Not trying to take this thread too far off course, but... Seems there is no problem with young Thais traveling outside their Country. That is not the case in the "Beautiful" Philippines. I have experienced first hand and been told by others the problem Pinoys have with their own Immigration Service. Even if they have a passport and a valid RT Ticket they are still denied boarding for a trip outside the Country. Sad and Stupid!!

ICE is becoming very popular in the Philippines. Several hot guys on PlanetRomeo state they are looking for hook-ups with ICE. Well, this happened in the Philippines. At a small Resort south of Dumaguete, Negros Oriental. I felt stupid and angry. I had been told the Resort only took Cash and there were no ATM near there. So I withdrew money in Cebu City before flying there. Put the money in the Room Safe and just charged everything. Came time to pay up and there was just USD200 in the Safe, USD800 was missing. I know the room cleaners opened the safe and took the money. But not way I could prove it!! Fortunately I had a Friend from New Zealand living there and he got money and brought it to me. YES, better to check Daily... Life goes on!!!

Better be careful of that FIX. One trip to the Philippines the room safe would not work. So I accepted the Key and when I was ready to pay the Bill I was USD800 Short. The Resort would not even cover the loss...

WOW those Cube Accommodations are like a Pullman Birth on a Train. Not for this old Dad!! My favorite lately is The Raya Surawong Hotel. Very close to all of the Gay places. I have given up on Tarntawan Hotel . Have fun!!

Here are some suggestions... If you go in January, try to get to Cebu City for the Sinulog Festival. Here are the Dates. January 11 to 20. Big Parade is on January 20. It is FUN and CRAZY!! If you go to Manila Mose's Guide will know the places to visit. I do not see any reason to go up to Angeles City. Nothing there or in Subic. If you want to see the countryside, go south to Taal and Lake Laguna. The cheapest flights from Manila to Cebu (actually the Mactan/Cebu International Airport) are on CebuPacific Airlines or AirAsia Philippines. Book ahead for cheaper fares, but be careful. You cannot make changes after booking and buy your Check-in Baggage with your Ticket to avoid high fees later. Philippines Air Lines is the other choice. Generally higher fares but they usually offer 3 Tiers and include some baggage, and you can also buy flexible fares. They are the only choice for Business Class. NOW I must warn you, the Manila airport (NAIA) is a mess!! Too many passengers and not enough landing slots. Flights from and to there are often delayed by Air Control for 1 hour or more. A ZOO!! There are 3 Terminals and they are spread apart. If possible I would fly in and out of Cebu/Mactan Airport. And then fly up to Manila and back. In Manila I would stay in Makati. It is the cleanest and safest part of Manila. Also the Business and Shopping center. Many hotels to choose from and many rates. Aslo Condos are a good option there. Take a Meter Taxi from the Airport. Expect 1 hour travel time. There are other options. GRAB is good. GO AND HAVE FUN!!! GWMinUSA

Yes vinapu... It is all in how you can get IT!! I much prefer the Philippines. Guess what is why I now go there rather than Thailand. But I must say, I miss the Go-Go Bars in Thailand. Nice to window shop!!!

Sex in the Philippines is not like sex in Thailand... There are Go-Go Bars but not at all the same. Hot men but crazy off-fees, like US$100 to $150 for short time. I understand most are now located up in Quezon City. Guys on PlanetRomeo are not looking specifically for Pay-To-Play. They enjoy meeting Caucasian Men. And older ones are very welcome!! They prefer spending longer time together. But some are looking for NSA Fun!! Be prepared to offer a One-Nighter taxi fare and shopping money. I think 1000P (US$20) to 2500P (US$50). The great thing about Filipinos is they speak English. Much easier to have a conversation!! The best beaches are not on Mactan. Many there are man-made of rocky coral. Go down South to Mabolo to the White Beach area or further down to Oslob and Santander. Or, again, up to Bantayan island. Very beautiful there!!! ENJOY!!

With regard to Boracay, everyone needed a Kick in the Butt!! The biggest problem was sewage. The raw sewage was being connected to the storm water or simply being dumped in the ocean. Many places have no treatment. If there are pipes they do not extend far enough off the beach. So not only is there raw sewage washing up on the beach, but the algae was blooming and washing green slim up onto the beach as well. There has also been construction too far out on the beach. Many vendors sheds and even houses. Many of those places have been removed. Including demolition of concrete structures. There were plans to build a Big Casino on the Island. President Duterte has stopped that for now!!! And finally the main road, which is behind the Hotels and Shop needs to be replaced. It is a major job!! I am impressed that President Duterte had the determination to say ENOUGH. Yes, I think it was take years to get things done. But this has been a major step.

Try visiting Bantayan Island!! Located off the North tip of Cebu Island. It is relatively undiscovered. Santa Fe Town has beautiful white sand beaches. And some good places to eat. No good bars, so take along some friends to Party!! Do not bother with Bantayan Town itself. Only thing there is the one ATM on the Island. Take a Ceres Bus from Cebu City up to Hagnaya Port and then across on the Ferry. About 10 hours travel time. CHEERS
