  1. Got a quick question for you guys: looking at my options tonight. Which boy bar has a fucking show? Is there one past midnight? Or just at the 10:30?
  2. Thanks! I’m so out practice with Pattaya that I didn’t know it had Grab. Will give that a go. Can you use grab to get to Pattaya from Bangkok? Or is that too cost prohibitive? Good point. Hilton might be my choice, and it being walkable is good. I’ll try to write a short report if anything interesting happens. Thanks for confirming my Hilton choice. Roof top restaurant definitely seals the deal. top notch advice, thanks! Didn’t know this was an option and will definitely try Koh Larn out! follow up qesition: which are the top gogó bars in Bangkok and Pattaya right now?
  3. So gone are the days when I would spend a week or two in Thailand, but I will be in Thailand for a few days next week. So if people can help a long-time poster out with some questions, I would be grateful! 1. Anyone in Bangkok the same time who want to meet up? PM me. 2. I'll be staying in Pattaya for a few days, and not looking to stay close to where the action is, and I am looking to more upscale hotels that have beach access. How does one get around Pattaya if I am staying at the Intercontinental or the Hilton? I've always stayed close to Boyztown so never really thought about how to do this. 3. Are there any good beaches in Pattaya? Is that a stupid question? LOL Thank you! Incidentally, I was in Bangkok earlier this year for a few days, and I had two amazing short time sessions from a boy in Dream Boy and another from Hot Male. I paid 2500 baht for both. Dare I say it, but the Dream Boy sex was reminiscent of how the Brazilians do it, so it was particularly memorable.
  4. I don't know @floridarob, this usual complaint is always put on this board. The standard complaints of "I remember when it was 500 baht for short time!" or as @vinapu puts it: "the water was wetter in my day", is running against the same cross currents as previous punters have seen. At some point certain realities need to be put into consideration. Maybe 150 reais is not worth it to them anymore. We complain when a garoto de programa is late for an appointment with us, saying that tardiness just does not fly if you are in a first world country, but if they put the same value on their time by putting a "por hora" rate that puts more value on their time (like in first world countries), we complain as well. I've probably been known to pay more maybe, in this board and in the sauna, and I don't mind that. I'd rather pay 300 reais for mind-blowing sex (and i've had that experience in Lagoa when I was there recently), that paying 150 reais to a reluctant boy who thinks its not worth his time and goes through the motions. As a result I think the boys seek me out in the sauna, and try to deliver almost everything I would want in a programa, because they all talk to each other as you know, and they know what they are getting from me. Even if I'm always in Brazil, my time is short, and I have no patience, nor the time, to going through a bad programa. I know a boy who is probably one of the top earners in Lagoa, and he said 150 reais has not been the average rate for a few years now. He told me Lagoa was super busy last Friday, and he knew it was gonna be full of boys and clients, and most (not all) of the clients would be offering 150 reais. When he saw this he just turned around and left and got some work online, which to him was a better use of his time. He has his reasons that he still like going to Lagoa (more volume business and makes his daily routine more manageable than the 24/7 nature of online work), but sometimes it is not worth enough for him to go. And of course, the saunas outside of the Lagoa-117-Pointe nexus will still have the sub-150 rate that is preferable, but that has their own downsides (quality of boys or saunas not as good etc), but it is still possible to have the "Brazil Classic" experience that we all look back with nostalgia. Just my 2 cents, and YMMV.
  5. Intriguing predicament @Canadianbtmguy. Did you end up helping the guy? I’ve been asked to help with airfare throughout the years by GPs and never really did help anyone if I wasn’t in the same trip. Seems like he is desperate. And is he staying in an airport while he waits for help? Winter in Europe can’t be a comfortable climate for a Brasileiro.
  6. Whoa a (rare) complement from @scott456! I agree with @scott456 on this one. Money helps a lot, but GPs will account also for your perceived appearance and demeanor. I’ve had many GPs tell me they have refused clients over bad breathe or severe body odor, or any number of other physical attributes or traits they deem as unacceptable to work with. But money can only go so far. I know of a GP who was offered 2000 reias a day for 2 weeks to stay with a client, but quit after 4 days (and got compensated for those 4 days), because the client was super demanding and treated him like an object (and did other stupid things I will not mention). We forget sometimes that this is more or less just work for the boys, and is not always a good time for them, even if it’s a good time for us. It’s hard to be with someone disgusting or disagreeable for 24 hours a day, even if you are well compensated, and especially if the boy has other options, even for less money, but treated much better. @jaymelayu please let us know how you fare! I am sure you will be fine!
