You may be going to extremes...While things are very bad, it is not the middle east, a war zone or somewhere that people are literally trying to run away..... Why pick a sauna versus a bank or a hotel or somewhere else..... Enough with the dramatics and gossip.... It is not needed, especially for those of us planning trips to HELP the economy in Brazil

Interesting questions.....No you don't get dressed to watch the shows....the drinks are more expensive than if you got them off the street or at a regular restaurant....You take care off your clothes and wear a towel, most clients do... If you choose not to, you will look completely out of place because most patrons have one towels, a few regulars will wear robes... It's simple....no need to overthink the sauna scene... You change clothes, they all tend to have showers, steam and heat rooms, lounging areas where you can have drinks or just sit around and the boys will be around in all these areas and in between depending on the day and time...

Can you give some background history on the saunas that have went bye bye....location, clientele, etc. Thank you....

I have been traveling to Rio since 2004 and the same saunas that offered rentboys have been around....I totally understand what you mean but since this has been a way of life in the country for such a long time, some entrepreneur who loves boys will open up shop.... Even with the large number of saunas they have managed to exist for a long time...while some have closed, the major players seem to have stayed the same....

So the issue is more of a concern for the locals.... One thing about the sauna scene in Rio is it is not going anywhere...One sauna shuts down and another opens in its place

It has been very quite as far as what is going on in the saunas in Rio.... Anybody traveled or local, visited the saunas and have any updates or is it same ol, same ol? Thanks in advance.... Ill give an update when Im there in October...day by day...with some pics....

Dude use google for the info you want on brazil, ie, attractions, where to go and hang out...you have to go to the saunas to see the different boys that are there....there is bound to be somebody for both of your tastes.... Definitely do some research before you go so you make the most of your trip....

It's a win/win on both sides...We get guys who we don't see here in the states for however long we want them for a great rate, they usually get more money than they make on their regular jobs....

Long and expensive flight for a $16.00 discount but I may be able to make something happen....

By the way...I love both of those trucks....I plan to try some of those on the beach on my next visit....

Sorry to hear that it happened...I was wondering how it never happened before...I noticed that the boys in the saunas walked around with their cell phones using the internet.... That is part of the reason I didn't post any pics from my last visit...I want the guys to continue letting take pics of then...years ago it was not a big deal for them to actually pose for pics and now I can see why they were very apprehensive or wanted money for photos.... A few that I was with would only let me take photos of them from the neck down.... Please continue posting...I enjoy your postings....

Randomly searching airfares for October, I found that both Delta and American have specials for October RT to Rio.... Delta has direct flights from Atlanta American has an easy connection in MIA Looks like I will be in Rio for Halloween and New Years this year

I respect everybody who travel to Brazil to enjoy the beaches, the culture and the boys.... I enjoy reading the forums, posts and responses.... I definitely enjoy the photos... In an effort to be completely positive, I want to let everybody who enjoys the forums know that I enjoy being part of these forum and do not like engaging in ANY negativity... Please share with me and others what you enjoy MOST about Brazil....whether a place, thing or person.... Cheers....

I also feel the need to add, outside of being a decade or more older than me, YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER.... I started traveling internationally at about 21 with my own money....regardless of what type of budget you think I have OR what I have, I can and have done everything that I wanted to do during my travels.... You really are a sad queen to be so malicious unnecessarily especially being in your late 40's..... I feel bad for you...Is is sad being older and single and not as attractive as you once may have been.... HAVING to pay versus choosing to do so? I added that while I was in Rio on my last trip I did not pay a few times when I was in the saunas...Do you remember those days....? Sad queen....Please LET ME LIVE and I will continue letting you live....

A decade is a LARGE age difference my dear.... We have nothing in common...I would never stoop down to the level of some queen to try to downgrade and disrespect someone INTENTIONALLY.... I hope you got all the applause and attention that you wanted from posting my ads online....I actually appreciate the additional publicity...I can always use additional spending money when I travel after paying for the tickets from the money that I EARN from my 9-5....
