They recently increased whiskey bottle price along with off fee/entrance ( incl. one drink) fee. 750 ml Chivas Legal now 3500B from 3000B. 1L Jonny Walker Black used to cost 3500B so presumably 4000B now. You don’t need to buy separate drinks for boys if you have a bottle opened. But they wouldn’t receive usual kick back 150B from boy drink if they drink from your bottle so need to be compensated in form of tip, I guess.

Before Jupiter2018, it was “For Fun” pub which was owned by Jupiter owner.

When I open a bottle of whisky at Jupiter, I tip regular mamasan 200 B, and 100 B each for three waiters, which seems to be tipping protocol for regulars. Other bars, I don’t always tip mamasan and waiters but when I do tip, it’s always 100 B note and never with 20B notes. I hand tip directly to waiter/mamasan and leave coins /20 B notes in the check bin wallet.

You didn’t discuss details (long/ short) and amount of tip? and yet he stayed till 6am.Very interesting. He must have felt comfortable being with you.

Jupiter boy Van It’s good to learn that he is back at home working hard at rice field to help his family. He often goes back to home for a while and comes back to Soi 4 because “ no money”.

Why muscle lovers are paying more than twink lovers? For me, the answer is easy. Because muscle lovers are competing with more generous Chinese and Asian customers. They are setting the cost of the tip these days. It’s more likely Asian goes for muscular guys than twink boys. Whereas older farangs who come to Thailand for 10 years or more who off twinks are not raising tip. By the way, I have a question, why there aren’t any STAR gogo TWINK boys. I am talking about gogo boys not a porn models. We hear about Mekhin and Tam and others but I have never heard discussion about a twink boy XX in Soi Twilight or Pattaya. Is it because twinks have shorter sell by date? Younger good look fades easily than muscle? Or perhaps muscle lovers tend to worship their muscle gods whereas twink lovers don’t.

Why not? I know they do.But off rate among farang female are probably lower than Asian girls. Asian women are more familiar with sex workers in their culture. Like host clubs in China or Japan, solely for female clients. I have spoken to a Japanese woman in her thirties who speaks good English in Jupiter once. She said she used to visit host club in Japan but since she found Thai gogo bars she doesn’t go to Japanese host bars anymore as it’s much cheaper in Bangkok. I have seen farang female customers in Dreamboys Bkk, Tawan and Jupiter2018. From my experience, once you start taking his friend / bar friends to clubbing there will be no cost cutting options. You get a reputation within the bar of partying so your main boy’s friends would request him to go clubbing every time you visit the bar and for your friend it’s difficult to turn down friends request as having a generous fun customer is good for his prestige. Even your boy doesn’t approve, the friends would LINE his bar friend they are partying at xxx club now with a photo and others would turn up uninvited. You can’t say no to them to save your main boy’s face. Once I offed a boy and went to clubbing with his 4 bar friend. I paid his friends’ off fee and 1000-2000 tip each too. When we arrived at the club , the other bar friend joined with his customer and many more friends. It was total of 13 people, 8 gogo boys, 1 waiter, 1 other customer, two girlfriends of gogo boys. We only spent one hour there as the club was closing at 1 am and the total drink & food bill came to nearly 10,000 B and unfortunately the other customer didn’t contribute anything.

At the time I felt humiliated but now at my home country thinking back the incident, it was actually interesting episode since not everyday you get rejected by Thai gogo boy. So I am regrouping and making an evil plan to get revenge on Mr Fluke. lol

I visited Moonlight on two Fridays in late October and early November. The management hasn’t completely refurbished but minor changes from Boy66 or Jupiter2002. Seating, the stage, shower booth in the same place. Both night the place was 70 % full, much better than I heard from the forum’s reviews. I deliberately chose Friday as I thought reviewing on quite weekdays may not be kind to the bar. The first impression, the crowd is older than Jupiter’s. The farang ratio perhaps slightly higher. I am comparing to Jupiter since Moonlight and Jupiter are the only gogo bars I visited this time. The shows are ok. It seems the management has the obsession that every shows must end with revealing male genital organs. There was SM themed fuck show with wip that the dominant used the sub mercilessly. There were 3-4 customers with a bottle of whiskey opened so it seems the bar is gaining regular customers. I have seen the much talked about models, Tam, Nicky, Sunny,Babe, York, Tae and Fluke. It is a good idea that the models walk around off stage wai ing customers after introduction on stage so that we could have a better look at them. By observing their gestures, Sunny, Nicky and Fluke were friendlier than other models. On both nights there were only about 15 boys(non-model), slightly towards twink side than Jupiter’s and mostly next door type. I would recruit more boys if I was managing the bar. At the end of the show all the boys dance this little dance with Moonlight song that reminded me the awkward Jupiter 2002 dance of BoyzBoyzBoyz. I found exJupiter mamasan and waiter. The old mamasan hugged me enthusiastically “I am happy to see you” but I didn’t tip him. Finally, let’s talk about Mr Fluke. he looked exactly the same as seeing on SNS. I thought watching his shower show was worth 400 entrance fee. He moves quite provocatively yet his look and hair and his massive muscles let me imagine him being an exotic wild animal that trying to break the cage ( shower booth)and get away which left me somehow an uneasy feeling. To tell you the truth I was little scared of him. I also watched Nicky’s shower show that was totally non-sensual. On the first day I visited Moonlight I was determined to get to know Mr Fluke so as soon as I entered I called a mamasan, showed Mr Fluke’s photo and asked to call him. Mamasan was delighted when he asked “(boy)drink ok?” and I nodded. He was calculating a fat tip from me. Well, actually I was ignored by Mr Fluke! Mamasan was keep saying “ after show he come” I waited till 11:40 but he didn’t come. While I was waiting for Mr Fluke, Nicky tried to offer himself but I declined as he reminds me of my aunt. He seemed most eager of all models. I was like a teenager stood up by the date. Of course I was feeling humiliated! Maybe he thought I looked hideous or had a bad day at the office that night. My friend who knows Mr Fluke a little consoled me saying that he is not the type of guy. Whatever!

ceejay, I do understand your doubts whether this Asian guy is a genuine customer. I cannot say100% but I have seen enough Asian big tippers in Jupiter throwing money around in the bar the probability of him being a genuine customer is quite high. Some Asian customers just love flaunting money in the bar, the practice I have not seen farang customers doing for sometime. Take example of this Taiwanese customer in Jupiter I have seen in September and November. He is late thirties or early forties, wearing expensive brand clothes, drinking champagne surrounded by 4-5 cute boys, tipping lavishly to boys on stage. He watches the show smiling all the time and when show ends he goes with 4-5 boys and have a meal/club. My friend who is a friend with one of the customer’s favourite boy informed me that this guy loves pretty boys and he goes to shopping with boys and buys gifts for them too. I also saw Asian customer giving a shot of whiskey and 100 baht note to every boy on the catwalk, over 30 boys? It’s fun watching big tippers enjoying themselves. It’s good for the bar and boys morale.

Probably the list is for the waiter. He didn’t distribute the money himself but had waiter to hand over the money for him. Asian customers often let mamasan tip the boy on his behalf when the boy is on stage. Or he had the list because his friend asked him to tip for his boys as the friend was unable to attend that night. It happened to me at Moonlight. My friend asked me to tip his favourite Moonlight guy so I showed his photo to the mamasan to call the guy.
