  1. Both candidates are a nightmare scenario for the US. One is a nightmare for the rest of the world, apart from perhaps Putin, who will be sniggering up his sleeve. Nightmare 1 - Trump gets in and starts trying to implement his plans. Civil rights go back 30 years. Obamacare gone. I would say immigration nightmare but it's going to be a joke as there is no way he has the resources to do what he has promised. Gay marriage down the toilet. Abortion rights down the toilet. If he won, he would likely have a majority, though perhaps a hostile one, in congress and perhaps senate. Worse of all he will name at least one, and as many as 3 or 4, justices to SCOTUS Swinging it so far to the right to affect law making for decades. Nightmare 2 - Clinton gets in and the republicans follow through with their threat to impeach her in the first year and to block anything she tries to do in congress. US politics is broken. The system was designed for a system where politicians could cooperate. Now the sides are so adversarial, I can't see how anything good can come of the next 4 years.
  2. I really hope not. The referendum vote should have been for a generation and not a couple of years till the balance shifted slightly. At this point I just really hope the Scots fuck off their own way if that's what they want and do it soon. Having a referendum every couple of years until 50.1% of scots agree with independence is simple bullshit. The only good thing about the independence movement is that they've, quite successfully, ensured a continued Conservative government in Westminster as, without the Scottish block of seats in Parliament, it's very hard for labour now to win an election.
  3. British MP's would have to show a resolve they simply don't have for that to be true.
  4. Hillary Clinton - E-mail issues that no one understands and a huge and costly investigation resulted in no charges being brought. Donald Trump - Racist - Check Sexist - Check Anti LGBT - Check Self admitted sex offender - Check At least 12 women accusing him of sexual assault - Check In court for alleged rape of 13 year old girl - Check Hasn't paid tax in 20 years - Check Draft dodger - Check Lost $1 billion dollars in one year - Check Ripped people off with Trump University - Check That anyone would even think of electing Trump is amazing to me. That enough Americans will likely vote for him to make him president is simply astounding.
  5. And always the same instigator unable to have a discussion without making it personal.
  6. A lot of talk here about photos but how many here delete their browser history and especially cached files before they travel? Depending on the sites you visit, and the browser you run, you may not even realise you have photos of twinks, let alone know their ages. After all, it isn't unheard of for people to be on Grindr, hornet or other sites and lie about their age.
  7. It isn't divergence or disagreement that causes the problems. It's the few people here who cannot disagree with someone without resulting to petty name calling and, of course, the "I've been here longer so my opinion is more important" argument some love to rely on.
  8. Stop closing the threads, start banning the people doing the personal attacks. Closing threads doesn't remove the root cause. A one week ban, followed by a 1 month bad, followed by a permanent ban would seem to be more appropriate and punish those doing the personal attacks rather than everyone.
  9. I find it more telling that western culture seems to save outpourings of grief for celebrities such as TV personalities, pop stars and actors.
  10. Not wasted. I enjoyed reading it.
  11. Strange how you start posting today having never posted and miss capitalisation of paragraph starts exactly like Rappa.
  12. That's strange, I find true duds to be a rarity thank goodness. Most experiences fall into the middle ground and you get a small number of gems.
  13. There is only one poll that matters. All the others have large margins of errors and, in general, are manipulated to take count of issues in the way they collate data. The interesting stats from polls are how the same polls, repeated over time, vary. National polls mean nothing anyway since there is no national result. Only in the swing states is anything going to matter and voter turn out is going to determine the result, especially with two such reviled figures. The night of the Brexit referendum bookies were offering 10 to 1 against Brexit based on polls. In the end, the oldies (favouring Brexit) voted and the youngsters (favouring remain) stayed home.
  14. People from all over the world want to become US citizens because, as with my country (UK), people see them as lands of opportunity. It has little to do with a 240 year old piece of paper. Whilst in many areas it may still be valid,or has been amended to remain valid, using it as an excuse to allow the number of gun deaths experienced in the US makes no sense. Almost like the people who cherry pick the parts of the bible they want to use to persecute people whilst ignoring the areas they deem inconvenient.
