Certainly on Walking Street in the girlie agogos, the 'outside girls' are often just the bait to lure customers inside. They may be girls on their period, or underage (all too common) who may go inside for a drink with a customer, but are rarely available to be barfined. I have seen less evidence of this in the boy agogos, indeed my absolute favorite is (or was) an outside boy at Toy Boys - usually they are bare-chested and in dark jeans, whereas the boys inside are in their 'tighty-whiteys'. My experiences in Toy Boys are that probably less than half the boys are actually gay - and, although usually up for short-times, they are less interested in in being taken long-time - they have wives and girlfriends waiting! I can understand entirely why a new forum has been created with a relatively high threshold. If we choose to post pictures we need to be able to do so in the confidence that if someone recognises one of the boys he isn't going to go rushing over to show/tell him all about it and then come and derail the thread by kicking-up a fuss. Quite often straight and gay bars recruit from the same areas and provide an informal 'family' that both protects (& controls) new additions to that bar. One of my favourite gay bars in the Jomtien Complex, has a Cambodian boss and lots of the boys are from the same part of Cambodia - some are even related. They take good care of each other and will often try and find customers for each other. Not 'Unions' as such but have much the same benefits at a micro-level.

Take them to Nana Plaza, lots of straight bars and agogos in a multi-story plaza type area - couple of LB agogos as well to shock them. There are even some ST rooms hidden away at the top of the complex should they feel over-tempted. LOL

I can't recall where now, but I have seen a breakdown of the origins of those tourists (the link doesn't work for me), and therefore the tourist trends over the last few years. I seem to recall the the growth in tourists to Thailand was currently from China and other SEA locations. And also as a corollary to that, the number of 'sex tourist' or 'solo travellers' was a decreasing proportion of those overall tourist numbers. All of which will no doubt encourage those in government who want to 'clean-up' Pattaya and its sex-tourism image.

The ladyboy shows at Tiffany or Alcazar are mom-friendly and entertaining, A girl agogo, one of the better ones, such as What's Up or Sapphire on Soi 15 would give a flavour of Walking Street without being too 'bold'. Now I will start off by saying that I have absolutely no idea why numazu hasn't posted for a day or two, but if it were me I would be feeling disheartened. I have written quite a number of Trip Reports over the years, although only one now survives on this forum, and they do take an enormous amount of time and effort to put together. One of the reasons why so few ever get posted. This was (hopefully still is) one of the best TRs I have read on this or any other forum that I belong to and I can well appreciate the craft, pride and joy with which it was put together. You can be praised to the skies by most posters, but it only takes one or two to carp and niggle away with criticisms and suggestions that you have been disrespecting some of the boys by your posts. That sort of thing gnaws away at you and saps your enthusiasm - well it does me that's for sure. IMHO Numazu seems to have gone out of his way to treat all the boys he came across like an absolute gentleman. If Forum rules are broken (and I haven't seen any broken here) then it is surely one of the jobs of the Moderating Team here to adjudicate and sort them out, and our job to report the posts to them that we believe do break those rules. It is also entirely possible, of course to raise issues of concern privately by PM. I am sorry but I really don't think you can justify some of the criticisms made here by simply saying that the OP should learn to develop a thick skin. Is it any wonder that TRs are so few and far between on this forum? There may, of course be many other entirely different reasons why Numazu hasn't posted for a while, but it is certainly one of the reasons why I haven't felt encouraged to post my last TR from January.

I have had seventeen trips to Pattaya over the last few years and only on two occasions have I been offered condom-only blowjobs, once a girl in a Soapy Massage and the other a ladyboy in a Soi 6 bar - I declined both! Now over the years he has been getting generous 'private tips' from me for HJs, but I still give a 'show tip' as I leave of 200 baht to cover for the fact that everyone knows now that he will go out of his way to wait for me when he knows I am visiting. Ok, now to slowly get to my point, an oil massage there is 300 baht and he gets 100 baht of that. He and his girlfriend both work in the same shop and can get three or four massages a day even in low season, sometimes more, varying from oil, physical, to foot and head massages. He talks to me quite freely now, including his work and they get customers from all parts of the globe, and without getting embroiled in cultural or ethnic distinctions some will leave them no tips and some will leave very small tips - maybe 20-40 baht. He regards 100 baht as a good average tip.

Half the problem, IMHO, is that all too many gay bars in Pattaya absolutely suck when it comes to self-publicity. Some of the most successful girl agogos - Sapphire is the best example, and girl bars, have their own web-sites, Twitter pages, and Facebook pages that are regularly updated - sometimes daily, with lots of pictures of their staff. It gets a lot of chatter going and a buzz about the place that draws visitors to them. Consequently Sapphire is usually rammed with customers even in the depths of Low Season. Parties and competitions are regularly promoted. The At Home Bar in Jomtien is the best I have seen at social media promotion and it always seemed the busiest down there. Winner Boys might be a really great bar, but if not enough people know about it then it will be as doomed as so many others in Sunee Plaza have been.

I think that was announced some time ago, but my recollections from January was that it wasn't being fully enforced, although there seemed less of them that before - although thinking about it, it always seemed that way when you were waiting for one anyway LOL
