  1. Haha whoa before we get carried away, let's not derail this thread. Let's keep it to Hua Hin info. But to briefly answer your queries: 1. Nothing has changed, and BurBoy is mentioned here as the BF because he is mentioned out of the context of a trip report. I am assuming not everyone has (or wants) to read my reports so the simplest way to describe him in this context is BF. What he really is to me is more complex, and "BF" probably can't fully encapsulate it. 2. Mexico is still alive and well in my heart, and I will be back there in 4 weeks. If only I can write about that. 3. Thailand is called LOS - "Land of Smiles", but it can also stand for "Land of Surprises". The country, and what it means to me, has evolved over the past month. That's why I have not given up on it, yet. OK that was already too long. lilbob69 please PM me or post a reply if you have further questions about my brief time in Hua Hin. And I encourage others to post about Hua Hin as well. Let's go back to what this board does best: as a forum for travel tips and sharing experiences.
  2. There is a Hua Hin trip report here somewhere, but this terse summary will do. My BF and a friend were there for three days, 2 days before Songkran last month. We wanted to have a short beach getaway that was relatively accessible from Bangkok, and the 2.5-3 hour drive was not too bad to get to and from there. We used Hua Hin Cab (http:\\huahincab.com - 1900 baht) to get to Hua Hin, and used Olay of Siam Roads on the drive back to Bangkok with some stops along the way (camels! seafood! temples! viewpoints!). FYI, Olay is so handsome and so friendly, he is highly recommended! Me and my friend were drooling the whole drive back to Bangkok. The beach is fine, yes way less commercial, but pretty good and not busy at all, and great to just lay there and enjoy the sun and the occasional dip in the Gulf of Thailand. The beachfront vendors provide loungers and reclining beds, as well as beers and lunch/dinner/snacks, which are reasonably priced. The (one) gay bar we tried to go to, New Guy Bar, was dead dead dead on a 10 PM Tuesday night. We didn't even stop by and just walked by it. So sorry can't tell you if it picks up later that night or if weeknights are bad. I didn't try Grindr because my BF (BurBoy) was there, but my friend was able to find a number of very cute free boys. Can't comment on the money boy Grindr scene. The seafood at the Night Market is great, though make the effort to find a restaurant that serves fresh stuff. We picked one at random and the seafood, while delicious, was not as fresh as we could hoped. The Night Market is cute and another way to spend the time in this early closing town. Bluport mall is a pleasant shopping experience - not too busy, relatively good restaurants and vendors, and a good place to get aircon. We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel Hua Hin, and it has a beachfront, but they don't have loungers closer to the beach. The main beach area with vendors are a pleasant 20 minute walk along the sand from the hotel. The hotel itself upholds most of what Intercon hotels are known for, so I recommend it. Finally, quoting a PM by a very helpful forum member: Some photos here - at loungers with some snacks and alcohol, the beachfront by Intercon, The sunrise (Hua Hin beach is East facing) and the moonrise:
  3. Haha. To add to this, there's some unnecessary bomb throwing in the discussions as well, especially in the past few months. It kind of takes away the joy from posting, at least for me. I know some people thrive on this environment, but not me. I would love to continue with the reports, and there is a lot to share, and still to come. We shall see. Congrats on hitting 100! This move by Scooby could usher in more activity from new/occasional posters, though from some of the posts, it can also lead to a lot of filler.
  4. LOL chill out man. Why does everything have to be like this with you? Instead of rehashing past follies, why don't you go to Bangkok? Get a boy or go to Babylon! Enjoy everything the city has to offer! And if you're in Bangkok next week, I'll be there! I'll buy you a beer or two .
  5. I'll bite, just this once tho. What I said was within the context of that infamous thread in question, and not a blanket statement about other fantasies in general.
  6. Lol. Why is it so hard to believe that samebb is good friends with the boy. I know samebb personally, and can vouch for him. And there is significant chatter offline about your post too. Unfortunately the loudest voices on this board are usually the most abrasive. I used to write a shit ton of content for this forum because I enjoyed sharing my stories, and stories that actually happened to me mind you. Not some cockamamie fantasy. Nowadays I think why even bother to do that if it just devolves into this. Ok we can go back to the bitching now.
