I asked two sauna guys who work at 117 and Pointe if they heard about this....No from both My buddy that lives in Rio but isnt big on the sauna scene but knows a lot of the guys said he hasnt heard anything about this... Have you gotten any other info?

I cant seem to get anybody in Rio to validate the story

Im reaching out to a few guys I keep in contact with to get more details...I appreciate the report but getting some valid details would be helpful... I always caution guys about thinking with their small heads versus their big brain... Nobody deserves to be murdered or hurt over money but lets make sure we get all the details out

Lapa on Saturday night and early Sunday morning was very festive...which was surprising because the elections were the next day Went to Salguiero Samba School....Colors are red and white... Not sure what was going on that night but I was in the WHITEST place I have ever been in Rio...my friend that took me noted there were tons of foreigners there watching the school practice...(I didn't know white Brazilians were into samba....even got a cute video of an older white guy who reminded me a Beverly Leslie dancing samba) To be clear, most of the performers were black but the audience was almost completely white which I took note because I have been to about 4-5 samba school practices as well as the big show that is put on annually before the actual Carnival and the audiences are either black or mixed Brazilians... Practice was exceptional...tons of video footage...No eye candy like I normally see at the samba schools...Bummed... Went back to Lapa...tons of cuties there...took some pics...had more drinks...Took the bus back to Copa around 3 in the morning...way past my bedtime Sunday...the day I was leaving, I went to 117....extremely slow....a lot of regulars were there just hanging out and relaxing but not that many boys...I left around 6:15 to head to the airport without having any sessions... The weather was decent on Sunday...Sunny but extremely windy on the beach Sidenote-Grindr was jumping with locals as well as payboys...great selection but Im past meeting somebody for pay on Grindr...Ill just go the saunas or having my regulars come to the apartment... Overall really good trip...all missions were accomplished Ill be back at the end of December AND booked a trip for March while there...

Saturday update... Pointe was just okay...not crowded...decent amount of boys and clients Enjoyed the Jacuzzi and met with my regular instead of at the apartment...we couldnt get the times together so I told him we could just get together at Pointe... Got in about 6 pm...was out by 730.... 117 was party central... When I got there about 8 the deck was crowded...all tables taken up...inside area where the stage was at was pretty crowded....great selection of boys...A lot of client...regulars...did notice a lot of African American guys in town They ended up having a decent show...I spent most of my time on the patio relaxing and recovering from Pointe... The last 30 minutes or so before I planned to leave to meet my buddy to go to a samba school I decided to stop being shy....And asked a hottie with glasses does he bottom.... 6ft....toned with a great ass....session was very good...would definitely try him again... Overall...the crowd was festive...a lot of clients and boys.... It did start dying down by the time I left around 10:10 pm...

Quick recap.... Landed Thursday...weather was blah...rainy and overcast most of the day... Some guy do take time off during the holidays to go see their families, depending on where they live... There are also tons of out of towners who will be working in the saunas during the peak season which starts right after Christmas and lasts until after Carnival... Expect tons of guys as well as clients in Rio...good news is there are several saunas for you to choose from....

You can buy pretty much anything on the beach on Rio while you are there.. If you take a book or a magazine, just carry it with you... Again, LOOKING LIKE A TARGET, CAN MAKE YOU A TARGET Criminals don't have xray vision to see what is in the bag, they just see a bag....

I have been going to Brazil for years and never had any issues...Rio is about as dangerous as any major US or international city... Nothing happening currently with the economy is anything new...the economy has been all over the place for the last 15 years or more depending on the season and depending on who is reporting... Always use COMMON sense and your best judgement... What made the kid attack you out of nowhere with the place crowded? Not saying this but did you give the guy any reason to single you out? Again....I know that Rio has its dangers but its very rare for anything major besides a bag snatching in Copa or Ipanema due to all the police presence... Everybody use your best judgement and always be aware of your surroundings...

Serious question... With the advance of social media and forums... How much is too much information to share...I like reading info on peoples trips and suggestions but what is considered too much info... I never say names or post face pics of any of the guys that I have been with or tell too much info where somebody would be bale to figure out who I am talking about... Being vague can be a good thing... But I want to know from others what is too much information or too little information to tell...

Does OC have flights to MIA? What is the route you normally fly? Do you always fly to GRU fight?

With tickets being so low out of Miami...you could find a reasonable flight from LA to MIA...?

HBOs show Vice shadowed police in Rio dealing with more violence since the 2016 Olympics... While the info on the show wasn't anything that I didnt already know.. I always advice people to use your best judgement and be on your Ps and Qs at all times.. The whiter/more touristy areas of Rio are still very much safe...its the areas outside of these areas that are sketchy I was surprised some of the places the camera was allowed to show.... Scotts Travel just listed flights on sales for Rio from major US cities... Flights from Atlanta were under $650 RT up to May 2019... Got a great RT deal for February Airlines were Delta, American LATAM still has flights on sale from MIA...around $610 RT

What was going on...I was just there two weeks before and wasnt there on a Tuesday but didnt see that many guys on Thursday, Friday or Saturday and Sunday was dead....to be expected because of the weather

I do plan to try out Blue Spice restaurant either Thursday or Friday night...Heard great things about the place and saw a video on youtube I mainly go to Bangkok to shop...I love the shopping, get massages....6-7 while Im there and eat Thai food in Thailand...I have only had sex with one REALLY hot Thai who I think was a trainer or worked in a gym... Been to one sauna that was there....total waste of time... Saw the live Sex Show with the muscle guys... Been to Patpong...like it for shopping and all the massage parlors down the street... Saturday morning definitely going to Chatuchuk for shopping...will either go to high tea after shopping or go back to the hotel to shower and change and have a spa day... Grindr is great but it will depend on how well you know Rio and how the guys operate there...Knowing some Portuguese is great as well I have had guys come back from Grindr and guys I have met in the saunas...never had any issues but I dont look like the type of person you would want to fuck with If you are asking these questions...Stick to the saunas...you can do anything and everything there... If you have to ask the same question two different ways, meeting random guys and having them come to your apartment is probably not a wise option....

I always stay in Copa, the apartments I reserved for October and December show much better on the sites and Ill make sure I ask for current photos before I travel over to Rio...

Sunday sucked....Chilly and rainy....Still some people out and about (I went to the farmers market in Copa) but just a terrible day...reminded me of fall in Atlanta...without the sun Skipped Pointe since I had to be at the airport at 6:30 for a 8:55 flight that was delayed for 3 hours...SERIOUSLY Sauna was quiet...there were a good number of boys and clients but the weather definitely deterred people... I should have went with my first instinct and just hired the guy I had at Pointe to come by the apartment... *Sidenote-I realized how much I hated the apartment being in it ALL DAY Sunday and only heading out to get lunch...the location was 5 minutes from the metro station and 7 minutes walk to the beach BUT it was basic as hello and just low budget...Photos lied...I definitely learned a lesson since this was the shittiest apartment that I have stayed in since in all my time of going to Rio... I know the weather will be much better in October and 100% better in December, during the height of the Brazilian summer... Grindr had tons of hotties...I noticed there were more boys for pay versus tourists....
