Sometimes board members mention taking boys to cities outside of Thailand as a treat for them/us. How do you guys deal with the negative reactions, cold stares from the locals and especially the tourists? I often sometimes feel uncomfortable out and about with a boy in even in Thailand. No one assumes he’s my son/grandson. I’ve had boys hint at and ask me to take them to various SE Asian destinations and it’s sometimes tempting. But I’m not so sure how uncomfortable we might be made to feel. Do others have positive trip experiences?

I know. It's weird. Not to mention they have little key chain sort of thing they hang outside the door when the room is occupied at the shop we're talking about. But it happened. She was looking for the A/C remote control. I certainly won't forget it anytime soon. The boy really took it in his stride, though. The whole shop was giggling when we went downstairs. I was embarrassed and afraid he would be too, so I said something or other to him. He said to me, mai pen rai. The next day he was Lining me to come back. Yes, I'm a regular of his. But I had to wait a while before showing my face there again.

I agree completely. Male only staff is also my preference. But I do like to get a good massage from a qualified masseur. I have found that never really happens in the all male massage places that specialize in extras. Not that I don't also enjoy those shops, but it's not the same experience. If I want a "real"massage I want it to be done by a male in a "legit" shop. More times than not, extras are also offered, but that is not what I'm primarily looking for. In essence, what I would like to find in Pattaya is an equivalent to Bangkok Prime massage: all male, no hanky panky and a professional massage.

Thanks for the great report. I just wanted to chime in about Chivarome on 2nd Rd. I go there regularly when I'm in Pattaya. I think it's the only massage place I've been to where I've never had a disappointing experience. I find the guys are good looking and very good masseurs. I agree with the OP, the session usually ends up transitioning very naturally to a close up experience with the guy. Though, once I did have a bit of a startling experience, when one of the massage girls walked in on us while we were in a very compromising position. She let out a bit of a shriek. That was kind of a buzz kill. Anyway, the place definitely gets my vote.

I’ve been a frequent visitor of Good Boys Pattaya. I had many good times there this July. Lots of boys there then. I was there last night after a week or so absence and note the boys are really complaining of no customers. They had some quite substantial pent-up loads to prove it, and fewer boys than usual. They consistently have very cute, young, fit straight boys available there. They are always polite and eager to please. They really are often a more friendly bunch than I find in gogo or most host bars, though clearly not boyfriend material-to put it mildly. It’s the most amazing combination of rough trade guys who are sweet and sometimes even kissable. I realize it’s not the kind of bar that would appeal to everyone, but If you’re into this kind of fun, you should look in there. They are hurting for business, as are so many bars this low season. But if this one-of-a kind place goes south, it really would a loss, I know of no other place like it, anywhere.

This reminds me of some unexpected experiences I had a couple of years ago at a Chiang Mai male massage shop. I went twice, both times the mamasan assured me all his boys were straight, top only, no negotiating. I went with the cutest, smiling twink from the line up. After massaging for a while, and with no prompting whatsoever on my part, he made it very clear he would accept to bottom for me. He did so, valiantly, since I think it was a somewhat uncomfortable experience for him, which is also why I cut it pretty short. Anyway, I enjoyed thoroughly and went back a couple of days later. I then experienced a repeat of this exact same scenario with another "totally straight, totally top boy". So as you've both said, just need to see for myself and go with the flow. As always in LOS.

Thanks guys, for all this helpful information. Abomb sounds well worth a visit. Of course, from what I read here, I suspect I'll leave empty handed since the guys sound like they are all tops. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky.

oops. Sorry I posted in the wrong forum. Pretty counterproductive. But as you said, a few others seem to have seen the post and have already given some helpful info.

A very informative thread is currently saying some great things about Abomb Pattaya. I've never been in there. Maybe some forum members could give information on the bar. Most of the information I find on Abomb is from several years ago. What are the tip expectations of the boys there? Drink prices, off fee? I gather they've currently got a good crew of well built guys.