  7. Lucky you! I’ll never trade the feeling of my first time in a sauna in Brazil. If you’re interested in knowing how that went, it’s all here: Anyway, to your question, yes mobile phones are allowed in the saunas so you’ll have that to help you. And thank goodness for Google Translate! How did we ever survive without it? I do have a few tips for you to make those transactions with these hot men a little bit easier. This definitely helped me starting out. After that though I’ve decided to be fluent in the language and that was one of my best decisions I’ve ever made: 1. Take the time to learn some basic words: Even if you will rely on your Google Translator, knowing some words in Portugues will help. Which words? I’d go to YouTube to find out which words to learn. This is a good video that gives you the basic phrases as a tourist. It’ll also get your ears used to hearing how Brazilian Portugues sounds like: So try to brush up on your Obrigados (thank you) and Ois (hello) and Desculpas (sorry) before you go. 2. Know the basic Portugues sex words and phrases. Simply putting “ I’m a top” in Google Translate will result in a slightly different thing than what you intended. So knowing the basic sex terms in Portugues will definitely come a long way. Phrases like: Ativo - Top Passivo - Bottom Versatil - Versatile Ativo liberal - Someone who prefers to top sometimes will bottom under the right circumstances (this is incidentally my sweet spot and my preference of guy in the saunas) Beija bem? - Do you kiss well? Você faz o que? - What do you do/what sexual positions do you do? Quanto? - How much? Chupar - suck Vai me comer? - Will you fuck me? Gozar/Com gozar - to Cum, with cum (sometimes a negotiating tactic) There are a lot of more words to mention, but this should get you started. 3. When using Google Translate, keep it simple. One mistake people often make while using Google Translate is the usage of complex sentences with colloquialisms and jargon that translate differently from what you mean. For example, let’s say your new Brazilian boyfriend invited you to a party tonight. You just realized that your butt is sore due to the non-stop pounding you just received from that 10 inch dick. You take you phone and type in the sentence “Can I get a raincheck? meaning that you can’t go now but would want to be invited the next time he goes. The translation will be wrong of course, as raincheck is a colloquialism that means something else when directly translated. But just putting in something as simple as “Next time" is good enough to convey the point across. Complex sentences with multiple clauses will more than likely confuse the algorithm of the translator, resulting in garbled translation. Break it up into simpler and more digestible phrases will come a long way. 4. When negotiating price, best way is through your phone. If you’re not familiar on how to count in Portugues, best way to show how much one is willing to pay or to get paid, is to use your phone’s calculator app and putting in the amount to show them, or for them to show you. Sometimes boys will try to say the amount in English but it is sometimes wrong. It’s easy enough to say duzentos when saying 200 reais but when in doubt, use your calculator. Also the calculator’s font size is big enough to get the point across. 5. Don’t use your phone to translate when outside Using your phone to translate inside the sauna or bar or restaurant or hotel room is fine because it is secure. But say you and you paramour are walking hand-in-hand on Rua Augusta and you had the urge to tell your boy how much you love the feeling of his cum shooting inside your butt, but you don’t know how. Don’t just whip pout your phone in the middle of the street and start typing away on Google Translate! That’s the easiest way to get your phone snatched. It can wait till you are inside where it is more secure. I think I’ve covered most of what I feel will help you. In time you will learn the language through immersion, if you are open to it of course. I feel that my experience in Brazil has improved 100 times more significantly by learning the language and connecting with the people. The cellphone is a blessing and a curse: it allows us to communicate with people that we otherwise will have difficulty understanding, but at the same token, having a cellphone with you at all times makes the experience weird and impersonal, at least for me. Besides, it’s better to put down that cellphone to two-hand that 10 inch monster you just paid duzentos reais for.
