On Thursday night, Mr King ( or Prince?)of Jupiter #20 graced the stage with his presence. My favourite dance sequence "changing underwear behind curtain with Diana Ross Muscle song" was always done with most beautiful bodies of Jupiter boys and that night was showcased by Mr King of Jupiter #20, Mr Sexy #74 and #43 and one other. Unfortunately out of four boys, three were already pre-booked. I spotted unusually high number of around 8 farangs. 10 girls incl. a group of 3 western women.

I heard the story of how Jupiter boys look down on mere mortals of Soi Twilight boys. And how strict the management of the boss lady. How the boy need to save up the penalty fee to be allowed back in once you left the bar. Apparently the penalty fee is 3,000 Baht if you left once. 5,000 Baht 2nd time. 7,000 Baht 3rd time. Dream boy and TAWAN do not charge this penalty fee to boys.

Show time 10:30 drink price 350B 70% full 99% Asian customers I knew I shouldn't have come on Tuesday but still only 8 boys on show?! And one is already booked. Really? It seems the days of upto 30 boys danced to the tune of Sabrina's boysboysboys are long gone. Mr Jupiter #20 was off last night. And so was Mekhin. #67 young tall and slim #43 nice upper body but need to work on thighs #29 short cute but wear make up For me #74 is the hottest boy in Jupiter or I dare say the sexiest bar boy in Bangkok. He never smiles and glances the audience with a hint of disdain. The way he stands on stage is so arrogant that makes me feel dizzy. Maybe I need to see a cardiologist. Haha I suspect that he thinks he is the god's gift to all men and women. He is one of the boys who does the pole dancing with the song of French Affair's "Sexy". There are 4 boys dancing but Mr #74 moves body very seductively and makes others look like kids.

Back to the topic of #20, he was absent last night. Probably off day. Neither was Mekhin. Although I am not his biggest fan, it's very dissapointing not to see Jupiter's undisputed star.

If you are into the food, you can have "God's revelation" type experience in Thailand like I did on my first trip although I am not a foodie.Enjoy!

Like DivineMadman,I too buy a boy drink when I invite a boy and give him a small tip 100-200B if I decide not to off him. I don't give this consolation small tip to offing boy of the night obviously. When I go to Tawan and see many familiar faces coming to say hello, I feel a bit guilty not to offer them a drink but boy drink 400B ( boy gets only 50B from non- alcoholic drinks, no wonder every boys order Diet Coke before I knew the fact boy don't get kick back from alcohol drinks I thought they were on diet like a good body builder.haha) isn't cheap so I sometimes buy a bottle of whiskey from the bar 3000B which works out cheaper than buying many individual drinks. It's important for me that my favourite boys to maintain a good working relationship with the management for boys welfare. Having a generous customer does not hurt the boy's reputation in the management. I hope.

Le Meridien Bangkok charges wifi access in GUEST rooms 470 THB per day according to starwoodhotels.com. Wifi in public area is free. One of the reason I don't stay there despite the good location.

Agree with others about Mekhin. He is polite and easy to talk to. He told me that he always try to treat customers like a friend.

However, call me old fashioned but I still believe in the concept of 'noblesse oblige'. We were born in the world where we took comfortable home, university education, highly paid job for granted whereas most of bar boys were not. Most of us on this forum are experienced travellers, enjoyed the places where a Thai bar boy will ever see only on TV or movie. Do you remember the first time you received your passport? Were you 8 years old when your family visited Spain for a summer vacation. And imagine a Thai bar boy who has applied first passport as his farang customer instructed with promises of foreign trips. You see his smiling face holding first passport on Facebook. And then the farang ignore the boy's Line messages. Farangs and boys are not on an equal footing. I firmly believe that farangs should be on higher moral,ethical ground. Or at least sending Line message to say ' Mai dai ' ( I cannot) to an anxious waiting boy.

Haha. A fierce competition between you and fast acting young Asians. Can't wait for the possible round two when you back from Cambodia trip. The last time I witnessed Mekhin was offed by a young Asian too just after the show started. You need to grab him and run!

If you promised a Thai bar boy that when you visit Bangkok next time, you will take him to Bali/HK/Tokyo etc or invite him back to US/UK/Germany and changed your mind after the infatuation with the boy faded, please pick up the phone and tell him so. Please don't just ignore his repeated Line messages thinking " Oh he's just a bar boy. He is used to disappointments." Because I know something inside of the boy dies a little. Yes, I am a sentimental fool.

You won't find twinks in Jupiter these days at least when I checked in October. Jupiter boys are all muscular and fine specimen of a male beauty.

Hi Noctiluca, I recommend you to read our fellow forum member "GoldMember" s excellent trip report "Here I go again - BKK Oct 2016 report" if you haven't already. He made detailed descriptions regarding Tawan and muscle worship session in the report. As Paulfort stated above, you are expected to pay standard off fee (pay to the bar 500-650 baht)and normal tip (2000+ short time) to Tawan/ Jupiter muscle boys directly even if there will be no sexual contact. Also remember to give a small tip(100-200 Baht ) to boys if you asked them to sit with you for chat/negotiation and decided not to off him. And don't leave home without a tape measure.
