  1. I agree! When you're with the boy you're looking at him; however, the other guests are looking at you and him. He notices this. Impress him with kindness, not places.
  2. Terry, I await others who live there and have more pertinent intel to fill in. But: 1. The Thai economy is going fairly well. It is, I believe, getting harder to recruit Thai workers. Sort of like the situation in the US. The actual truth is Latin American immigrants do work others don't. Laos and Cambodia are much poorer. 2. This one threw me. "If they are willing to risk foreign boys, then why not have African or Filipino which im sure would be more popular than Cambodian." REALLY? Do you think I fly to Thailand from South Florida ( about 30 hours door to door ) for African types? We could all go to Manila if we wanted. I go to Thailand because of the availability of Asian boys - Many here adore Cambodians. Personally, I fall for the Vietnamese head over heals. In all deference and politeness, everyone has their own type and I never make comments. But this took my breath away coming on THIS board.
  3. I understand everything being said. However, I must note that 100B is about $3.00 US - considering my monastic life at home this would never actually deter me if I thought the guy was offable - all other things being equal.
  4. I'm not sure of the meaning of "yes, gay ones" but I take it that it is in reference to my comment. Again, it is just affirmation that "twink" is a body type and not an indication of sexual orientation. In a long life devoted to the relentless pursuit of twinks, I have never found a correlation between body type and sexual preference.
  5. I'm not familiar with this restaurant. Where is it? Is it worth going to?
  6. In all fairness, I think you're missing my point. Even a vigorously defended opinion is not a personal attack. You have a right to your opinion. But, you are not your opinion. All I read was a firm disagreement. No disparagement of the person was even hinted at. After all, it boils down to tipping in a manner that conforms to the society and venue that you are in. Yet we have gone on for 8 pages. It's really quite amazing.
  7. Correcting what has been said is not a personal attack. Yes, we - each of us - own our opinions but refuting them is not an attack on the owner only a disagreement of the opinion.
  8. My God. Yes! So well said!
  9. Agreed. In general, I loathe tattoos, but Thailand has mage me blind to them. I do question one remark; however, I've never understood the separation of "straight" and "twink". To me, "twink" has always been a slender body type and has nothing to do with sexual orientation. I love twinks and dislike fems.
  10. It's my understanding that Blue Spice needs to be booked many days in advance.
  11. Your right of course. As I was reading your post it occurred to me that by dismissing Sunee I was violating my own rule. For me, rule number 1 is don't ever follow anyone's advice about what the boys look like. I posted, recently, about a thread describing visits to Moonlight. The poster went on about the beauty of the models, the overwhelming sexiness of the videos posted on Facebook, etc. He posted a shot of the models and identified his favorites. I would not have taken any of them for free. There was one gay, ignored by the poster, who I think is gorgeous. My point is yours I think - go and see for yourself.
  12. Now that is fascinating. Are they charging?
  13. Do you remember when millions of migrating Chinese Finch would perch on the overhead wires and defecate on the walkers? Ah, memories. But, your right I don't want them all gone. Actually, it might be that when passing through I'm usually in my search for boy mode and a tad impatient.
  14. Just don't go too far in the past. You're right things change. The massage parlor information contains subtle information about types of shops and what to expect, etc. that are timeless even when shops go in and out of business.
  15. OK, I have to see it for myself. I love the slightly chaotic nature of Bangkok. But, really over the years, it could be a struggle to move.
  16. Guys, your right. I'll try Sunee next trip. Who knows they may not be my type at all either
  17. Very nice update and congratulations... At first, I did not realize that this was an update from last year. I read on because I'm interested in new shops that are not too far out. I just saw the Sept. Thai Puan issue and there is an ad for a massage shop called Hanuman in Patpong near Suriwongse. Anyone know about it?
  18. I agree Thailand should be included. But, I've learned that if someone can be confused, they will be confused. How about; Timeless and Useful - Thailand and the World. I support the idea of threads - or portions thereof being moved in by the moderators. Don't we all think our posts are of archival quality? Allowing people to post in there directly will quickly degrade the quality
  19. Is it now possible to walk, unhindered, from Thaniya plaza down Silom to the Gay sois? t used to be an obstacle course.
  20. This is another wonderful report. I concur with everything Vinapu has said. I learn something new every time I log in. But, moreover, there is a gracious friendliness to the posters here that makes it a great place to be.
  21. Gentleman. I never allow displays of "lust": outside the confines of my bedroom. This is the very reason I have never visited the bars of Sunee - I have no desire to be part of this. Also, I know the law only applies to Muslims; however, when I say people like me I mean Gay people. Remember - if we tolerate such egregious violations of human rights then we are party to the abuse. I make no cause that others should not travel there, only that I will stay away.
  22. Vinapu, thanks - it's so obvious. I'm chagrined that I never thought of it. Even drinking nam soda to stay sober causes a huge bloat on an odyssey like this. BY the way, this is an outstanding report. I love the writing style like a polite travelogue written for a sophisticated audience. I'm delighted you find us worthy of your prose.
  23. I completely agree. It is not only a consideration of safety but one of spending my gay dollars in a nation where people like me are in danger. The amount of tourist dollars earned by a nation is not insignificant- it is a source of hard currency. I spend my money were my gay brothers and I are left unharmed. It doesn't have to be a sex vacation just don't cane me if I kiss a consenting guy of legal age.
  24. What is the difference between Gay Thailand and Gay Thailand Travel?
  25. in Pattaya, what[bD1] [bD2] has he seen, etc. Hi, great story - nothing happens when I click on these.
