On YouTube I saw a video showing Pattaya in 1979. Walking street was a gravel road and it looked to have mostly normal shops in stead of bars to get ladies for sex This made me wondering : 1) Since when became massage places with happy ending a thing in Pattaya? 2) Since when are they all over the place? I mean they are really everywhere now. I assume it started with 1 or 2 such shops and then a few years later it’s everywhere. 3) Since when are there massage places with guys doing the massage and providing happy ending? 4) When did gay beer bars and go go bars first appear ? Already in the 70s? Or gay sex tourism started only late 80s or so ? 5) From that old video it looks the sex bars where not so in your face as they are now. Maybe more hidden back then? Less obviously visible ?

We can’t help to be a part of our time when it comes to fashion. Most of us participate unconsciously in the fashion of our time. I mean we don’t walk around in Roman toga’s or 18th century European male fashion aymore. Not by conscious decision. Dressing like that would be a highly conscious act. Some fashion statements are however a 100% conscious decision. Tattoos is one of them. To me it shows a deficit in personality. You succumb too easily to peer pressure and it says something about you. I also think it’s very dumb. What if tattoos go out of fashion?

Looks you tip a massage boy for happy ending 1000 baht? I get away with that too in Pattaya, but not Bangkok in general. I arrived in Bangkok today after Pattaya and the massage boy wouldn’t agree to 1000, we settled on 1500

I am for my once a year trip in Thailand (I used to go three times a year, but other Asian countries are also nice to visit) Has everyone else ever walked from the gay area in Jomtien to Boyztown? I did it and it takes about an hour at slow pace (fast pace is not doable in the heat). I am often bored during morning and early afternoon so I thought let’s kill the time and do this walk. And during the walk I was wondering if I was maybe the first person ever in the history of Pattaya sex tourism who has walked from Jomtien to Boyztown. Any forum member has ever done this walk also?

I will be back in Thailand end of June for 1.5 week after more than 1 year since the last visit. Anyone has up to date info regarding where the most sexy twinks are in massage shops in Pattaya and Bangkok ? I will of course go over some of the recent posts here also, but this may speed it up. I assume prices are still the same? Drinks, off fees, short time? I came in 2014 for the first time and haven't noticed any significant changes really. Maybe Bangkok got more expensive. I do notice the bath is now cheaper than it has been in quite some time. Near the level I remember from 2014. I assume Sunee is now totally gone or some bars still manage to earn a living there? My reply is: yes because when you get older it’s harder to become hard on command. This is not a statement about me. And indeed I am still working. My retirement is far away.

Because when you get older getting hard on command isn’t as easy. I do wonder however how they prepared their ass for bottoming. I tried it a few times and find it very painful.

Don’t assume that. For young guys around age 20 it is very easy to get hard.

Apparently not when you are an expat. Then this rule doesnt apply. Even if you just like me - a tourist - are at that moment a customer of the bar and like to have company of boys. Then as an expat just paying the drink is enough. Next time I will say "I am an expat, I understand you dont expect tips then so I wont give you anything, only a drink"

Well you did pay them in the above scenario more or less. You buy the bottle and share it with them. Free drinks for the boys. If they sat with you and you did not give them anything at all, and yet they chatted with you for free for 30 minutes-1 hour, does that happen? If this does happen and you get this for free I will never tip them again for sitting with me. Because why pay if other older farang get their company for free?