  7. Ahhhh, sorry to tell you this but I will not be writing any trip reports going forward, at least this year. And its ironic because I've changed my mind about not returning to Bangkok after last Songkran. It turns out LOS is not finished with me yet. Still lots of adventures to look forward to.
  8. Love you too man. I know that your heart is in the right place and was there to save the day for the poor boy. I would definitely want you on my side if anyone ever wronged me. And more than that, your kindness has been repaid over and over this past day (judging from my Line messages from you). I'm so happy for you! Also, trolls are gonna troll. Don't give in. You are actually living your life well. Life can't get any better than that! It must be really lonely behind their keyboards. Finally: keep that seat warm for me. I can't believe I'll be back in less than three weeks. Can't wait man.
  9. Oh god, I guess the board is going through one of its troll cycles again. It was interesting to hear about this while it was happening actually. samebb was Lining me while the whole unfortunate set of events was happening. I'm glad that ultimately it was a happy ending (so to speak). I wonder if it was the last night of this guy's vacation, and he ran out of money and didn't mind burning bridges everywhere. No doubt Twilight now knows his name and face and won't be welcomed back.
  10. Good job mark311088! I taught you well lol.
  11. Last night said hi to paulsf and samebb at Hot Male bar, and then paulsf, a friend and BurBoy and I all went to Fresh Boys to take in the show. We rounded it out at DJ station and it was a fun night. Currently I am in Hua Hin with BurBoy and our friend. Just wanted to share this lovely moon rise over the Gulf of Thailand, and we are enjoying the relative calmness of this town versus that of Bangkok. Hope everyone forgets all the nonsense above and is safe for songkran!
  12. Well, when the official website of the Tourism Authority of Thailand advertises Songkran to white foreigners, including having this image of a white guy with a water gun in the website: then I'm pretty sure its a festival anyone (including ignorant white farang, I'm sure) can participate in. When I was in Yangon, they had the streets decked out in Christmas decor, but I am pretty sure they didn't know half of what the holiday was really about, being Buddhist and all. Who cares though? They got into their version of the Christmas spirit. I, for one, am looking forward to the festivities, subdued or not. And thanks guys for the PMs with well wishes for a nice trip. After being down to most of the buildup for this trip, I am slowly getting excited again. See you soon!
  13. Okay this makes me sad if it's true: Prawit calls for midnight revelry halt Maybe GCircuit is not affected because it is indoors? Maybe Silom will be the same as last year? Maybe I should stop reading Songkran news and just enjoy my vacation?
  14. LOL you guys, and those who PMed me about continuing the report, it really has to wait. I just came back from Mexico and in a few days jetting off to Thailand. If the Songkran week is eventful then I will probably write about it. But I probably won't be offing anyone and will have my hands full with BurBoy, so it might be even less interesting to the people here who (rightfully) expect more sexually stimulating reports.
  15. LOL I can't wait to join the brain dead. Songkran really isn't for everyone.
  16. Thanks for the little tidbit worldatlarge. I just got back this morning from Mexico City this morning and saw your post so I googled "Mexico City sinking" and read this New York Times article about it. I guess there goes my dream of buying property here. Maybe I'll look at Puerto Vallarta instead. It is interesting though that this year Easter, including "Sabado de Gloria" happens over Songkran. One of many parallels of Mexico and Thailand. Interesting parade. Is thaiboy.net a BBB Inn website? I do see Tao there. I guess I am not cancelling my plans and will be there in a few days. See you guys pretty soon...
  17. I intended this to just be a one time post because of user Mark311088 had his question about massage places. I think this trip report's time in the sun has set and I am dangerously close to my next BKK trip to be able to finish. I am also still in Mexico right now so won't have time to post anyway. But who knows, maybe I'll continue and finish this report when things calm down on my end. That's awesome GWMinUS! Thank you for the compliment! It truly is an amazing part of the world. I want to visit Vietnam and Laos next but who knows when i will be back to SE Asia after this April trip. But I hope that I too am going on adventures that are memorable enough to be vivid in my mind when I am 76 years old.
  18. I hope so paulsf! I am a little bit concerned with the online articles popping up like this one: “No Powder, No Water Guns, No Sexy Dress, and No Alcohol” for Songkran Festival This Year This one says Khao San is subdued, but at least has water gun fights: Songkran activities on Khao San to be subdued Please post more updates for those who are there, what is the latest scuttlebutt? It won't change my plans to come, but I will need to plan other activities if the usual celebration is subdued.