  8. I am sounding like a broken record but... My last Thailand trip was at Songkran last April and, to be honest, I've only had free Grindr sex due to the throngs of available asian (and white!) gay tourists in town for Songkran and GCircuit. This was my first Thailand trip ever where I did not off anyone from the bars or elsewhere. i didn't need to, and to be honest, I didn't want to. Another story for another time. But when I am in Brazil, my sexual encounters are probably half paid from the saunas and half from Grindr. I like paid encounters because of the aforementioned instant gratification and also getting to do (sex) things that you can't just do to anyone with someone who probably would be hotter than your normal Grindr fare. But sometimes Grindr is the only (viable) option at times. I was in Buenos Aires recently and trolling for paid guys in the sites seem to be super cumbersome, and the free market was, to me, surprisingly booming and amazing, teeming with very cute guys that are relatively very available right now. As long as I can afford it I'll always have paid sex. And as long as I can get it I'll always have free sex. TLDR: I like sex.
  9. I would never ever understand certain people's propensity to be adversarial every single turn instead of being helpful and respectful of other's views, even if the agreement isn't there. There is always a way to disagree without being disagreeable, and the message will be received much better this way instead of having this unnecessary bullshit. Ultimately, this says more about the poster and his (online) character, than the poster's intent to prove his or her point. But what can I say, I am an eternal optimist, and will always think that all people are capable of kindness and consideration towards other people. At the end of the day, we are all human beings, with our own struggles and concerns, and showing a little kindness towards other people isn't that fucking hard.
  10. You’re welcome @12is12 and @BlkSuperman for the kind words. I don’t alway go to this forum to post (too much life to live), but on some rare downtime I try to be as helpful as possible to new travelers, as I have gotten valuable advice on the world from like-minded people on here. I’m just trying to pay it forward. Re: São Paulo pride. I’ll probably post about my recent Brazil experiences anyway, so watch out for that. If not, I’ll put those thoughts in this thread. And @BlkSuperman, I have yet to visit DR and have read your invaluable posts about the country. Maybe I’d be lucky enough to hang out with you when you go one day.
  11. Same Ramiro. Was nice to see him at 555 on that one Sunday. Glad he found a landing spot after he quit (or was fired? Not sure) 117. I wonder if he can turn 555 around. He is certainly trying: Europe was fun, but I just can’t stay away from Brazil, so for now, I’m spending my pennies here. His name is Renan Kalany, and he has a huge following on Insta and has an Only Fans. I’ve been an admirer of his ever since I met him in Santos, São Paulo a few years ago, as he was a friend of a friend. When I met him he looked younger than his pics I had to ask for ID. And that’s all I’m gonna say about him. Here’s some pics for your viewing pleasure. I made him my profile pic because he is an intersection of what guys here on the forum like: a cute hairless young twink, who just happens to be Brazilian. So his dick is (much?) bigger than the average Thai money boy:
  12. Insight on months… an interesting question. In the past I’ve always thought that winter is worse than summer due to the weather outside, but recently I’ve seen really busy days in July (winter) and some slow days in January (summer), and that depends on what day of the month it is more than anything. But if there are special occasions throughout the year you should look out for, here are my observations based on past experience. Let me just preface this by saying that special occasions (holidays) bring out revelers to SP or Rio from other parts of Brazil to commemorate the occasion, and this includes boys who think those revelers and foreign tourists will bring in more business, and thus program their visits around the sauna to earn extra cash. February to beginning of March (variable due to Ash Wednesday timing): Carnaval 2023 Carnaval was out of this world due to no Carnaval in 2021 and 2022 due to the pandemic and all that pent up energy was both seen on the streets, the parties, and the saunas. I’ve been to Carnaval in Rio, São Paulo and Salvador in the past 6 years, and all those times, the saunas were packed with both regular and new boys who I’ve never seen before and never seen since, coming from all over. I remember in 2019 I invited some (non-GP) SP friends over to Rio to stay at my apartment, and even they turned to the saunas to earn some pocket change since business was good. I was even on hand to translate for some gringo clients. Fun times. Last weekend of June: São Paulo Gay Pride 2023 was my first Gay Pride in SP, and even tho I was in SP mainly for the pride march (which is a story in and of itself, maybe a future post), the saunas were full of first-time and part-time GPs just in town to take advantage of the increased gay tourism Pride offered. I probably met with 4 GPs who I have never seen ever in Lagoa, who added a needed variety of what Lagoa usually offered. And I never saw those 4 ever again after that week. Last week of December to early January: Christmas and New year (réveillon) Just with the previous two entries, more tourism means more business for boys, so other boys come to take advantage. SP and Rio usually are pretty good, though Rio gets the advantage for a better New Year’s eve celebration in Copacabana than with SP. Just be warned, the saunas may be closed on Christmas and New Year’s eve, but after Christmas is a start of a busy week or two at the saunas. From my archives: Other good dates when saunas have extra boys, based on Holidays: Tiradentes Day (April 21), Independence Day (Sep. 7), Our Lady of Aparecida’s Day (Oct. 12) etc. I was in Rio on an Independence day that fell on a Friday, and the gay section of Ipanema beach was paaaacked cheek to jowl with Brazilian and foreign hottie gay men. Some were later found in the saunas too. Outside those dates, I’d say its still a good time to go, since the need for money is eternal. , And because of the relatively strict child support laws in Brazil, you will always find that special guy who is in need of some extra cash in the sauna.
