They don't advertise it, but you can choose the guy you prefer. They have an iPad with pics of the guys currently available. Now that I finally learned that, I always choose the guy. But you can't choose for foot massage, only body massage. Now if I could just find a similar quality place in Pattaya !

Visiting Prime massage in Bangkok is always a highlight of my trip to Thailand. I haven’t managed to find anything equivalent in Pattaya. Certainly, I’ve found great, non sexual massage places there. But nothing like Prime which I think is fairly luxurious, has very private rooms, with shower and all male masseurs that give excellent massages. Am I missing out on some interesting places in Pattaya?

I was wondering what are some Thai restaurants in Pattaya forum readers would recommend, especially in the vicinity of Jomtien, Boyztown and Sunee? I realize there are many, but I wonder if people have some favorites.

I agree completely with forky123's comment on Siamroads.com. I also hired one of their guides my first time to BKK and he showed me many things I would never have otherwise seen and saved me much time and money. He was also very cute and enthusiastic, which was also a plus.

The Amara hotel is top notch. I also highly recommend it.

A really had a giggle when I read this.

I was wondering what it’s customary to tip for a non sexual massage. For example at Prime in BKK. I think they state the minimum tip is 100 Baht. But that seems low to me, especially considering the outstanding quality of massage I have had there. Would tip amount in Pattaya be similar to BKK?

I have not stayed at the Poseidon. I stayed at the Agate 10 days this past December / January. I highly recommend it. Very nice facility. The staff was wonderful and very welcoming, all of them very gay friendly and several, probably, gay. I had several boys over, night and day. They were treated with respect. Certainly the majority of guests are straight but there were also several guys there with younger guys in tow, like me. Nobody seemed to care, at least not enough to make me ever feel uncomfortable.

I had a similar experience at the Amara. I stayed in a club room. Beautiful room and view. Their rooftop infinity pool overlooking the city is also quite wonderful, especially early morning when you have it to yourself. Intimate breakfast in the lounge with city view and great food choices. I also had a Thai friend come and go as he pleased, unquestioned by staff, during the day. But I don’t know what the reaction, if any, would have been if he’d come up for the night. I will certainly be staying there again, hoping they don’t discriminate. But I’ve understood it’s unusual for this category of hotel to object to joiners, though some do.

On a related note, but off topic for this thread, I had an unpleasant experience last January on a baht bus to Jomtien. A boy was holding my hand and a Russian family boarded. The father began screaming about us to his family at the top of his lungs. Hurling insults most of the trip. I have a vague understanding of Russian. At one point I was afraid his hysteria would turn violent.

Does anyone have experience with the Amara Hotel on Surawong? I have stayed there and liked it very much. I did not have any opportunity to bring overnight guests. But I will be able to on my next visit, hopefully. I was wondering if anyone knows what their joiner policy it. I emailed them asking, but could not get a clear answer.

For what it’s worth, another vote for Power Boys. While I was in Pattaya the first two weeks of January, I went to Power Boys several times. I ended up enjoying it most of the the few gogo bars I went to (Kawai, BBB, Nice Boys, Cupidol). Though I’m not finding fault with any of the places I mention. I liked them all and found boys there to my liking, especially at Cupidol. But Power Boys was my favorite (along with Good Boys...).

I'd also be interested in finding similar groups. I noticed with several bar boys and massage boys that I offed they spend a LOT of time on Facebook and Line groups. On Line groups, posting nude photos of themselves and, on Facebook, several photos of me with them (in public places). Not sure I'm entirely comfortable with that or understand why. Can anyone help with some Thai search words or group names? How to search for Line groups anyway? The moneyboys refused to tell me, in a round about way.