  19. You had amazing timing because the next unposted Day in that trip report was the Arena visit. I wouldn't have posted it otherwise. I suggest you go maybe Tuesday or Wednesday to DJ. By Thursday it might be too crowded and you can't even get in. At least just judging from last year. I'll be there sometime next week and will be staying till after Songkran. And yes, the legendary (and he is pretty legendary in my book) BurBoy will be with me, maybe even the whole time. I plan on a detour to one of the beaches before Songkran (possibly Hua Hin), but you can catch me in BKK for sure. I sent you a PM if you wanna reply with your availability. We can figure something out.
  20. True, but the sight of at least 80 boys on the stage to begin the night in all (fit) sizes and shapes is pretty impressive. Oftentimes the sheer breadth of choice one has in Dream Boy makes you realize that you are attracted to certain types that you've never even thought you were attracted to, once you see it in the flesh, in skimpy briefs, right in front of you. I began collecting twinks by the dozen when first visiting this bar, and you know my traditional type. Screw Boys - the lateness is a barrier for some, and having only 10 boys at a time is sometimes disappointing Fresh Boys - i love this bar, and is an excellent second choice.
  21. Sorry for the whiplash guys, but since newbie member Mark311088 was asking about Arena in his first post so I thought I'd post the next day of the Trip Report, which was after the Celebrity club visit: Day 11: Playing with Fire #2: Sneaking in an Arena Just some notes from last night at Celebrity Club. Our bill was 1850 baht, for the bottle of whiskey, mixers and some food. I took out 1000 baht, and 45, the older boyfriend of 21, paid the rest, including tip for our great waiter. We left around 3 AM, and 45 was telling me he was going to be tired tomorrow at work. I wished 21 and 45 well, and BurBoy and I bid them farewell. I am glad that clubs like Celebrity and Fake are there if one wants an alternative to gay entertainment from Soi Twilight or Soi 4. And FYI, this was the Facebook listing for last night’s activities. It shows the names of the singers from last night, and the prices of the drinks, as well as the promotion they had if you got there early. This was translated from Thai to English by Facebook, so the text is atrocious: Judging from the lack of English description in their Facebook Page, I am guessing Celebrity Club is still just marketed for Thais. It was a lot of fun though, and I am planning to come back this April, especially if they had Songkran-specific parties, like the foam party they had last year. And from a supposedly slow night last night, it was packed, so it remains popular, and most probably immune to the ebb and flow of high and low tourist seasons, since their main customer base is local. BurBoy got us a taxi and we got home around 3 AM. BurBoy insisted that we go by the 7-11 next to the condo building. We get a variety of frozen rice dishes, some chocolate and waters for the room. BurBoy tells me more about 21 and how he met him and his upcoming monk ordination. He also told me about the dynamic between 21 and 45. Very interesting friends. I will be meeting more of his friends in the coming days. We shower before bed, of course, and then sleep away our drunkenness. BurBoy wakes me up. I look at the clock and it was 10 AM. “I need go embassy na!” BurBoy tells me. I forgot about that. He goes to the bathroom and turns on the shower to heat the water. He pops his head out of the bathroom and tells me “Quick na!” I laugh and go to the bathroom to pee first and then join him in the shower. He had a mission today, and wild horses can’t keep him from getting to the embassy before 2 PM. We get dressed (both shorts and t-shirt) and off we went. On the way he asks me “Breakfast now?” I ask back if he wanted to go to the embassy first and then eat later. “No, eat now. I hungry.” I guess hunger still trumped the wish to get a passport. We look around and see a nice restaurant called Little Home by the Chong Nonsi BTS station. It was #3,907 out of 9,483 Bangkok restaurants on TripAdvisor, so it middle of the pack with the reviewers. At 11 the restaurant was almost empty, on a Wednesday late morning in between the breakfast and lunch crowds. The menu looks interesting, and had extensive English language descriptions, so this must be a favorite among tourists: BurBoy gets a bacon breakfast sandwich and I get the breakfast plate with pancakes and croissants. No iced coffee sadly: The food was standard but satisfactory. And cheap too, I only paid 413 baht. BurBoy puts a 20 baht tip with my cash payment, and we were on our way to the embassy. On our walk I tell BurBoy that I will not be waiting on him at the embassy, and instead I will get some money changed and also a massage. He was OK