Just an update. My friend finally booked his early return ticket and i finally summon some gut to ask the boy. Its a bit last minute too, so i am asking a bit too much from the boy, and sad to say the boy isn't available to travel. He said busy with gym trainer. I take that to mean he either work as personal trainer, or have gym training preparation for competition, or simply dont want to go. I didnt even manage to spell out any finance part yet lol. Owh well. No harm done. I said i wish he could come but training is also important, and I did give hint that if he change his mind, he can let me know, with no high expectations that he will. At least i can stop wondering now, and maybe make another try another trip in the future. At the very least, ive learned a lot about the art of travelling with the boys from the sifus here! In light of recent development of multiple hot issues surrounding lgbt in malaysia, i feel i need to give some updates on what I perceive happens to the places i visit and those in the news as well. There are several postings already about the famous blueboy bar being raided as well as lgbt activist poster being removed as well as the canning, so i wont be talking about those. Anyway, even before these issues becoming a hot topic of discussion, gay scene here has always been subdued and relatively underground. Nevertheless we have lgbt artists, icons, activist, that is still free to talk, not being arrested etc. And even those illegal act of gay massage centers, gay saunas, gay boy for hire exists but not in the open. Some of these places were "protected" under previous government where corruption is rampant. When we have new government, the enforcement have a major reform, corrupt police leaders were seen resigning from their posts, and thus starts a "cleaning sweep" process where area/premises who used to be "giving bribe" are no longer safe. However, raids is not unusual here. From time to time, raids do happens, and mostly those who were caught are illegal immigrants workers and the owner if they dont have permit to run such businesses they claim they run. Anyway, ive heard some raids was done and in a different local forum have noted some of my regulars were being sent home. First raids was around end of May this year, at sempurna avenue, then i heard freshm2m cheras got raided too, and bbboy(aroma) which got raided, closed and move upstairs, and got raided second time that leads to the closure of their websites. Weirdly enough, their private IG, still updates new boys picture, so even if i haven't tried contacting them, pretty sure they are still around. Both freshm2m are still in operation albeit with much less boys around now. Sempurna is still in operation too with actually more boys, many locals now. Onto sauna, since sauna here arent usually have workers providing sex/massage, as of now, ive yet heard any raids. And no other bars being raided too, other than the one mentioned above. The two that i always go to are chain massage center called healthland(thai) and reborn(tui na). While the possibility of HE is close to zero, massage wise are always good at least from my experience and sometimes they do carry some cute masseurs too.

I for one could care less about the government policy when i decide my travel destination. It boils down to what the country have to offer that i find interesting and cleanliness and general public attitudes. I stayed away from india/china, and many out of reach area because of this. I am pretty sure i will go there in the future, at least visiting he big cities and tourist area that have well kept facilities one day, but for now, they are not high in my list. I am pretty sure others also have their own criteria on choosing their next vacation destinations. I have to agree 100% that food here is the main reason why malaysian have the highest percentage of their citizens that is categorically obese lol So hard to resist from taking a bite haha. When i travel locally to other states in malaysia, food hunting is one of my top priorities.

I believe this was done fully aware of its impact towards tourism and such. While tourism wasnt malaysia's major income, majority of malaysia's visitors has always been muslim from the middle east, and with recents years, chinese from mainland china, none of which would be affected as much as most western visitors. As with any political issues, majority wins. Heck, even US voted the womanizer, racist, bigot, homophobic orange jay as their president. One thing for sure, the MB market here is still alive, but it is more secluded now. We have gay centers but its not well advertised, even locals have a hard time finding it without some guidance from others. And with the multiple raids, many have goes freelancing. The pool of boys are good enough for me to have someone to go with almost once a week if i want to lol. And bangkok is just 2 hour flight away.

Some things ive done before, strolling lazily around lumphini park, bangkok art and cultural center near mbk, shopping around platinum/pratunam market, the train night market, maeklong market, one of the many museums, cooking lessons, movies, sky bars, asiatique, hard rock cafe, the many local bars with live bands to name a few.

Indeed my main concern is the financial, i want to first make a proposal that are both enticing but not too over the top too lol. It will also helped me in preparing how much money i should bring. Food might be of less concern for me since i am not a picky eater, and ive seen some of his posts in his social media of the variety of food he ate too. I know this topic have been discuss before, and i know all the precautions, good and bad of making this decision. However my query is mostly on the finance part. Ultimately it will be discuss with the said boy, but i dont want to make unreasonable proposal too. I will be travelling to another country, not thailand, with a friend, and there is a high chance that he will have to cut the trip short, thus leaving me alone in the country for at least 4 days alone but also gives me a good opportunity to invite one of the boy to be with me in the country. Now, for those who have done it before, what is usually the expectation in terms of finance? I take it ill be covering the flight tickets and transportation door to door, and daily tips. On the daily tips, should i pay their normal long time fee plus off fee daily? How about the food? Shopping etc? Will it be all inclusive? I am pretty sure i will need to draw some agreement but im clueless to what is expected lol Its just an idea that might not even pan out, but i am tempted to make a proposal to the boy and see if he want to make the travel or not, if he doesnt want to, no harm done hehe

Yup saw this in local news yesterday. the most important things everyone wants to know is, if u are tipping well in gay establishments in thailand, does it usually translated to better services from them? From my experience as well as from reading trip reports, it has always been hit and miss. Sometimes paying high tips give the impression that u dont know the market price, hence labelled as newbie and some boys take advantage of that, while other times, those high tips boys performs much better than the low tips boys. While we keep arguing here, there is one major lack of POV from the boys to put into the equation when discussing tips vs service. And i agree that tipping is confusing for most people, it confused me as well when i first learned about tipping when i was in the states too lol. At least over there, its clear where and how much u should tips, usually 20% and rounded up the dollar. if the service is great, tip more if not tip less. In thailand however, tipping rules are very vague, and throw in manipulative mamasan, tourist scam, and horny gays in the mix, it becomes more complex than simple calculus lol
