The menu actually looks quite good. It has my favourites, so I'd be happy. The prices on the other hand... I just cant bring myself to pay that much for Thai when I know I will be indulging in the real thing soon

I always end up with a lot of coins leftover too. I definitely don't want them in my luggage. In the past I have left bowls full in my room for the cleaning lady, taken bags full to unsuspecting kid beggars (before realising they are part of a child slave labour ring) What is your best way of getting rid of bundles of coins?

That I can do!

I always bring back Baht, maybe 4-5000B. I just want to be able to arrive for the next trip with enough for duty free, taxi, beer and some food

Pure bloody genius

I enjoyed it. He has an answer for most of the usual 'reasons' why being gay is 'wrong or wrong in the eyes of god' etc

I hope I wont have to lower my standard

I'd hate to see the video end up on facebook or some Pattaya News site

I had some Maylasian Ringgit left over from several years ago, probably around 3000B worth. I decided to cash it in whilst in Thailand. It was all larger denominations in good condition but I was only able to change around half of it. Apparently some of the notes, whilst still legal tender, were considered 'to old' (old series I think they said) to be changed in Thailand. I've heard of the money changers not liking torn/damaged notes before and even some don't like aussie $100 but I would have thought age was irrelevant.

Well that's kind of scary. Dodgy unregulated hotels means (possibly) short cuts taken on important things like the up keep of smoke alarms, fire systems, electrical and who knows what else. How do you even tell if a hotel is licensed or not Maybe the authorities think that by closing down sex venues and the like they wont have to chase all the unregulated places as tourist numbers will drop so much they will only need the 40,000 rooms anyway.. TiT

Very true. Of course I 'd still like to see the reports posted here

Lots of Aussies there!! That can be a good or bad thing depending on you!!
-
Haha. I'm very hard to miss, unfortunately

Guys what about accommodation? Has anyone stayed at a reasonably priced hotel or condo? The InterContinental looks really nice, but is out of my price range at $US136 per night

Hahaha. Maybe that wouldn't be punishment for some of them

Thanks Numazu. Those pics are amazing. The beach looks so clean!! I might try and do an overnighter from Pattaya next August and perhaps take a friend with me! I'll echo others sentiments and hope that you update us with your trip reports. I have missed reading about BurBoy. I feel like I know him from reading your posts!

This can make life difficult to spot a freelancer. I guess the majority of them would be on apps

Thank god my flight is only 8hrs. But I still prefer a private car to Pattaya 1200B all up. Pattaya 4 Leisure. I've been using them for the last 5 years with no problems http://www.pattaya4leisure.com/

Unfortunately some people are still going to 'poop' on them even in the 'restricted' area

John Corvino is pretty good. Not often I will sit and watch the entire video when it's nearly an hour long. But this one was worth it