with this, and we decide to part ways on Sathorn Road. I didn’t manufacture this alone time, but I certainly wanted to take advantage of it. I did tell him I was getting a massage, but I wasn’t specific with BurBoy. This was my chance to check out a massage place to further along my massage experience. Arena was just up the road on Silom from where I was, and it was almost 12 noon. I check the Arena Massage Facebook page and see that their hours are 12 noon to 11 pm, so I can check out if there were boys up early. I head over to the direction of Silom Rd and headed over to Silom Plaza. The first time I checked out Arena, which was in 2015, I wasn’t sure if it was actually at Silom Plaza. I knew it was on the 3rd Floor but unsure where it was once I was there. No obvious signage, no blinking neon sign, just a non-descript door to the massage place. Right now thankfully I knew where I was going. When I got to the elevators at the back, I waited a little bit, sitting on the bench that was close to the elevators, to see if BurBoy was going to Line me, as well as to kill some time so as to not be too early for opening. BurBoy was not Lining so I just played with my phone. I see an Asian guy in his 30s take the elevators. I am assuming he was going to the same place. I wait for 5 more minutes (letting the guy make his pick of the boys), and then I take the elevator to the 3rd floor. I head over to the door to enter the massage place. I open the door and see about 10 guys laying around the couch, or working out in the equipment to the left, or standing around and talking. They see me and immediately present themselves to me. One of the guys goes to me and sits me down the couch. He then calls on the “captain”, who goes over to me and hands me a laminated(?) sheet with their treatments and prices. I found this one their Facebook, and I would imagine what I read was something similar: I didn’t know how much time I had before BurBoy was done with the Myanmar Embassy, so I made it simple: I chose a one-hour oil massage. The captain then calls on the boys to line up, and asks me to choose a boy. I always find this a little bit awkward to do. How do I choose the right kind of boy? Do I use the time-tested criteria of choosing the guy who smiles at me? At least half of them were. So I look at the faces. Two-thirds were what I would consider handsome. That cut it down to 6. Now I get really superficial. I look at the abs. Three boys had unbelievable abs. Ugh, so it was down to them. Now it’s time to just use my gut. I see this one guy. Classic Thai good looks, nice smile, out of this world abs and muscular arms supported by a lean-muscular frame, and cute facial hair. The darker skin was what made it for me, so I pick him. Its funny that I chose someone solely based on looks, and not massage ability, though I guess this skill is harder to gauge until after you get the massage. He disappears in the back and then reappears with some oil and towels. He motions me to take the stairs to our massage room. He escorts me to the room. It was fairly spartan, with few to no décor, a massage table in the center, and a shower at the other end of the room. He asks me to shower first, so I disrobe, carefully folding my clothes on the side table right next to the shower, and get in the makeshift shower. There was a heater with the shower thank goodness, and I use the liquid soap provided. The massage guy leaves for a moment while I shower, but got back before I finished showering. He hands me the towel on the side table, and I dry my body. He motions for me to lie on the massage table. It wasn’t one of those massage tables with a hole to rest your face on, but this bed looked more hygienic than the one I was on in Mandalay. The lighting was perfect, just dim enough to make the ambiance sensual, but bright enough that you can see the amazing body of the guy. He immediately disrobes, and I see his huge uncut cock swinging freely. This was going to be good. What follows is a great massage. It was so relaxing, and he was very good. I almost forgot that I was with a hot guy I am supposedly need to lust after. I had my eyes closed most of the time, enjoying the massage. At some point I felt a soft thing rest on the palm on my hand. I open my eyes and see that he was resting his cock on my palm. I squeeze it and he cracks a smile, but he didn’t skip a beat with massaging my back. At some point he sits on my butt, while he massages my back with pressure. I can feel his cock rest on my back. This was amazing. He asks me to turn around. He massages me for a while till he focused on my cock. It was hard right away because of the attention. I grab his cock and made it hard. That was an impressive sight to see. He strokes my cock, my balls, grazes my hole, and teases my thighs and tummy. It didn’t take much, I cum like a gusher. He was really good. I laugh