But instead of looking for drugs or illegal booze, officers were searching for dartboards - which they claimed were being used illegally by venues. The raids were concentrated around Soi 6, a street known for its brothels, bars and copious neon pink signs. One bewildered bar owner on the strip reported police demanding to see a 'dartboard license'. When they were unable to produce the appropriate documentation police confiscated their dartboards, reports Thai Visa. When they enquired as to how they could apply for a license they were told the license did not exist. The current entertainment license required by bars in Pattaya does not cover darts, staff were informed. This meant that bars had been illegally letting patrons play darts on their premises. The crackdown also resulted in the suspension of Pattaya’s popular amateur darts league - frequented by many of the city's expats. The event's organisers took up the matter with officials at Pattaya City Hall and contacted the Thailand Darts Association to seek clarification on the matter. This is not the first time the Thai government has clamped down on apparently innocuous pursuits enjoyed by expats. In 2016, police raided the Jomtien and Pattaya Bridge Club and arrested dozen elderly British nationals - including a former Honorary Consul. Over 50 police officers and military volunteers raided the club arresting 32 foreigners, and holding them until 3am. When I book a holiday I always check Chinese national holidays. As well as Chinese New Year there is also one week long October national holiday in China, Hotels and flights are expensive in these periods. Personally, I found June is slower than September in terms of Bangkok gogo bar scene,

After more than 20+ visits to Jupiter, I finally witnessed the performance of Hula Hoop Boy Mr Boom. As expected he is very good but more surprisingly he is hot! He did a couple more regular shows with other boys and he also paraded on stage with the number tag on #9 so I assume he is available for the off. While performing French Affair’s “Sexy” show, Mr Boom received 1000 Baht tip and so did #43. I have already passed 100 B tip to mamasan to give it to Mr Boom just after hula hoop performance so when I saw 1000B tip, I felt cheap haha.

I have been to both Lebua sky bar and Banyan Trees Moon bar just for drinking, no dining. I took a couple of Tawan boys with me and they were busy taking selfies than drinking.lol While the view from Lebua is truely spectacular the place is so crowded with many tourists I much preferred the experience at Banyan Tree’s moon bar. As with all those 5 star hotel bars, they had ‘no shorts’ dress code and one of boys had to wear a black loose long trousers provided by the hotel. lol PS I just opened attached article of the 5 best roof top bars, I’ve also been to Marriot’s Octave- very casual, no dress code and Cloud 47 which was conveniently located on Silom Road I believe is now closed permanently.

I asked him about the incident last night. I told him that I was shocked to see his face on sns and You tube video. He said it was popular. I assumed he has meant it was seen by many people. There was a big office party at Jupiter on Sunday. Apparently the occasion was for the owner’s birthday. The party started around12:00 with the boss’s speech presumably thanking all the staff for hard work etc?and there were some free food. Normally boys leave quickly after the show but most of them stayed around drinking & dancing with customers on stage. There was one Tawan boy also joined the party presumably called by his Jupiter friend. They also had prize draw going on and the lady boss was picking a paper with staff’s name on from a big jar announcing the winners from all mamasans waiters gogoboys, all the winners were met with big applauses. There were more than 20 prizes from a envelope containing a few hundred baht to the top prize of a big money. The top prize was a traditional lei a garland made out of 1000 Baht notes,total of 10,000 Baht. And it won by a very friendly small waiter.

Once at Jupiter, mamasan was passing a big bag of rubber bands to #69 I asked what’s that for and #69 told me that is for keeping the erection. So probably the simple rubber band then.

Spoon, This new show dancer is an English speaking black guy, clearly a proper professional dancer who seems to have a ballet dance training background as he does some classical dance routines. Since he speaks to audience in English / Chinese I suspect he used to work in China doing club shows. You really must see him doing a show in a beautiful black leather fetish gear head to toe complete with strip leather head mask. He has a big muscular supple dancers body, not a body builders and his dance routine is graceful, beautiful and yet scary with SM gear on. Oh the way he shakes his buttocks! Its fantastic! Apprently he started Jupiter appearances just a few days ago. I don’t how long he is going to stay with them but I am glad I watched his jaw dropping show. Jupiter did a excellent job hiring him. Oh my god! I’ve never seen white notes (1000Baht note)flying around the stage in gogo bars like in Jupiter last night. Drink price back to 300B and as I wrote on the other thread boys get 150B which I think it’s quite generous compare to other bars. Now they seemed to abandoned the fashion show idea boys are wearing dark blue shorts and dark blue tank top a bit like in old days of Jupiter2002 where they used to wear white shorts. 60% of them shirtless. The bar was full and there seemed a couple of serious tippers last night. I have seen a 1000B note given to the boys on stage not necessarily for the offed boy of the night a few times in Jupiter. But the last night was something else. I saw a boy got 2000 Baht while parading on stage from one person and another person tipped 1000 B like Choristers auction’s bidding war. For my eyes the boy was not particularly cute or have a good body. Many others were tipped while parading on stage too. Even #27 was getting a tip twice. For me, the best looking boy in Jupiter is #56 although his fashion is a bit suspect. He seemed like studded shoes and a sweater with wings. Last night he was wearing silver glittery shoes with gold necklace and bracelet. He is from Issan. There was this big muscular black? guy who seemed to be a trained dancer did a couple of solo shows last night. Crowd really loved watching his buttocks shaking dance, you know those YouTube black girls shaking ass video? On the first act he appeared dressed all in white, wearing white coat and white tights. Second act he appeared in black fetish kink leather gear and it really looked good on his big muscular body. Audiences went wild. Watching his shows alone is well worth 300B.

But is everyone really living this dream life and are there red flag warning signs that you are better off jumping on a plane and getting back home? We are have different standards and acceptable living conditions, but if you have succumbed to a 3k baht a month studio with no aircon and a cold, broken shower or even possibly a large barrel you need to fill with water. You know the type, studios in the same block as the workers of Soi Baukhao, then this is sign number 1. Your not living the dream, go home. Sign number 2. When you complain on one of the many online food groups when a breakfast costing 99 baht and that it is too expensive or the tea is not tetleys. Perhaps a member of staff didn’t courtesy for you too? Remember you do have the choice to buy a more expensive breakfast, but perhaps you are watching your sedang a little more than you should. I even see one guy complain to a restaurant that his curry serving was not big enough – it was a 149 baht meal deal that came with naan, rice and half a pint of beer. What does the guy want? Drinking can often cross the line in Pattaya and become a big problem for some guys here. I knew one guy that said he got drunk not just everyday but twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon after he woke from his lunch time nap. If you are drinking everyday and before 5pm, Pattaya may be about to consume you and spit you out. Be warned, it could be time to leave. Another big sign, if you have stopped drinking in a beer bar and now drink outside a 7-11 or a Thai shop as it’s cheaper; this too is a little alarming. That’s my sign number 3. Number 4: If you have no money. I am sure there are many guys here that would struggle to even get a flight home anyway. They will live here with no health insurance and be the wrong side of 60 years old. It is a matter of time before something bad happens. And finally, you have had or are having a bad experience with your Thai partner. Maybe they have taken all you have got and you are feeling depressed, alone and skint – but seem to think another teelak is still out there for you. Go home before you fall off a balcony. To many this list will read as a bit of light hearted fun but I have lived in Pattaya for over ten years and sadly seen expats die far too young from over drinking, I have seen them not wanting to give up on Pattaya even with no money – and their life is worse than if they were just to get on a plane and go home.
