not prepared to do that it is good reason to discontinue the chat immediately. Based on my recent visit to S D.

I wanted to add some comments on Apolo Spa/sauna based on my recent Sunday afternoon visit for the foam party which was great fun. The entrance fees have already been covered above. It is 600 pesos on Sundays (but including a pair of nice trunks (underwear) from the collection for sale). The guy in the reception is indeed very good looking/handsome. I arrived around 4:30PM. Downstairs are the section for changing clothes with lockers and the main room with the bar and the jacuzzi in the corner. A DJ was playing but only a few quests downstairs. Upstairs it was quite busy - 2 saunas (1 wet and 1 dry), dark room, video room and the cubicles with glory holes/cabins (and shower/toilets of course). I was chatting with a local guy in one of the saunas and he gave information about the venue which is apparently the only of its kind in D R. According to him, the best day is Sunday late afternoons as the sauna has theme parties and stripper(s) coming. Later I joined him and his group of friends downstairs which in the meantime had become much busier. Great music from the DJ and the bar was selling quite a few beers (the local Presidente is great, even the light version, 200 pesos) and drinks. A lot of hot local guys there (i.a. young and fit) and hardly no visitors (not that I could spot). So a lot of eye candy. You walk around in your underwear (speedos or trunks) or shorts; I can't recall any with towels only. The stripper came at 6 PM downstairs. Nothing spectacular but he showed off his hard dick and gave the audience a chance to grope (and obviously hoping for a tip). Soon after the foam started pouring down from the ceiling and everyone started dancing and groping in the foam; many guys took off their underwear/speedos/shorts on the dance floor. Certainly not shy; great fun. Guests were going back and forth between the foam downstairs and the cruising upstairs. Some action in the dry sauna as at least on 2 occasions I saw 1 or 2 guys sucking others. The dark room (pitch dark so a bit uncomfortable for me) was also busy with a lot groping going on. It was very busy upstairs and in general guys where coming and leaving the sauna all the time. At 8 PM the foam party had ended and most had left. So did I. A great experience; I wouldn't hesitate going again. Saturday and Sunday late afternoons should busy and good days to go. I didn't observe any hustlers or working guys looking for customers there, but I might be wrong on that. Massage didn't seem to be on offer.

The rate at Juan Binbin is 3,000 pesos. No discounts offered. Juan claims that this has been the rate for years; Idk. So it appears that you haven’t been overcharged. The well build/gym fit, popular or experienced guys, e.g. at Marlow’s will be able to command 2-2,500. Of course, the guys will ask for more initially so keep your wits about you when negotiating prices. Above is for a quick/ maximum 1 hour session. You suck and be fucked (condon or no condon), no kissing or touching your genitals involved. Forget about them btm for you.

Because of the distance/logistics involved when you meet a guy downtown/at Parque de Bolivar and you stay in Laureles or El Poblado. Secondly, some may not prefer to take these guys (read street hustlers) to your hotel room due to the potential issues involved (with the hotel or if the guy starts demanding more money etc; I believe you have experienced yourself recently how uncomfortable it is when the guy makes a scene/demanding more money and refusing to leave). There is one on calle 52 near the Palace of Culture in the city center. Almost next to the Bancolombia cajero on calle 52 but I can't remember its name, sorry. Look for the little sign with prices on the wall just inside the open door to the street /calle 52; take the stairs to the first floor. (Price is 15 mil for short term use). The boys from Parque de Bolivar /the park in front of the Cathedral, know it (it is 5-10 min walk from the parque)

Nice. The caretaker could be Mr. Diego in Edificio Maria Antonia. I stayed in room 207 (or 208; I can't remember). Was happy with the room to the back. No issues with quests.

I'm glad you enjoyed Phisicus sauna. I had a great time there as well in July with 3-4 visits as I recall it, including an "all included" massage (great experience). Did you stay at the nearby newly renovated Ere Centenario Lux Suites (Airbnb)? I was quite happy with the room there (I didn't try to sneak in guests though).

I walked past it a few times in Aug. but never went in. From the sign/post inside the entrance It looked like a regular male sauna. Whether masseurs are available and what their services might include I have no idea; however, given my experience from other male saunas in CO I would say that if masseurs are available, "extras", i.e. sex will also be an option against a generous tip (negotiated upfront). In Cali I had massage + sex (almost an hour as I recall it) for 100 mil COP; presumably the price is a bit higher in Bgta.

Late afternoon (4PM) for 2-3 hours until early evening. Weekends are more busy. At Club 55 I was told that Sunday afternoon is even more busy than Saturday.

I have been in Colombia twice. As a general rule you should try to avoid walking around after dark/at night. There are certain areas/barrios in Colombian cities that should be avoided after dark/at night. These areas will often be deserted at night; poorly lit and with poor housing. Stay away/ turn back! If you see other people walk around it should be okay for you as well. Try not to use your phone while walking around especially at night. Colombia is no worse than other countries or certain US cities. If you use common sense, you should be fine.

One a completely different note (however, also from someone contemplating a visit to Dom. Republic) - what is the price level compared to Colombia (where I have been twice and got spoiled by the cheap prices and a favourable exhange rate for COP). I have never been to Dom. Republic before, but I understand from various threads that S D is the place to stay (if into culture and guys rather than the beaches in Punta Cana). How is accommodation in SD in general? Airbnb is preferred solution to have no restrictions on visitors? Sorry for all the questions - and it might be that I have missed the thread "Dom. Republic for beginners" but then do pass on the link or give me a hint. Thx.