  13. See my post above. My opinion: too much hassle to get your own SIM card with just a short trip. It’d be much easier to get GoogleFi, or if you have certain plans with AT&T, you get free roaming in Latin America, including Brazil. Chili Peppers in São Paulo is a good option. You will have no problems getting laid there as they cater to all types. You probably won’t encounter the adonises of the GP saunas tho if you are not one yourself (as it is not a pay for play sauna), but it is a fun distraction regardless. Just be careful, it is in a sketchy neighborhood. Don’t pull out your cell after getting off the Uber, and call the Uber in the waiting area in the sauna till it arrives. I don’t do poppers, so can’t help you there. I wont chance putting it on your luggage, as the Alfândega might get you at the airport (tho rare). If you get on GRindr, certain sellers will approach you if you are a gringo. Can’t say this is reputable, but there is that chance. The Heritage allows GPs from my experience, and very walkable to the sauna, so good choice.
  14. Re: the original question… my answer is always: I’m currently in Rio, and I was just in SP, and have been alternating both cities (since 2018? Has it been that long) ever since I’ve decided to give Brazil a try. If it were me, and I just had one week to spend in Brazil a year, I’d fly into São Paulo and arrive on a Friday and spend the weekend there, and hop on a plane (or a bus) to Rio during the week, and finish out your trip back in SP for another weekend. I have found that certain days are always busy (Friday and Saturday, for example), but Mondays seem to be weirdly amazing as well. My take, from recent weeks being here: Fridays: Lagoa (SP) is better than the Rio saunas (117 or 202 are both good as well, but sometimes oddly a toss up, as one is better than the other, or both the same on Fridays) Saturdays: Lagoa (SP) is oddly better than any of the Rio saunas on Saturdays. Why is that? Sundays: Slow day, but an odd choice would be 555 in São Paulo. Ramiro is there now and they are trying to get Sunday to happen for 555. Lagoa is horrendous on Sundays with karaoke (ugh why have this), and recently has started to empty out after 7 PM due to 555 having bingo nights on Sunday. Rio has 117 as an only option, and even then it is slow. Mondays: Point (Rio) is oddly good on Mondays. Lagoa (SP) is also good. I find this odd but maybe boys get more day workers come to the sauna? 117 is closed. Meio Mundo is an option in Rio, but it is not for me. Tuesdays: 117 (Rio) would be your pick here. Point is closed. Lagoa is slow. Wednesdays: Point (Rio) is a hit or a miss on this day but mostly a hit. 117 is super slow, and Lagoa will be better. Thursdays: Lagoa will be infinitely better than the Rio saunas, but slow(ish) day in general as people are saving their pennies and penis for the weekend. Also, it will depend on what day of the month you spend your week in these two cities. The boys rely on local customers as the foundation of their business, and generally Brazilians spend less money towards the end of the month, so boys tend to not be at the saunas towards the last week of the month. Things pick up at the first of the month, and really peak after the 7th of the month as rent is due usually on the 10th. Not a hard and fast rule of course but something to keep in mind. If you find yourself at Lagoa on the 10th of the month on a Saturday, count yourself lucky, as the boy and the clients are all there on top of each other at the saunas. As always, your mileage may vary, and my experience may be a little bit different than yours @dallastexas. I also spend way too much time in Brazil in general, but judging from the experiences you have expressed here, you know why I spend a lot of my pennies and penis in this wonderful country.
