Agree. Direct flight Amsterdam to Bangkok used to be in the 700-800 EUR range. Now 1200-1300. It makes me go now only one time a year. In stead of two or three. I am back now after one year. There is indeed inflation. Going Bangkok today. Taking bus from Pattaya to Ekkamai is now 119 baht. During my last trip 2.5 years ago it was 108 baht. A 10% inflation in 2.5 years.
