Because I only have 5 weeks holiday per year from my job. By taking him to my country he can stay at my place for 3 months on a holiday visum. I take 4 trips to Thailand each year of 1 week each. I want him longer with me. And he wants to see Paris, London etc. Most of your guys are pensioners who have 52 weeks holiday each year, or you inherited a fortune because your parents died early and can live for many years on that fortune cheap in Thailand. Or you faked a disability which made you can not work and receive this way a monthly income from your government and live good on it in Thailand (in my country almost 1 million people can officially not work due to a disability; everyone knows a lot of fraud is going on there). But sadly: I have to work for my income and as said I only have 5 weeks holiday each year. So taking him to say Cambodia for 2 months is not an option. I not have 2 months free time in a year!

I have called the immigration department of my country what I must do to get a holiday visum for a Thai guy. I would love to show a friend (he works in Soi Twilight) my country. And he wants it too. He has only left Thailand one time in his life. Some things are easy to accomplish: get a Thai passport, get health insurance, get two good photographs, proof you have at least 35 EUR for every day you want to stay in Europe. This is all do-able. But there is a hard part. He has to make it very likely that he will return to Thailand. I asked them "how can he make that likely?". They say you can show us a paper that he is employed, or show us a paper that he is enrolled in a university (school). The guy I want to invite for a holiday has no job (as said he is a money boy in BKK) and is not enrolled in a school. I am sure some of you have taken a guy over to Europe for some weeks. How did you get the visum? Is the last requirement really very important and maintained strictly? You have some tips for me? I live in a Schengen country.

Yes I admit I fit that profile. And Soi Twilight. But also in places where you can expect to see gay men who like other types, I notice most prefer twinks. In Amsterdam there is a gay sauna and each time I am there and a young twink enters he is really followed around by older gay men when they notice him. Each trying to get him; to touch him etc. I never see this kind of behaviour when a 25 year old muscled gay enters. He is not followed around by other guests wherever he goes. Maybe 1 or 2 only. And I see it in other places too. I truly think the bulk of gays prefer twinks. The other sub groups: those preferring beers, or chubby people, or elderly people are really minorities.

OK. I accept the self-selecting reason. But I do have one problem with it. The Thai boys we do meet are mostly into it for the money of course. You do not see the son of a millionaire there. And I am sure most do not really like a 50 or 60 year old Farang. So if money wins them over to be fucked by an old body, why can money not win over those gay Thais who like Thai guys????

You have an a-typical taste for Thai guys. I have been there now a few times and your taste deviates immensely from the average Farang. Who is into 18-25 year old skinny twinks. But your friends look very good, however they look like tops to me. Not bottom. Are you the bottom?

My experience is that most Thai gay boys tell me they are not into guys of their own country at all. They like Farang only. Do they lie about that? But why? They know I am not looking for a relationship and that I go from one guy to the next (a few I keep among visits). I mean to say: There is no reason why they can not be honest to me about their preferences. If they do not lie then it is a strange phenomenon. This must have meant that homosexuality did not exist really in Thailand before the arrival of gay Farang tourism. I mean the average gay in Thailand could find no-one he liked in 1900 AD. You believe them when they say this?

Doesn't that go for all? They do it for the money or the money they silently expect coming their way. Unless you are young yourself. Most moneyboys I talk to say they have as upper limit 60. So then that limit surely must apply for the non-moneyboys. If a 60+ guy picks up a 7-11 boy than that boy is 40, or - if he is around 20 - than he wants or expects money and you will not get him a second time if you did not pay the first time. Mark my words.

I forgot to tell that in case you wondered that boy has an agreed open relationship with his boyfriend: No he hasn't. When I asked "What will your boyfriend think", he said "I will not tell". So if even a boy who receives every month 40.000 baht from his boyfriend is not faithful, then no boy is around that age. In all of my trips to Pattaya I have stayed in Boyztown (Copa or Ambiance). I want a change, and plan to stay very close to Sunee. I see an extremely cheap hotel (20 EUR for a single night) there. It is called Marina Inn. I don't expect much luxery for this price. I do not need it. As long as the shower works decently and the bed is reasonable I am ok with it. Since it is so close to Sunee, I don't expect it is a problem taking a boy to your room? Any of you have experience with this hotel?

You are picky. I feel sexually attracted to about 80% of Thai twinks in the age group 18-25. But since I have to pay (in a gogo bar) for a boy, I want only the best of the best. So I pick a boy in my 10% category. But the others are also hot and good for me, but I have the idea I can get better for my money and so take a better one, from that bar or another one. Ok. I had put a smiley after my remark by the way. I was just wondering why so many raids are done if there are no legal consequences for the bar owners. They just pay the police I was told and then can continu their practice. They will not loose their license. If this all is true, than to the casual observer (read: me) it appears that these raids are only done to earn some extra income.

That is how I also understand it. But why do many people then say "Pattaya is only gay for pay"? It implies then almost all gogo boys, beer bar boys, Gayromeo boys are heterosexuals.
