About 1:30 am I was a bit surprised that Phet was with the captain and not with fellow Lao. Anyway it was really good to see familiar faces of Tawan. Many boys eat at food stalls around Thaniya after work and continue to club, karaoke with bar friends. On the previous night Jupiter boys #9 and #55 went on all night drinking karaoke session until midday next day. It’s good to be young.

Last night at Jupiter Mr Tam and another gorgeous hunk presumably Moonlight star dropped by with a customer last night. And there was a very generous Asian customer giving away 1000 baht note to a few boys and offed a boy who used to work at old Jupiter and came back to New Jupiter. At Thaniya food stall, I spotted Tawan’s captain with moustache and Tawan boy Phet eating drinking with a friend among other customers from near by gogo bars Dreamboys/Jupiter etc. after work. It’s quite interesting observing boys interacting each other from different bars. It was raining this evening again but stopped around 9pm so no trouble catching taxis.

Christian, To be fair, you should also clearly specify the boy type that you’re after. I guess you like thin twink type right? From my understanding, it’s well known that muscle hunks charge more in Pattaya. If ggobkk was looking for hunks he is probably right in saying 1500B short time.

Perhaps there was a mixup where “Timeless” forum shouldn’t have Start New Topic button but I have whereas main forum should have Start button but currently unavailable.

Despite the rain I visited Jupiter around 10 pm last night. It started rain from 9:30pm and the rain got heavier when I left around 1am. The worst thing about rainy day in BKK is that taxi driver starts to feel they have a legitimate reason to refuse my request or charge 200B while on meter only cost 50B. Jupiter was packed and there were already 4-5 boys sitting with customers including #44 and #75. There were about 40 boys on stage which is the largest number since January the show time was longer than usual. There is this newish guy #31 who has very very well defined six pack that looks like he is wearing the one of those “ Six Pack coming up” T shirt. Well he looks menace on stage but when you call him to sit with you he behaves like a puppy. I must add I really like the body of #34. He is dark skinned, no tattoos, his body looks very supple natural, not gym worked extremely and well proportioned. The Vietnamese boy#23 returned around 12:00 but immediately called by a customer to sit with him. Good day in the office. Lol Around midnight the expat farang entered the bar with his usual entourage this time the party included a guy from Dreamboys. I am not a keen Dreamboys fan but I recognised him from his enthusiastic dancing and smile. He has a large Phoenix tatoo coverings all his back. There were still healthy number of customers enjoying karaoke around 1pm or waiting the rain to stop. I noticed there were about 10 Indian looking gentlemen among predominantly Chinese customers.

Oh! I have the same problem. There isn’t “Start New Topic” button on main forum unlike the beer bars and gay thailand business where there is button to start a new topic for me. I thought it was strange as I had started new topics a few times in the past. I wonder if there was a change to the rule?

I saw the news on TV this afternoon. The residents at the nearby condo “ Silom Grand Terrace” were told electricity will not back up today.

I totally disagree. If Cambodian and Lao to be banned there would be fewer choices in the gogo bars for most of us. Would you like to go to the bar only to see 10 boys ? Of course not. Most of us like Thai boys AND boys from neighboring countries. As paborn pointed out Thai economy is only getting stronger, there would be fewer Thai boys would consider working in the industry. There would be the end of gogo bars if foreigners were to be banned. I wonder any of us would choose only Thai boys. Would you call a gorgeous hot guy from the stage but return him when you find out he is a Cambodian? And personality I found Lao, Cambodian and Vietnamese speak better English than many Thai boys.

Haha but I now understand the reason why mamasans are eager to reserve regulars seat is to earn 200B tip.

I visited Jupiter on rainy Friday night in fact my friend says it’s has been raining all week on evenings. The place was full as expected since it’s a Friday night but my friend who was landed in BKK one week before tells me it has been fairly busy on rainy week days too. He said he also visited Dream Boy, Moonlight and X boys that week where the bars are very quiet. When I seated, #23 my favourite Vietnamese boy spotted me quickly came up to say hello. He has a great personality, very friendly, has a cheeky smile. The mamasan Ti informed me they have totally banned smoking from the premises. Previously smoking was prohibited only at show time and they allowed smoking from 12:00 karaoke time. This information pleased me greatly as I hated the smell sometimes so bad I had to escape to the outside seat. Probably they banned smoking as they didn’t want to pay policemen anymore for that offence. Mekhin came to say hello, reiterating how happy he was moving from Tawan to Jupiter. I am not an expert on other Bangkok gogo bars but one of the most striking thing about Jupiter is that they have fanatically devoted regulars whose seats are always reserved by their mamasans. So the seat surrounding the stage with a table with good views are always reversed for their regulars. I know a couple of regulars who visit from HK, Taiwan and Japan, every weekend or every month. On the night, there was a very generous Asian gentleman who tipped 200 baht and a shot of whiskey to every boys, about 30 plus boys. Actually he was not the one handing out the cash. When the boys did their catwalk on stage, a couple of mamasan standing at near the end of runway, one mamasan held a wad of 100 B notes and another a bottle of whiskey with small glass. Every boy drank and gave a wai to the customer when received tip. One of the Jupiter boy told me he earned 1900 Baht from various customers that night without being offed. I also saw one boy has been presented a garland of 1000 Baht note probably total 10,000 baht. I had a discussion about bar tipping with my friend who has been regulars at Dreamboys the past 5 years but changed to Jupiter recently. He said at Dreamboys he always tipped mamasan 100B Baht but didn’t tip waiters separately other than changes from the drink bills. But he learned from other regulars that at Jupiter your standard tipping rate to mamasans is 200 Baht and waiters 100B.