  15. Familiarity breeds contempt as they say. After that first sensational programa with your paramour, the second, third, etc times might feature less fireworks than you would hope. And you might keep on trying, to see if you can recreate the magic of the first time. And for all you know he might be trying as hard as the first time, but because you already know his magical moves, you might think the sex is getting worse. It might be getting worse, or maybe because you are less wowed than the first time. A simple "no" the next time is easy enough to say. Hard to say it maybe if you've developed a fondness for a guy you've been intimate with, but 9 times out of 10 they will understand. You are not the first person to do this to them. On average, they hear "no's" more times in a night than "yeses". They expect to hear this from you eventually. I admit that sometimes, when I have an amazing first programa with a GP, I do an "afterglow" programa the very next night. Sometimes the sex is better, sometimes it is worse. And I usually almost always say no the third night, since like @BlkSupermanhas said so eloquently, variety is the spice of life, and new penis is almost always better penis.
  16. Fixed your post title for you: The Begging Culture of Brasilian Sex Tourism Thailand, Colombia, Brazil, Spain, Switzerland etc... The Money Beg™ is a thing. You kind of have to get used to it. You can avoid all of this with a simple "no". If they insist, be firmer with the "no". Unless you have soft spot for the guy, I don't think this is an unreasonable response. If they really insist, I archive their chats on WhatsApp to mute them. Out of sight, out of mind. Early in my Brazil Tourism life I did ask certain GPs why certain guys do this. They say don't take it personally. They've probably have asked money from countless other former johns at the same time as they asked you. Rent is due after all. Sending these money begs are free for them, and even if only one john replied with a "yes" and sends them the money, then their money beg was worth it.
  17. This is smart, especially with crime these days. I am currently in Brasil for Carnaval and I don’t even bother bringing my phone with me if I am going to walk in the street to attend a bloco street party. I do have a spare small android phone with me (Samsung S10e, 2019 release that had decent specs and still a decent camera) if my (fully insured) Iphone gets lots or stolen, but this is not just for Brazil but all my travels, as it is smart to have a spare as you don’t know what will happen and buying a phone overseas can gets expensive. Android does have less status than an Iphone in Brasil, so ultimately probably less likely to get stolen, but I think that won’t matter as thieves are desperate. Yes I was sad when Uber Eats left, but have found iFood to be a worthy alternative. I’ve been able to get my Chase Visa and Barclay US Mastercard credit cards to work with iFood, but not my Citicard or others. Very handy when it is 2 AM and your boy for the night suddenly gets the munchies post-coitus, and most restaurants are closed. There are a lot of currency exchanges, even on immediately after passing immigration, and then after you exit customs in Terminal 3 in Guarulhos. I try not to use them tho. High fees. I’ve used my fee-free ATM and the exchange rate is almost at par with market. I tend to use the “24 Horas” ATMs which are abundant in airports, metro stations in Rio and SP, and some upscale supermarkets. I’ve used Viator in Brazil and it was 100% safe and you get access to English speaking tour guides. Never used AirBNB Experiences anywhere but I am sure they tap into the same tourist companies. Protip: If you develop a good rapport with a boy in Brasil, why not let them be your guide? YMMV. From what I know you can ask the drug stores in the airports if they have SIM cards, but obviously the support and help with installs will be limited. Best bet is to do this at the big malls and go one of the big cellphone operators. I personally use a US SIM with unlimited international data coverage. There are esim options that you can download before you go to Brazil, but I have no experience with them. Yes this is the same in Brazil. I’m never in a towel and I always have some loose bills in the pocket of my shorts and can also pay guys that way. I am sure you will have a blast! Please let u know how you do and share your experiences here. I am sure everyone will appreciate a newbie’s perspective.
  18. OMG @gayinpattaya! Please do introduce him to me when I am there next month. I have a soft spot for Burmese boys, as my previous trip reports can attest, and throughly enjoyed my time in Myanmar a couple of years ago. Send me a personal message! Coincidentally, my Brazilian friend Tiago, who is now working at a Muay Thai gym, told me that the owner of the gym is fond of ”adopting” strays to stay at the gym if he can see some potential in the person, whether he sees a good fighter, or a good worker to work around the gym. The newest “stray” at the gym is an 18 year old Burmese boy who has potential to be a good MMA fighter. Tiago of course has sent me photos of the boy (not sexy photos of course, just normal ones), and the boy is hot and super ripped and in tremendous fighting shape. So. Many. Abs. Not sure if there is a possibility for me there, but I do appreciate Tiago sharing these tidbits with me when he knows I’d be interested. Thanks for the great intel, @Min. I think I’ll bite the bullet and choose the Baywalk or Aya, and maybe book a night or two at a fancier hotel further away closer to the beach to get the resort atmosphere I may need, instead of the Avani, since it is not by the beach. Nice to know that those three properties seem to be more or less fine for our purposes.