I have had my best ever massages at Prime massage Bangkok. The premises are very pleasant. The guys, generally, have excellent massage skills. I'm not interested in a happy ending. But I do like a massage by a handsome male. In Pattaya , I've happened upon a couple of guys who give good massages, at the legit places, where there are boys and girls outside. But I've yet to find anywhere that has masseurs providing consistently a top quality massage, not to mention good quality of premises. Sex and hand jobs seem easy to come by in Pattaya, but a good massage, I have found more elusive. That's why I posted my question. I'll have to try Healthland, as suggested by one poster.

Does anyone know of a shop in Pattaya that has male masseurs who can approximate the skills of the guys at Prime Bangkok. TBMI and Chevarone are the only two places that come to my mind, and they really don't offer the same Prime experience.

As I recall, the cross street was Merchant. The Millenium hotel is within a block or two of Lime Spa, also on 54th St. I hope we aren't derailing this thread. Certainly not my intention.

No wonder it seemed so reasonable, boy gave me a discount without realizing it, I guess! Or maybe the advertised 35000 Kyat is tip included?

I paid 17000 kyat to the spa, for "VIP" room, i.e. shower in room. Plus tip to boy. Total 47000 kyat approx. € 29 Seemed very reasonable to me.

As I recall, both boys asked for 40000 kyat and happily agreed to my counter of 30000 kyat. 1 hour. One of them insisted on a body to body massage. That was the first time ever for me. I enjoyed it. BTW, the key to finding the place, once you've found the street and block: look for a building named Triple Six Condo. Otherwise, no street numbers I or cab drivers were able to figure out.

Thanks for the very interesting trip report. I don't know if you are still Yangon. I was there twice recently and loved it. I agree, the poverty is grinding. I did find a very nice massage place. Staff was very welcoming. Very clean, in room shower. You pick the boys from an iPad. I was very happy with the very cute boys I chose on both occasions I went. The place was every bit as clean places I have been to in Bangkok and Pattaya. I'd call it mid market. The only downside is it is quite a challenge to find the place. Lime Spa. The downtown branch. I just returned from 4 weeks in Pattaya . After reading the reports here of an increase to 500B I was slightly apprehensive when I went back to Good Boys. I am pleased to report that the boys accepted my 300B tip just as the had in the past. I went several nights and they always lined up for me, as in the past. So I guess 300B is still ok. I didn't ask any questions, just handed them the 300B each time. There was no pushback.

You don't mean they boys in Nice Boys shoot their load right in the bar, Good Boys style? That would be a sight to behold.

Does anyone have experience with Uber in Pattaya? I use Uber-type car services in my country frequently also in Bangkok. I've used Uber a couple of times in Pattaya. The drivers always seem anxious to agree to a pick up point away from motorcycle or taxi congregation points. I'm at loss to figure out where a good pick up point is near BT and Sunee but away from taxi and moto guys. Any suggestions? BTW, I had one unfortunate experience where my driver was pulled over by the cops and hassled, at length. My young friend and I ended up getting out and taking a baht bus home.

I'm also interested in these condos. Where do you see them advertised as short term rentals?

Thanks for such a good trip report. I learned (here, a while back) that masseur can be chosen at Prime. Every time since, I have chosen using the iPad. Only been discreetly offered a hj once, I think. I declined. I never go for hj anyway, but for a, usually, great massage.

I was in Phuket last January. I had some great times at Naka massage and ended up taking one of their boys off for several days. He was great and well endowed. Always a plus, in my book. Otherwise, I found the bar scene pretty dismal, though much better than anything I could find in my home country... This thread is a great idea. Lots of useful information already. I was wondering again about off tips, specifically the difference between expectations in host bars vs. gogo bars. If, assuming others agree, the going rates in Bangkok would be approx. 2000 ST 3000 LT (Hotmale, Dreamboys, Freshboys, Classic), and in Pattaya approx. 1000 ST and 2000 LT (Cupidol, Power Boys, Nice Boys, DreamBoys), what would ST, LT expectations be at the host bars, Bangkok Hotmale2, etc. , Pattaya Jomtien, Sunee?