and tell him he gave me a really good massage. He thanks me and I sit up. He motions me to shower again, this time he joins me. He gives me a soap down, and was very thorough with soaping up all the oil off, including the nooks and crannies. He soaped himself up as well. When we both rinsed off, he toweled me dry. He was a full service guy. We both put back on clothes (me with my t-shirt, undies and shorts, him with just his tight pants, as he was shirtless), and then talk for a bit. He asks me the usual things, and then tells me that if I wanted him to massage me at my condo, and stay over for long time, he was available. I put my hands around his waist and pull him clothes. He was so handsome. His smile was great. I asked him how old he was, he said 30. I would’ve guessed a little older, but I didn’t care. We hug, he kisses my cheek. Then he gives me a light kiss in the lips. That was nice. I reach into my pocket and give him 1200 baht. He wais in thanks. He takes his phone and puts up Line and asks me to put in my Line ID. I do and he sends me a message. I look at my phone and there was about 10 messages from BurBoy. Was he looking for me? Was he worried? …
  22. Awww shucks. Another satisfied customer . I'm glad I've inspired a number of you guys to take the plunge. I'm only paying it forward, as the guys that have come before me have inspired me to take the risk and give in to Thailand. You have inspired me to post the next chapter in my trip report. As luck would have it, it is about my one and only trip to Arena. Look for it in the next few minutes. DJ Station is gonna be insanely packed on the days leading up to GCircuit. Last year, the Wednesday and Thursday before the GCircuit nights had DJ Station super packed. Me, my BF and friends could not even manage to walk through the crowd as we were all packed like sardines in there. Everyone was in town for the parties and Songkran so that week essentially you'll have a very very crowded DJ. Dream Boy is the ideal starter bar. Helpful mamasans, decent but tame numbers, and a wide variety of type of boys can get you warmed up for the more specialty bars in the city. Tawan is always a classic but can be a hit or a miss at times. Jupiter has nice visuals and occasionally good for offs but you'll have less probability of success there as a beginner. I'm recommend the other Soi Twilight bars if you feel adventurous, but I feel your type is more muscular boys so be mindful that most have twinks. PM me and maybe we can work something out. Awesome! We will remember this promise in due course! Pay it forward.
  23. Thanks! I never left! I just went on a posting vacation for a bit. Plus I was busy hiding out in Mexico. I'd caution any newbie to sex tourism to try out Mexico as their first foray into it. Thailand is still the tops in terms of Sex Tourism and Mexico has totally different way of getting it and doing it. It's still kind of dangerous to roam around the streets late at night if you don't know where to go. But resort cities, like Puerto Vallarta and Cancun though, are completely safe at night, if you stay within the tourist zones. Luckily Zona Romantica, where Vallarta's gay district is, and where the two male strip clubs are, is super safe. BUT, again as I said, if you manage to crack the code, and know how to enjoy this place, the variety of guys you get to choose from are simply mouth-watering. And for someone like me who likes a lot of passion in their love making, the latino heat that these guys are known for, is evident and super addicting once you get a taste of it. One poster who I've been talking to told me that Mexico is like reverse of Thailand. Thailand has a preponderance of twink types, and the Tawan types are the rare breed of moneyboy. In Mexico, its the opposite, the Tawan or Jupiter type (probably the idealized Tawan type - a hunk with definition and vascularity, not the bloated steroid bodies in Tawan that I've seen) is more common than twinks, if you are looking for moneyboys. The twinks exist, believe me. And they are usually free! The only way I know how to write. Thanks! Less than two weeks till I am in Bangkok. I can't believe it.
  24. Oh wow now I remember this poster. He went on a racist pro-colonialism slightly anti-asian tirade towards the end of this thread: http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/10382-do-we-go-to-thailand-because-we-do-not-settle-for-less/ What's funny is I think he is not a troll and he is really this obtuse. I can't stand people like this.
  25. I just read this article on Coconuts: Khaosan Songkran to happen without water guns, sexy clothes or booze If this is the case, will Silom be next? I wonder what Songkran will look like without these three things. Just fully clothed sober people getting wet from big hoses from water tanks? Kind of odd. Any word from forum members who are in Bangkok now?