Can’t wait to see the ungodly handsome #15.

I saw offed boy with customer tried to walk past the tip box at the door but the manager caught him so he paid 100B unwillingly. lol I think the boys prefer to pay to the door staff/waiter personally than to the tip box like everyone. It’s also not unusual for the boys to pay tip to waiters out of his pocket if his customer forget to tip, sometimes as much as 500B( 100B to three waiters+ 200B to mamasan). Sometimes my regular boys ask if I could tip his friend as he hasn’t had a customer for a week so I tip 500-1000B. One such friend thanked me saying he could go to a clinic to receive a facial beauty treatment! lol I don’t mind tipping his friend thinking perhaps his friend would help my regular if he was in need.

I have seen Jupiter boys pay 100B tip to waiters a few time and it’s always 100B like unwritten rule.I thought it’s generous but it seems natural for them, a bigger earner to less fortunate, Tambun a kind of making a merit.

I have a feeling that straight guys at girlie gogo bars are far better tippers than gay farangs at boys bar. Or perhaps bar girls are much more manipulative than boys and know how to squeeze money out of customers.

From eturbonews.com The Thailand eVisa will be pre-launched in four test countries before the end of the year: the United Kingdom, France, China, and the United Arab Emirates. One of the ways that travelers will be able to process their applications is through thailandvisa.net, a non-governmental website which provides travel advice and assistance to visa applicants. Citizens of the four chosen countries will be able to apply online for the Thai Visa without going to a Thai embassy or consulate. The application process will be straightforward and will only take a matter of minutes to complete. Applicants will just need to complete the online form by answering a series of questions. At the moment, citizens of the UK, France, and the UAE can enter Thailand for periods of up to 30 days visa-free and Chinese travelers can enter for up to 15 days with a visa on arrival. The new Thailand eVisa will allow these four nationalities to stay for periods of longer than 30 days. Mr. Chatree Arjanchan, Director General of the Department of Consular Affairs, said that the test phase will be observed before the visa is launched in several more countries in 2019. Traveling to Thailand with an eVisa The Thai capital, Bangkok, welcomes more visitors than any other city in the world. The popularity of Thailand as a tourist destination continues to grow for many reasons including its idyllic islands, stunning beaches, ancient temples, vibrant nightlife, and delicious food. The eVisa for Thailand will make it easier for tourists to visit Thailand. Not only will it save time during the application process, but it will also save time at the border as travelers will have already been pre-screened by the authorities. Visitors from the eligible countries will be able to enter Thailand by presenting their eVisa and their passport when they arrive. The details on the visa will need to match those of the passport exactly. How will the four nationalities be able to apply for the Thai eVisa? Applying for a Thailand eVisa will be simple. The first step will be to complete the visa application form which will require applicants to enter a range of basic information such as their name, date of birth, passport details, and travel dates. There will also be some security-related questions. To successfully apply, it will be necessary to meet the basic visa requirements. This will include having a passport from an eligible country, completing the form fully without any inaccuracies, and paying a fee using a credit or debit card. After an application has been completed and approved, the eVisa will be sent to the applicant electronically. https://www.eturbonews.com/231423/thailand-to-launch-evisa-in-the-uk-france-china-and-uae-this-year

From bk.asia-city.com “Bangkok’s classic 24-hour Thai restaurant chain Took Lae Dee has opened in Singapore, marking the brand’s first-ever foreign foray in its 45-year history. With a name meaning “cheap and good” food, Took Lae Dee in Bangkok is a diner found inside Foodland supermarkets that's beloved for a late-night, post-drinking meal. “ https://bk.asia-city.com/travel/news/took-lae-dee-open-singapore -

I had a similar experience like a447a’s in June. I was shopping at Bang Rak Bazzar, near Shangli-la hotel one evening and noticed a smiling Thai guy walking towards me. The guy was a Jupiter boy who appears in Muscle guy type show. I knew he was gay because he told me that he fancies a straight Jupiter boy in the bar a few days ago but otherwise I wouldn’t have noticed him being gay. He was day off work and he said he lives near by. To my surprise, he was acting very femme so I realised his straight acting in the bar wasn’t his natural behaviour. I wondered if his straight acting was due to the fact he has some female customers.