  19. @12is12 haha you're probably right. I probably should start a new thread about my inquiry. i thought I'd just ask it in this thread because it is about Pattaya and a newbie would want to know about it too. I just got lazy lol. Though yes, I don't like hijacking a thread not my own, with my own shit (like I am doing right now lol). Maybe I'm just too cautious that's why the "sorry". It's been 5 plus years since my last Pattaya escapade. I'll likely go back next month. I'll be open to buying a beer or two with any forum members who will be there too!
  20. Hijacking this thread about Pattaya sorry, but I am in the planning stages of a Pattaya trip soon and looking for hotel options. As I try to quickly requalify for American Airlines Exec Platinum Status for 2023, I wanted to use Rocketmiles.com to book my hotel that will enable me to get the Loyalty Points I need to get me over the line to get over 200,000 points. (Background here for the curious: https://thepointsguy.com/news/rocketmiles-vs-booking-direct/) Using this website does limit my options, and if I was wanting to stay within sane walkable distance from Boyztown Pattaya, it looks like I have 3 main choices: $43/night - Baywalk Residence (1500 miles) $44/night - Aya Boutique Hotel (2000 miles) $83/night - Avani Pattaya Resort (2500 miles) Anyone have any insight on any of these three hotels? I have stayed at the Baywalk and Aya before, but this was 2015-2016 time, so things may have changed since then. I am curious about the Avani Resort, pricier and arguably the least miles for the buck, but I wouldn't mind a little bit of luxury if its worth it. Obviously the joiner situation needs to be liberal. Thanks!
  21. So close and yet so far… I was writing this trip report in a lull in my travel schedule. And I almost made it to my final posts but not before I started traveling again. Let’s see when I can finish the posts. In the meantime, a view from my seat today. Can anyone guess where I am and where I’m going? @floridarob you already know the answer.
  22. Having met @Latbear4blk a few year ago, and if his situation hasn’t changed, I’d say that his time is indeed limited to these two weeks. I’ve actually done week-long Thailand trip all the time back in the day. I’d leave Thursday night from California and get to Thailand early Saturday morning, when I then do an early (pre-arranged) early check in with the hotel (usually Crowne Plaza), and then sleep off the flight till 8 PM, then after a great shower, have dinner and then hit the bars at 9 PM, for the shows at 10:30 PM, and I’ll have a boy with me at midnight, and actually taking advantage of the still being in the USA time zone that I will have the energy to fuck all night. Indeed, jet lag is a bitch, but it doesn’t hit me till after lunch, so I’d usually book my tours and sightseeings at 8 AM or earlier if possible. This way, I can tire myself enough to actually sleep in the afternoon, and I will have skipped the heat that usually gets more intense later in the day. Lather, rinse, repeat, until I am adjusted to the time zone. That is usually Tuesday, Wednesday time, when I can then do full-day tours, and with boy bars usually less populated on weekdays, I can opt to skip or spend time with a long time boy. Then when the weekends hits again, I’ll try to get back to the American time zone by sleeping in the afternoon again and hitting nightlife till the wee hours of the morning. And at the night before my flight back to California, I usually don’t sleep, and just spend my few remaining baht to enjoy my threesome/foursome/my house-ful of boys till my morning flight back on Sunday beckons. The flight is usually 13+ Hours back, so I can make my adjustments then, and then I’ll arrive early to late afternoon Sunday in California, where the wear and tear of travel catches up to me, but I force myself to sleep no earlier than 8 PM so I can adjust quicker. @Latbear4blk either time window is great and I think you’ll be getting to Thailand with other gringos with similar times off, and that it’ll make your trip better. I doubt it, but if your Spring Break runs through April 13, I’d suggest going during Spring Break to spend Songkran in Bangkok, since Songkran is amazing and you will need to experience it at least once in your life. I know some here hate being doused with water in inoppurtune times, but knowing you, water is your thing and you will absolutely love it! I’d pick Bangkok as your first time city. There is enough to do culturally and boy bar wise to help you get introduced to how Thailand does Mongering. You will find that the overall cost to rent boys here will be a little bit higher than what you’re used to, but that will be offset by everything else being cheaper (food, accommodations, transpo etc). Either way, you won’t know you if you will like it until you try it. And I have a feeling that you will! P.S. And no, I am not a paid spokesperson for TaT lol.