  15. On a side note, I'm not surprised that some of the sex based massage shops are struggling. I had a really good time twice in a normal massage shop on my last trip and also picking guys with massage skills on Grindr/Hornet.
  16. Using evidence of a 240 year old conflict for why you are killing so many of your own people with guns yearly is fairly dumb. I really don't want a US civics class thanks. The US constitution should be consigned where it belongs, though it's a bit rough to use as toilet paper.
  17. Been to Senso twice. First time was ok, second time fairly bad. At the prices they charge I'd rather chance my luck elsewhere. Sad that my two favourites have closed though (Adonis and Hero). Both were always a safe bet. Guess it's back to trial and error.
  18. In my opinion Prince is a lot more hit and miss than Hero. Whilst I didn't always get what I expected at Hero it was always a good time and the unexpected was often far better. Prince I've had both good and bad experiences. Most times walking to Prince I'd find my feet turning into Adonis instead. Guess that isn't an option any more
  19. Which is it exactly ? Treating everyone in a community as a group and assigning actions to them is foolish. There are all sorts here and yes, I go to Thailand for sun, sea and sex. Some others don't. What people get up to in their own time is up to them. Your labels for it come from your own inhibitions and prejudices. Get over it.
  20. No one here has said prohibition. It's about regulation and control. Violent crime exists in most countries to one extent or another and always will. Most countries have learned from school and other massacres to restrict and control gun sales. Looks like the US never will.
  21. We don't allow guns because, guess what, we restricted them after the Hungerford massacre. Your 2nd amendment was based on part of the 17th Century English Bill of Rights. It has no place in the modern world and you have amendments to the constitution because things become out dated and need to be revised. The idea of a militia has not lasted 200 years so why the amendment?
  22. Gun Death Rates are per 100,000 population: US - Total 10.43 - Homicides 3.43 - Suicides 6.69 UK - Total 0.23 - Homicides 0.06 - Suicides 0.15 Seems pretty clear to me. Even using your 11000 figure, that's the equivalent of nearly 4 9/11's per year. As to the 2nd amendment, it needs to be consigned to history. U.S Police are so terrified to do the most basic of tasks that they are repeatedly unlawfully killing people. I can't imagine how hard it must be for them to even pull over a speeding motorist when you don't know if they will have a gun. The result where they keep killing an armed people with no remorse or sanction is going to result only in more deaths on both sides.
  23. Sorry, but blaming HC for the state of the US is fairly insane. The whole political system in the US is broken and putting in someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is also fairly close to insane. The two party system worked when there was a little bi-partizan cooperation but now, with the two parties willing to cause severe damage to the US to further there own ends, it's a mess. I'm continually amazed that the US will bomb another country indiscriminately for a small number of deaths in a terrorist act, not actually perpetrated by the US "target de jour", and yet allows 30,000 deaths a year from guns based on a 240 year old piece of paper that in no way suggests people should be allowed to wander round carrying assault rifles. I don't live in the US and only care who becomes president because the entire direction of the US will be decided by who holds the balance of power and, especially, who elects the next few Supreme Court justices. Trump stands for hatred, bias, bullying and discrimination and is simply not fit to be president.
  24. One only needs to visit any one of a number of tourist sites to realise how much the Thai people venerated their King. To have one thread that doesn't degenerate into name calling and idiocy doesn't seem like too much to ask.
  25. Sorry, but if you don't vote then don't complain. I voted remain but don't blame an age group for the brexit vote, rather the liars in parliament and the gullible of all ages who couldn't see the obvious. That no-one seems to have any clue how to proceed just shows how little many people understood about what the referendum really meant. As for Bernie, he was beaten by the establishment. It certainly isn't the first time it happened and I doubt it will be the last. The hooplah about e-mails is largely engineered. The Bush White House admitted to losing 22 million e-mails. That's over 600 for every one Hillary deleted. If I were the newspapers in the US, I'd be asking the people in charge of their governments I.T systems how the hell a private e-mail server got into their environment and which idiot was in charge of backups.
