I for one is not surprised. On the contrary I would say thats a trademark for that bar, outrageous prices and poor service. It's a chineese tourist-trap or for farangs who have so much money that they simply do not care how much they spend.

About 10 boys available all 3 visits I've made to this bar during the last months. They claim showtimes are 22:30 and 23:30 but shows seem to start both before and after those times, I guess it depends on amount of customers. So if you arrive 22:25 and see that the show has already started and pay 250 baht for an alcoholic drink, the show might aswell have started 10 minutes ago and will end in another 10 minutes. Shows lasts 20 minutes, half of that time consists of ladyboys lipsyncing from what I have observed.

Drink prices: alcohol drink for customer 220 baht, drink for boy 250 baht. Off-fee 400 baht. Expected short time tip: 1500 baht. Nice service-minded and not pushy mamasan. Good selection of boys with muscles.

Imho I think prices and (lack of) fun factor are the main reasons many boy gogo bars fail. People go to a bar to enjoy. Not to pay 250 baht for a beer and to constantly being harassed by a ladyboy mamasan. A few bars have understood this, like Eros, and they seeme to have an ok number of customers.

There is no direct access to 3rd rd. As other said it is far off and the road is very dark and abandoned with many street dogs. I would not walk there in the night. I was only there once to look at the facilities but chose not to rent there because of the location.

I wrote a report about WWB in the business section when they reopened a few weeks ago. I did not appreciate the show. But if they can attract chineese tourists, good for them.

One boy from Wild west boys told me they now don´t have gogo-girls in the bar anymore. So their experiment with gogo-girls in a boy-bar lasted about one week.

I can just agree with what many here said, this place has been a dump for a long time and therefor the customers avoided the bar and it closed down for some time recently. But in the past it was a great bar with goodlooking boys! I just could not understand what was the bar´s businessmodel in the last years. They had a few boys in the bar, and brought in the ladyboys from the neighbouring ladyboybar to do most of the shows. Why would anyone pay 250 baht to see the same ladyboys that you can see for a more cheap drinkprice if you go to the bar next-door? Yesterday I walked past Wild west boys and to my surprise it had opened again. The signs "Wild west boys" was up as usual and fully dressed young males in cowboys-hats outside the bar urged me to go inside. I asked "Is it open again?" and got the reply "Yes open again first night now!". The drinkprice was claimed to be 200 baht so I thought I could give this bar another try and see how it was now that it had re-opened. I walked inside and they have removed the old seats and put in new ones, Lines of seats like in a cinema. Looks good and was comfortable! On stage was the usual ladyboys lypsyncing. I thought "Well I can endure some ladyboy-show and wait to see the boys come on up on stage so I can have a look if they´ve filled the bar with new boys for their grand re-opening..." so I sat down ordered a drink and had to pay for the drink immidietly when it was brought to me. After 10 minutes of ladyboys on stage, guess my surprise when up on the stage comes 15-20 young girls go-go-dancing... Yes real girls, young and goodlooking too! But it wasn´t what one might expect in a bar named "Wild west boys". I had to ask one of the staff "Is this not a boybar any more?" and got the reply "We have variety now". Ok... After 20 minutes a girl go-go-dancing I had almost finished my drink and was ready to leave, when I saw a few boys that looked ready to enter the stage so I decided to stay. So the girls left the stage and up came 6 manly looking boys, average-looking in my opinion, fully dressed in jeans, cowboy-boots, cowboy-hats and leather vests. They stood still on stage staring at the audience accompanied by loud techno-music. One of the boys made some brave attempt to "dance" little bit. I left... More confused than ever about this bar. Why do anyone want to pay 200 baht for a drink to see ladyboys in show, gogo-girls dancing and fully dressed boys standing and staring on stage. Who is really this bar´s potential customers and who do they aim to attract as customer naming the bar "Wild west boys"? Well I wish them good luck but I will not bee among their customers.

How much do you pay for drinks and off-fee in Good boys? I was quoted 150 for customer- or boydrink and 500 off-fee. A bit more expensive then other beer bars in Sunee if that was correct.

Thanks for the information! Good to know so I don´t have to bother go and can stay away from there together with Soi Twilight. I´d rather support the bars a few meters from there who charge a 100 baht per drink.

Do any of you gentlemen have a suggestion about condo for rent in Pattaya? I will stay for several months in Pattaya next year and is looking for a suitable condo. Before I´ve stayed in Yensabai condotel a few times, but they lack a gym, the wi fi is so-so, and the rooms I´ve lived in were invaded by huge numbers of ants which I don´t like. Otherwise Yensabai condotel have the perfect location near Sunee. I am looking for a modern style condo or 1 room apartment (about 30-40 squaremeters) in central or south Pattaya (walking distance not much more than 15 minutes to Boyztown and Sunee) with: - Excellent Internet/wi fi (very important) - With gym and swimmingpool available (sauna is a plus) - About 15 000 baht/month or less, available to rent month by month if I suddenly have to go home for business so I don´t want to sign up for 6 month rent - Gay friendly with no problems to bring guest to your room Of course I have googled for suitable condos, but I am looking for advice if you gentlemen know any places that match the description and that you perhaps have personal experience with.

My experience is from Pattaya. Planet Romeo is by far the best there IMHO. Best selection, largets numbers of available thai guys. Hornet is 2nd place, but on PR almost all the thai guys are looking for farangs but on Hornet there are also quite a few thais only looking for other thais. Jack´d worthless in Pattaya.

I offed Bas in May. Lovely boy and well worth to take off. But you write that he was in a hurry to leave and I have the same experience. When he was with me he kept begging for long time tip because he wanted to stay long time, but unfortunately after a short time he got a text message on his phone and he used Google translate (since he speaks very little english) to let me know that "I just found out my sister has been hospitalized. Need to go help her now!". Oh how unfortunate! I tried not to laugh, since it may have ben unappropriate if the possibility of 0,0001% that the message was true about his sister. I paid the short time tip, which he accepted with a sad face. I still laugh every time I think about this, but would definitely see him again though and can´t really blame the boy for trying to see if i was a stupid farang or not.

Totally agree with you floridabob! The prices at Soi Twilight are crazy! I have solved the problem by doing n:o 3 of vinapus suggested solutions: give them a miss. I simply don´t go to Soi Twilight any more. Why pay 6-7 times the amount when there is Saranrom park in Bangkok, or even better - there is Pattaya! Drink prices at 350-500 baht, off-fees at 600-700 baht and asked short time tip at 2000 baht is ridiculous, and should only work for chineese tourists who don´t know they can get better prices elsewhere. If more farangs stop paying the extortion-prices maybe the bars will come to some senses.

Nice boy bar in Pattaya actually had a short show at 11 pm Friday to Sunday last time I was there, in May. Maybe they don´t do it anymore, I don´t know, but perhaps start again when high-season arrives.

Whatever you do, avoid the Wall Street Inn Hotel near Soi Twilight. I made the mistake to book one night there two years ago (fortunately just one night). There are ants everywhere in the hotel. In your bed, in the shower, on the floor, hell there were even ants at the plate with the poor breakfast they served me in the morning, which I of course gave back to them in disgust. On top of that rude staff and they informed me they charge 500 baht for taking guest to my room. Worst hotel I have ever been to anywhere in the world.