  23. I definitely prefer working boys who know what they need to do to make a sale, not shrinking violets that you have to pull teeth to get anything from them. Those Taiwan guys know what sells. They know when to flex their muscles, when they think you need a sample of their strong touch, and will go for the jugular if they deem you are open to it. I just wish there was more of them, and more variety. I will continue to be customer regardless. It’s just one of those things I have to do to when in Bangkok. Sigh, yes I did mix them up, and thanks for catching it and correcting in your reply post. I’m better with actual names so maybe I shouldn’t try to name them as Thing 1 and Thing 2. I could also use their real names, but I know some of yáll are the stralkery type so I won’t go that route. OMG you really really love it there. I must admit this bar is more of an afterthought this trip, having only stayed for the show and not offing anyone. Definitely a revisit when I have the time next trip. In the past, I have also had a favorite guy from DB, and boy was he dreamy for sure. I know, I was in SP in Lagoa when someone asked about you two, as in where were the “um casal”. Gosh Sam, your lesbian sister. You mentioned he was now living closer to you now. Still in touch?
  24. @Olddaddy we applaud you for putting your fears out here on the board, and obviously it has struck a chord with a lot of people here, which should make you feel good about what you’re going through right now. Being envious of other people having more than you is natural and a common experience. Someone will always be richer, be more good looking, be younger, have more energy, than you will ever be. Your main concern, that you are older and slower that you used to be, is just a fact of life, and something that we do not have any control over. So you can be envious of others that still have their youth and energy, or you can use envy as a motivation for you to focus on the things that YOU can control, be it inviting a cute guy to have pizza with you, or discover a place in Bangkok you’ve never seen before, to mix things up. And have you thought of maybe that others are envious of you too? Having the resources, and the time, to spend 7 straight weeks in the Greatest CIty on Earth™ is no small feat. You have probably worked your darndest all your life to get to this point, and that is something to be proud of. I’m pretty sure most of us here on the board are envious of you for having the means and the courage to go on a vacation this long (I know I am). And don’t forget, this is YOUR vacation. You set your own rules. If you want to eat pizza alone every night after a night in the town, then that’s great! If it makes you happy. The pressures and expectations you have of your own energy levels and youth are all from you, and no one else has the right, nor the capability, of telling you how you should spend your vacation. Finally, I am glad you are letting yourself feel these “negative” feelings, and being honest about how it affects you, and even putting yourself out there, out here on the board, by reaching out to like minded people such as us. I feel that life is better if there is a balance. Too much of a good thing really is too much, and that includes sex. Be glad that you can fuck all those pretty things once in while, while allowing yourself the time to convalesce, and regains both your strength physically, and your desires mentally, for another round or three. I love this graphic: because it shows that balance is ultimately what you should strive for. You will have your ups, and your inevitable downs (like what you’re going through now), but no matter what happens, make sure that you enjoy yourself, because that’s the whole point right?
