  1. This is fundamentally only fair.
  2. Fictitious?
  3. Good, I know what you are - so enough time spent.
  4. That's why I booked the Poseidon in January. Honestly, you are usually very helpful. But, this response does not answer the question unless I'm being dense - entirely possible, of course.
  5. You really have a problem with simple English. My advice, take it or not, is to chill out.
  6. Fair enough. But consolidators are an entirely different matter. I'll look into it, but from my business days they have a horrid reputation, especially if something goes wrong. By the way, what do you mean by "fictitious flights"
  7. Why not open a nice red, put your feet up and give it a rest?
  8. If they have to use a seatbelt extender that should be proof positive that the passenger has to purchase two seats. Can you imagine being in a window seat and having to climb over - just for the bathroom let alone in an emergency.
  9. Even opinions can be judged and used when considering purchases. I always read the reviews on Amazon, why would I ignore them? Taking into consideration the service and maintenance issues is important IMHO.
  10. Actually, come to think of it; as there are no go-go bars in Jomtien and the venues are open on the side to the street. What is a beer bar there as different from any other?
  11. The Rose has been moving toward business orientation for years. The restaurant inside the hotel is very nice, I have had breakfast there often. It is vastly different than the Rose hotel of old. I have not stayed there in years but the lobby, inside restaurant, etc. are very nice. However, I take your point that they were visibly full.
  12. Do Beer bars in those areas have offable waiters or staff?
  13. Jason, is this German food or just a name?
  14. I agree with you. But, often the airline has a mess. Deny boarding, as they should, and there might arise a fight with the PC groups that call it "fat shaming" -it's hard to win.
  15. All you need to do is scroll down on left side until you get to booking sites and select airlines only and all your complaints disappear! Not only that but when you click on the fare you like, you are transferred directly to the airline site and thus will never have the problem of not purchasing directly from the airline if you have cancellation etc problems. This is gold. Thanks!
  16. Is there a dress code at Ruen Urai? Some places are polite when they turn you away - Like sky bars and no shorts.
  17. I admit I worry too much. I've seen where one poster can take us too quickly.
  18. Google Flights is a good tool for looking for fares. And it will rank the "best" flight options based on things like flight time, "comfort" etc. And they have a fare calendar that will show you a whole month at a glance...and will also show other nearby airport options if applicable. I never heard of Google Flights. I just tried it and love it- the fare calendar is a fantastic idea. Thanks! By the way, as I search Turkish Airlines keeps coming up with the lowest fares. Does anyone have any idea what they're like?
  19. For those that use the gay hook-up apps, keep an eye out for the tell-tale signs that a guy is looking for High Fun and keep well clear e.g. -HF, CF or Chems written in their name or profile - means they want High Fun or Chemical Fun, same with "chem friendly", avoid! -PNP Means Party & Play and is same as Chemical Fun -Emojis of Snowflakes or Snowmen - means they are either selling or have Cocaine or Ice and want High fun, avoid! -Emojis of Clouds or airplanes - usually means they are already high/flying high and are looking for someone to come and prolong the session, avoid! -Emojis of Syringes - usually means that they want to slam (inject directly into the vein) these are the worst kind, so should be absolutely avoided Scooby, you might want to consider this for the knowledge base. I plan on trying the apps next trip and I would never have known this. I'm adding it to my own google keep.
  20. I disagree, can those that think that the topic should be closed please elucidate on their back seat moderation decision? I agree with the informational part of your post. But, there are nice ways to offer an opinion. Those of us worried about the topic was concerned that a board dedicated to travel to gay Thailand might be associated with a discussion of drug use. That was our worry, not a desire to bury our heads in the sand.
  21. See now, I'm flying from FLL and leaving the 8th of January. I should have checked a week or so later. I'll add this to my list to do in the future.
  22. Great point Scooby. Now, I paid, for my January ticket, $1,500 on Emirates from the US. Obviously, high season, but just as obviously I would love to pay less. So, hints like fly Tuesday or Wednesday, avoid this or that. You know all the things we might not think of. Are there really seasons a two-week vacationer might want to avoid, etc. I'm looking to reduce air and come twice a year rather than once.
  23. I'm hoping this topic will be both helpful and new. I would hazard a guess that the vast majority of us get to Thailand by air and it's probably the single most expensive element of our travel. So, let's discuss how we go about getting the best fare/service. Do we book directly with airlines, use online travel agencies, apps like Kayak, etc.
  24. Frankly, I've been concerned about this topic since the start. I don't think it's an area we should play in.
  25. Created by one of Thailand's most famous celebrity chefs. Budget warning -