  25. Day 7.5: The Dreamers You know you’re getting old when you start reminiscing about the old days. And for me the old days were way back in… 2014. OK, I know that that’s not even 10 years ago, but that’s the year I first started going to Bangkok and started to darken the doors of its illustrious boy bars. Back then, Soi Twilight was in full swing (at least from what I saw), Tawan and Jupiter were both off-Soi choices I would visit, and Moonlight didn’t even exist yet. And back then, we didn’t need a New Twilight, as the old one was more than enough. Dream Boy on Soi Twilight was a standout for me. That neon sign alone was iconic. This was my impression of it way back in 2016: It seemed to be always full on weekends. The touts may have something to do with it, as they were ever present in the Soi, literally pulling indecisive people from the street to plop them onto DreamBoy’s seats. Inside, I’ve always thought old DreamBoy’s layout was the most ideal for optimal viewing of what was going onstage. Since the setup was “arena theater”-style, the audience almost did not have a bad viewing angle, and the shows were optimized for viewing of this kind of stage. But of course the greatest of structures is nothing if the main attraction is inferior. The fact that there was great variety in the boys here, often in skimpy white briefs, and with the seating the way it was, you can be up close and personal with balls in your face. I’ve spent so many nights searching for Mister Right Now in this bar. Oh the memories. --- As Tiago and I make our way to the gay area of Patpong 2, I only had to show my face to my usual mamasan at Dream Boy to be automatically led to the premises of the club. The club was almost full on a Saturday night, but miraculously there were nice seating close to where most the staff were sitting, with the mamasan shooing the staff currently sitting so we can claim the seat. Regular coke and rum and coke – it was fine, not too strong or weak. We got in just in time for a last glimpse of the boys on offer and before the coyotes terrorized the stage. There was a lot of boys, maybe 40, and a great variety as well, as in the old days. There were twinks, and hunks, and everything else in between. They were in jeans, which was less ideal, but beggars can’t be choosers. I see a few boys I’ve offed in the past, which is always a comfort knowing that they have toughed it out through the pandemic and able to continue with this life. There was a tall hunk (handsome, white skin, abs) who was model-like and was even better looking than any of the Moonlight or Jupiter boys. He got snapped up very quickly by a rotund Asian guy up front. The coyotes came, which was fine. “All girls,” Tiago said, as he thought the dancers were to feminine acting for his taste. I didn’t mind them, but no one was attractive to me. I’ve always thought the big column in the middle was an unfortunate fact in the club. It's probably load-bearing, so they can't do anything about it, but still, it's fairly awkward to have it obscuring the center of the stage. Though, it was ingenious for them to put a platform around the column so that it can be used for numbers. But boys and other numbers who end up behind the column would be unseen, and depending on where you were seated, you would miss some of the action if the column obscured your angled view. Far cry from the seating of the Twilight days, but this is what we have now. The drag queens were actually pretty good. Gone was the slapstick skits that were a trademark before, but now they just have the traditional lip-syncing goddesses that are staples of clubs all over. The numbers in general were pretty slick and choreographed, like it was before. I recognized the star of Dream Boy, still here after all this year, maybe looking a little older, but still hot as before, dancing his heart out like his life depended on it. I used to dream about how it was to off him, now, not so much. How my tastes have changed. Probably the highlight of the night, and possibly because Tiago was so entertained by it, was the fuck show. I recognize the bottom and I’ve seen him do this a thousand times before, but the top was new to me, and very handsome and had a good dick for topping. The fuck show was always more spectacle than erotic for me, and I am impressed by the dexterity needed to pull off some of the moves. It was all impeccably choreographed, fairly acrobatic, and Tiago is amazed that after all this impressive acrobatics, the cock doesn’t seem to leave the asshole at any point of the number. The pair then makes their rounds around the room, searching for tips. When the fucking pair gets to us, Tiago implores me to get out some baht as tip. 100 baht. When the boys are back onstage, it was time for me to choose if there was anyone to off tonight. There were a few possibilities, and one old off who, once he recognized me, tried to get my attention all night. I then feel Tiago’s head on my shoulder, as he yawned. I laughed. I asked him was he sleepy. He said he was just yawning. I asked him if anyone onstage was to his liking. He took a look, and then put his head on my shoulder again. “Up to you,” he says in Portuguese, which gave me a little chuckle. "Up to you," in Portuguese lands differently for me. “What do you want to do?” I ask him. He sits up at attention, and smiles his million watt smile. “I want ice cream!” he says. I laugh. That actually sounded better than the smorgasbord that was before us. Oh no, I have changed as well. I do not feel the same sense of urgency of offing, and fucking as I have before. Or maybe because I’ve cum three times today already, twice with Tiago, and once with the Tawan twosome, so maybe I deserve this ice cream. Overall, this club holds a lot of promise. The premises were nice, the numbers were entertaining, and the boys great looking. I'll put a pin on this club for now, and will take advantage of its delights at a future date. We then go to the famous 7 Eleven at CP Tower across Silom Soi 4, where a lot of gay cruising happens. Tonight was no different, as some young Bangkok-ians were checking Tiago out. But we were there for ice cream. And after two Magnum chocolate ice cream bars later, we walk back to the apartment. No Dream Boy for me tonight, as the one with me is very very real. My last day, next post…
